I work from home so I am home almost all the time. Your pet becomes one of my pack and will enjoy lots of loves and attention. I cook for my dogs. Jaxx and Gidget are fed 2x daily and Jaxx takes meds. Most of my Rover doggies love to play with Gidget in my yard or inside if the weather isn't nice. Your dog will join, as appropriate (but will never be left alone!) And I love when dogs want to sleep with me! LOL

My yard is fully fenced and secure. My 7 pound MinPin/Chihuahua recently passed away but I made sure my yard was secure enough so she could not escape! I double gate my entry and it is locked from the inside. I put my own dog tag on your pet's collar while s/he is here for extra ID. I extended the height of my fence because my Jack Russell can jump 4 feet straight up! So my fence is a full 6' tall. Weather permitting, my door is open all day so all dogs can come-and-go into my yard as they need. If play really gets going, I make sure there is enough water and that everyone takes breaks to cool down.

Information Laura A. would like to know about your pet
I really INSIST ON A MEET-AND-GREET PRIOR TO BOOKING A NEW DOG. Its only fair to both your dog and mine. I don't have any breed preferences. I do prefer dogs that are well socialized and friendly by nature. My big guy (Jaxx) is intimidated by large male dogs so I'm limiting the dogs I take to small or medium-sized dogs. Larger than 50 pounds on a case x case basis only.
A typical day
Weather-permitting, doggos are welcome to enjoy my secure, fenced yard and have the freedom to roam and play. I'm happy to play ball with anyone who loves to chase! If we need to be inside, the kids can play freely in my living room. A few of my Rover doggies do parkour in my living room. Its hilarious! And we have regular games of "bed wrestling." Not sure why, but my Rover doggies seem to love to play wrestle on my king sized bed. LOL. I keep a trove of fuzzy toys and various things to chew on. We have treatie times at 10am and 2pm and, if you're boarding, there's the nighty-nite treatie at 7pm. We like to visit the Baxter Bailey pet store for homemade, gourmet treats!

Lot's of playtime!
Pet care experience
I believe dogs are the universe's gift to mankind. I work from home so I'm rarely gone. My yard is fully fenced and except if it's pouring rain or extremely hot, my door is always open so guest doggies can come-and-go to the yard. My home is small so I only will board 1 dog at a time. Kisses and belly rubs at no extra cost! I DO INSIST ON A MEET-AND-GREET BEFORE I WILL ACCEPT A NEW DOGGO. I just want all parties to be comfortable and happy. I have certificates in Canine Behavior and Training I & II from Trish King (who pioneered Dog Behavior & Training programs for the Humane Society nationwide), First Aid, Dog-tec's Dog Walking Academy and am certified in dog Swim Therapy. I'm knowledgeable about dog food/nutrition and medications. I have a large rescue boy named Jaxx. He's a Saluki-Shepherd mix (think: hairy greyhound type) and he's about 9 years old. He used to LOVE to play wrestle but he was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease in March of 2023 so he is on meds and a new, homemade diet. He is doing great and is stable but he's not as energetic as he used to be. I had a MinPin/Chihuahua who went over the Rainbow Bridge late 2022. My little girl was alpha and she taught Jaxx everything he knows so he is gentle and loves little dogs! Some good news!! I adopted a little girl named Gidget! She's a Jack Russell and she's now about 2-3 years old. Gidget is VERY playful and has loved all my Rover doggies (and has worn them out! LOL). When she isn't play wrestling with one of my Rover doggies, she's leading the Squirrel Patrol in my backyard. Your fur baby will be part of our pack and enjoy full-time company!
Reviews

Laura did a wonderful job of taking care of Polly over several days. Polly loved playing with her dogs in her home with lots of toys, and out in her fences back yard. Laura sent me videos and updates on Polly everyday. I could see that Polly was eating, sleeping and playing. It put my mind at ease and able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely be taking Polly back to Laura’s.

My dog was well taken care of. She enjoyed playing with the other dogs.
Great communication. My dog is odd and she was as happy as she could be and loved her dogs

Laura was great! Great communication and frequent updates. Our dog had a great time!
