About: I’ve had dogs all my life and am a huge doggie person! I grew up watching my neighbors’ and friends’ pups as well. Happy to take them for walks, feed them, etc or just come by to play! :) My work schedule varies from week to week, so my availability is flexible. Just let me know which days you’re needing and I’ll respond as soon as I can! Please let me know your preferences such as crating your pet, how much food per meal, etc. I always make sure to scan their environment for potential hazards before I leave as well.

About: I have experience as both a dog sitter and watcher on Rover, but had to take an extended break due to work, however, now that I have time again I would love to help take care of your fur baby! I am currently taking a break from the corporate world so have a very flexible schedule and am happy to take your pup for long or short walks or do longer or short house visits. Anything to make your pup as comfy as they can be when you are away! I have experience dealing with senior dogs with mobility, incontinence, and cognitive issues. I also have experience ensuring any bully or flat nose breed dogs do not overheat during the hot Nashville summers. I will always keep your baby on a leash and only provide treats if allowed (but will always provide praise and pats).
“Carlos was so great. I forgot to give him info for house access and he came back to walk my pup anyway once I could be reached. 11/10 service.”

“Whitney did an amazing job taking care of my two dogs while I was away for the week on business. She sent me lots of adorable photos each drop in to reassure me they were doing well and gave me status updates on their potty schedule! I definitely recommend asking her to watch your pups anytime.”

“Teresa watched our dogs this weekend at our house and did great! She was very responsive and made sure our pups were well taken care of. Would use her services again!”

“Ellen is my go-to Rover whenever I have to go out of town. My kitties love her and she always takes the time and effort to capture many great photos and leaves a thorough visit summary. Highly recommend!”

“I have a very skiddish cat so for me to leave her with Hannah and know my cat was comfortable enough to come out and get some attention while I was gone was very reassuring! My cat was well fed and well loved while I was traveling and I'm very appreciate to know I can trust Hannah to do it again!”

“Erin was a fantastic rover! Before my trip, she was flexible on timing to come over and meet my pet / learn his routine, and was extremely communicative during my time away! I got meaningful updates every visit and felt like my pet was in very capable hands🙂”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years, and one thing I always prioritize is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s overnight stays, playtime, walks, or just relaxing at home, I treat every dog like they’re my own. I understand how important it is to trust the person watching your pet, so I make communication a priority. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you always know how your dog is doing 🤍 I keep a calm, clean, and safe environment and only take a limited number of dogs at a time to make sure each one gets plenty of attention and care. I’ve worked with dogs of all personalities and will always adjust to your dog’s needs, routines, and energy level to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I’m a full-time dental student with a consistent schedule, which allows me to provide structured care. I also come home during lunch and dedicate my evenings and weekends fully to pet care. I’ll follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. I live in an apartment, so we do not have yards. However, we have a dog park on the property and lots of local parks for some fun and good exercise.
“Piper is one of the best in the dog walking business. She took so much time with Buster, even putting his little hoodie on him so he wouldn’t get cold. Highly recommended!!”

“Niki was great! We had to book last minute before we left to visit family and were so relieved Niki could help. She even came by for a quick meet and greet right before we left. Definitely will book again in the future.”

“Leanne is friendly and professional. My cats warmed up to her easily and she had no problem giving my older cat his liquid medicine. I love the visit updates with photos as that was so helpful in easing my mind about my kitties while I was away. Communication with Leanne was easy and responsive. I returned to a home in exactly the same condition as I left it which was a welcome relief after a long trip. I will definitely be asking her to care for my kitties again when I am away.”

About: Have been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and many different breeds across the years. Labs, setters, and various shepherds. I also owned a rabbit growing up and have cared for horses. I work fully remotely and have a flexible schedule. I can easily stop for bathroom breaks while housesitting, go on walks during the day, or work remotely anywhere with wifi. I love to read and have put a lot of time into understanding dog body language, respectful touch for pets, and also just love to see them happy and content. Any dog I care for I would treat as my own.

About: I grew up with dogs of all sizes and challenges. I am a single dog mom & love pouring my energy into pups! I would love to come give your dog exercise & attention, rain or shine. I am currently self employed so it leaves my schedule open and flexible. I am available anytime. I can also be available at short notice & do not mind walking in the rain if your pup enjoys it. I am a very patient and compassionate pet owner. I understand animals communicate through movements and smells. I believe in letting dogs stop to sniff & takes breaks to observe and learn about surroundings.
“Big thank you to Anna for checking in on our doggos on a Saturday evening! We made a last minute request and Anna still went out of her way to find time for a meet-and-greet before our scheduled drop-in. We will definitely book with Anna again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nashville
We’ve used Connor a number of times while we go out of town. He’s consistently responsive, timely, and does a great job taking care of our cats. I’m incredibly appreciative of him and would recommend him to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets.

Sarah was positively amazing! She was so kind and attentive to Gus's needs and even thought of things that I (his owner) didn't think about. She went above and beyond to make sure that Gus felt safe and secure. She took adorable photos of Gus and kept me updated on him throughout our time away. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough!

I had such a great experience with Robin! She was extremely reliable, communicative, and clearly took the time to make sure all 4 of our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She even fed our neighbors cat who occasionally comes over for free wet food❤️😊 We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be booking with Robin again. Highly recommend!

Amy was a wonderful sitter for our elusive cat, Neko. She was very respectful of our home, extremely communicative, and aware of his needs throughout our time away. She was also very helpful in giving us updates on our home while we were away - giving us peace of mind. We were very happy with Amy and will happily book her again when are away from our Neko!

Whitney was incredible! We had her check in for daily visits with our cat Kirby while we were out of the country for two weeks, and she was dependable and timely, providing pictures and a written update each time she came. She even watered our plants for us. She was responsive, kind, prompt, and professional.

I can’t recommend her enough! She watched my dog, Apollo, for four days while I was away, and I had complete peace of mind the entire time. Apollo can be a little hesitant with new people, but she was incredibly patient and took the time to earn his trust instead of rushing the process. Before long, they were absolute besties, and it was so reassuring to see how comfortable and happy he became with her. She followed every care instruction perfectly and truly goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs in her care feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I also really appreciated her daily updates and detailed feedback about how each visit went—it made being away from Apollo so much easier. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and Apollo absolutely adored her. I have no doubt he’ll be thrilled the next time he gets to spend time with her. I would trust her with him again in a heartbeat!

Jordan took care of our 4 cats over the past 10 days for home visits and were very thankful to receive communication and updates each day. We had some nuanced instructions and Kordan was very flexible and handled our needs well. We’ll work with Jordan again in the future!

Emma was a fantastic companion and caretaker for our kitties while we were away for 2 weeks. I know they looked forward to her drop ins! We received detailed daily updates that made us feel much better about being away, knowing everything was getting taken care of at home. Emma went way above and beyond by also feeding our goldfish, keeping plants alive, and bringing packages in while we were gone. We will definitely book Emma again if we travel!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
