“Lisa was wonderful with our 2 dogs and we loved seeing the pictures from her visits. I highly recommend her and anytime we need another person to watch our dogs we will be booking with her.”

About: I love dogs and have taken care of them all my life! I recently lost my companion of 12 years in April 2026, Finley, who passed onto the rainbow bridge due to old age. Finley was a 120lb gentle giant, so I am highly experienced with large breeds and dogs of all sizes. Whether you have a Great Dane or a Pomeranian, I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Being a dog lover while no longer having one has been heartbreaking for me, but it also means that I now have the opportunity to hangout with your pup! :) I only ask for a week in advance notice and prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand to see if we align. Take a look at my calendar and see what works for you! I work my day job Thursday through Sunday and am currently available for house sitting Sunday night through Thursday morning and drop-in visits M, T, W. I am available to come to your home or your dog is welcome to stay at mine! I live in a 900 Sq. Ft. apartment with plenty of space for a small or medium dog or a low activity older large breed. I have two orthopedic beds that are cleaned thoroughly after each stay and two dog bowls.

“Jessie was fantastic! She took great care of our cats while we were away. She was very thorough with the litter boxes, spent some time playing with them, and sent us lots of adorable photos, which we really appreciated. We also have a pretty complicated apartment entry system that requires using an app, and she was so patient and willing to work with it without any complaints. She was incredibly easy to communicate with and made the whole experience completely stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. We’d definitely book with Jessie again!”

“Kelsey did a fantastic job with my senior dog! I love getting the sweet notes each day and lots of pictures. I knew Bear was in good hands with Kelsey from day one. Thanks Kelsey!”

“I truly couldn’t ask for someone better than Cheryl. She was so kind and trustworthy from the moment we met her. She sent us many pictures every visit and gives the cutest and most detailed updates every time! I will definitely be booking her again.”

“Sahara did a great job keeping my old kitty happy for a week while I was out of town. She is really good at communicating and kept me updated for the whole week. Thanks Sahara!”

“Wow! Thank you Kathy for taking such great care of Kingston! She went out of her way to check on him and gave him lots of love. Definitely will book again”

About: I love all dogs and I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have a dog named Eddie who is 6 years old. My family has many dogs of different sizes and needs. I have experience with giving dogs medicine, anxiety & dogs that aren’t good with other dogs. I do work full time during the week from home. I am not able to watch other pets in my home at this time. I can visit your home for drop ins and walks as needed. I work from home with pretty flexible hours to tend to your pet as needed. I have free time after work and on weekends for longer breaks. I currently cannot watch other animals in my home but will happily come to yours! I will treat your home and pet like my own.
“Jamie was so helpful while we were out of the country for a week. Our kitties were very well cared for and were in such good spirits when we arrived home — Jamie even watered my kitchen plants. Would recommend Jamie to anyone for care of you cats or dogs!”

“Connie was great!! She did drop-in visits for our fur babies while we were on vacation and our other sitter was at work. She let them out and played with them. The doggies all looked very happy in the photos she took! Thanks!”

About: I have had pets all my life. I have 2 dogs and 1 cats they get a long with all their pet friends. We have regulars that come over for the holidays and vacations. My home is open to all pets no restrictions. We like to make it feel like home when they are here. I work from home so there is lots of love thru out the day and play time outside. We have a dog door so they can go outside when they want and come in when wanting to hang out in the A/C. Also there is a pool for pups to swim and have fun if they want. I am so super flexible with times and making it easier on everyone.
About: I have experience caring for cats, including those with anxiety and overgrooming. I currently care for my own cat and focus on keeping a calm, consistent environment. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, medications, and paying attention to behavior changes. I take time to build trust with each cat and always provide updates and photos. I also grew up with puppies. I have experienced walking, going potty, and playing! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I have a consistent schedule and am available Wednesday through Friday in the evenings and Saturdays during the day. I already care for my own cat daily, so feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with pets is something I’m used to. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure each pet gets reliable, on-time care and attention. In a client’s home, I follow your cat’s normal routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat’s personality. I take a calm, patient approach, especially with shy or anxious cats, and never force interaction. I also monitor behavior, administer medications if needed, and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.
About: I have always been an animal lover and have grown up with dogs in my home. Neighbors, family and teachers/professors have relied on me to walk, feed and tire out their pets when they are out of town or gone for long periods of time. I have 2 dogs of my own and know how easy it is to worry about if they are okay when they are home for long durations of time without a check in or walk. I'm available after 3:30 Monday through Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sundays. Can also be available for lunch breaks on Monday, Thursday and Friday if needed. Depending on what the dog owners are comfortable with and if the space permits, I love to play in fenced in backyards to tire out fur babies (fetch, tug of war, chase, etc). I also love a good walk with lots of sniff and potty breaks!
About: I’ve been an animal person all my life and have always cohabitated with cats and dogs—I’ve been told I have good and calming energy with animals that makes them feel comfortable and secure with me. I have direct experience working in the animal care field at a local shelter; I facilitated dog and cat intakes, run dog playgroups & performed behavioral assessments. While managing the kennel, feeding schedules, special care and enrichment activities are important to me! I have direct experience administering vaccines, medication, and completing health assessments from newborn dogs and cats to seniors/palliative care. Gentle hands, warmth and kindness are important to me when handling animals. I take care of my own cats, dogs and chickens each day—working in the shelter environment it was a full time job, caring for animals. I hope to move into a more flexible routine caring for animals that aligns with my lifestyle. I will care for your animals just like how I care for my own. Maintain feeding schedules, exercise needs and balanced play/relax time. I have no problem administering medications and special meals for your pets and meeting their standard of care!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
