“Emma is great with our cats and plays with them a lot during her visits. She also cares for the house and is so responsible and communicative. Cannot recommend her enough.”

“Connor accommodated me on short notice and even found the time for a meet & greet to go over routines and Lola’s specific needs. She took right to him and I could tell she was in great hands with the photos and multiple updates. We even discussed some training goals I have for Lola and he worked with her on those throughout the weekend. I was able to enjoy my time away and will not hesitate to use Connor again. I may even take more trips away and book time during the week when I’m busy at work, knowing she’ll be well taken care of. I highly recommend Connor!”
About: I grew up with a family dog who was a shih tzu and poodle mix. Now, I work with furry friends of all types: from those who need a little extra attention to the most easygoing pets! Does your pet need medicine 3 times a day? I do that. Does your dog have leash aggression or very specific likes and dislikes? I've dealt with that too. Separation anxiety? Check! Senior dogs struggling with incontinence? I'm here to help. Currently, I offer house sitting (taking out trash, plant care, etc), drop ins, pet sitting (2-3 walks, medicine if applicable, feeding, play time), pet walks, and feeding. I can sometimes accommodate last minute bookings and am available most holidays and weekends. I offer pet sitting in my client's home to keep pets in the environment where they feel safest. I will collaborate with you to see what works best for your pet and their home. I love pets and can spend a little extra time with them if you're worried about them being left alone. I know each dog and cat is different, so I'm happy to adjust to make sure they feel safe and comfortable!
“Lindsey was so flexible and helpful with reminders about what we were running out of when we had to leave town unexpectedly when my dad went on hospice and then passed away. Cats were well cared for !”

“Leanne was wonderful with our black lab Chaco, who has a little bit of separation anxiety, while we were away! She sent lots of updates and photos through the Rover cards throughout the stay so we knew how Chaco was doing and she was great with him. Would definitely recommend Leanne!”

“Emily was amazing!! She did a meet and greet for our puppy and made sure to pay attention to all our instructions! She sent so many pics and made sure to hang out with our pup for more than the time we booked! I’ll always recommend her!”

“Emily and Matthew were amazing with my pups! Sent detailed report cards after every drop in so I knew exactly what was going on. I will definitely be using them for all my dog sitting needs! Thank you guys so much!!”

“Isabel was amazing! She let Remy out twice while we were at work and he loved it—she sent plenty of pics and even worked with us when we had some gate issues! Will be reaching back out to her!!”

“Ally was phenomenal! Excellent and professional communication with me, and above and beyond cat care! My kitty cat was very calm and happy when I returned from my travels. Thanks so much!”

About: Grew up with dogs my entire life, once I got a little older I used to watch my family friends animals all the time! Now in Nashville I help volunteer at wags and walks but I want to do more! I work remote for work so I have a flexible schedule that can adjust as needed. Im happy to snuggle with your animals or run around and play! I work remote so I am easily able to play with your animals or let them out and enjoy the fresh air for a little bit! I will follow any rules you may have for your animal. Im comfortable handling some bigger dogs on a leash or running around with them in your backyard. I've been around animals a lot so I know to pick up on if something may be wrong and will let you know right away!
“This is my first time using Rover and Sophia is a great caretaker of my fur babies. She is very communicative and responsive and takes great care of my cats. In the pictures she send back to me, I can tell my cats love her as well. Would absolutely book with her again in the future!!❤️”

“Olivia is the best. I had to go back to work while my pup was still recovering from getting fixed. Her nursing background made her the perfect choice. She is always on time and is meticulous about following care instructions. Highly recommend!”

“Erin was a fantastic rover! Before my trip, she was flexible on timing to come over and meet my pet / learn his routine, and was extremely communicative during my time away! I got meaningful updates every visit and felt like my pet was in very capable hands🙂”

“Sydney was great! She was flexible and even picked up food for our kitties while we were away on vacation. They had a great time with her and she took great care of them. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m Alexa, a lifelong dog lover who genuinely loves spending time with animals. I previously offered dog boarding through Rover, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. Now, I’m focusing on dog walking and drop-in visits! Whether your pup needs a midday walk, some playtime and attention while you’re away, or a little extra company during the day, I’d love to help. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, give your pup lots of attention, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re gone. I currently am looking for full-time work so I have open availability for Rover pups! I am available any day throughout the week and on weekends. I have a fenced in yard where dogs can play for as long as they want and a small dachshund that loves playing with other dogs. He is older so it takes him a minute to understand what playing is but once he understands a dog wants to play with him he's all in. He also understands when a dog does not want to play and typically just lays in his bed when he wants to relax. I also let dogs on the couch so they can hang with us! (Unless you prefer they stay off the furniture. I want to keep patterns the same whether at my house or yours!)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Berry Hill
Angela is reliable and diligent, and the cats clearly felt comfortable with her. She sent pictures of them sitting in her lap and asking for treats. She also kept me informed, and asked questions whenever they came up. I would happily have her cat sit again in the future.

Professional, kind, on time, she was actively engaged with our puppies. Not on her phone or in the bathroom for half the visit. We have her booked for the next two out of town trips this summer. Thank you Olivia for your flexibility! -Courtney and Micheal Early, Colonel, Rusty

We’ve used Connor a number of times while we go out of town. He’s consistently responsive, timely, and does a great job taking care of our cats. I’m incredibly appreciative of him and would recommend him to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
