“This was our first time working with Abbey (and AJ), and we couldn't be happier! We have two dogs (a lab mix and a chihuahua mix), and both of them can have a little anxiety being in a new place, so we scheduled drop-in visits in our own home to help them feel more comfortable. Abbey and AJ were very accommodating, coming to our house to meet us and the dogs, and go over every detail of the sitting plan. They definitely put us at ease knowing the dogs would be well taken care of, and sent us plenty of pics to let us know they were doing well and getting plenty of attention. They will definitely be first on our list the next time we head out of town! Thanks Abbey and AJ!”

About: I love dogs and have taken care of them all my life! I recently lost my companion of 12 years in April 2026, Finley, who passed onto the rainbow bridge due to old age. Finley was a 120lb gentle giant, so I am highly experienced with large breeds and dogs of all sizes. Whether you have a Great Dane or a Pomeranian, I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Being a dog lover while no longer having one has been heartbreaking for me, but it also means that I now have the opportunity to hangout with your pup! :) I only ask for a week in advance notice and prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand to see if we align. Take a look at my calendar and see what works for you! I work my day job Thursday through Sunday and am currently available for house sitting Sunday night through Thursday morning and drop-in visits M, T, W. I am available to come to your home or your dog is welcome to stay at mine! I live in a 900 Sq. Ft. apartment with plenty of space for a small or medium dog or a low activity older large breed. I have two orthopedic beds that are cleaned thoroughly after each stay and two dog bowls.
“This was our second time booking with Olivia!! She was amazing again! Very patient with us after we had a mishap on our end and also was flexible with us! She is very kind and so great with our cats!! We will be booking with her again in the future.”

“Wow! Thank you Kathy for taking such great care of Kingston! She went out of her way to check on him and gave him lots of love. Definitely will book again”

“I am extremely happy with the way she took care of Zeus tenderly. I was provided with lots of pictures of Zeus that made me feel happy. I highly recommend her service. Again Nicole Thank you.”

About: I’ve had pets in my life for as long as I can remember. My first childhood pet was a sweet dachshund named Greta. In my adulthood, I have been caring for my own pets for the past 26 years. We love to have our dogs Bertie and Chester near us wherever we are, indoors and outdoors. More recently, we have welcomed two incredible cats, Belle and Zesty, into our family as well. In my experience, having pets truly makes life better. I would welcome spending time with your pet, whether in your home or out on a walk, and would care for them as I would one of the pets in my own family. I am comfortable caring for active pets as well as seniors who are moving a little slower these days. I am taking some sabbatical time away from my full-time profession, so I have lots of time and energy available to care for your furry friends (as well as my own dogs and cats). I believe that pets make our lives better, and in turn I am committed to making their lives as comfortable and enjoyable as I possibly can. You can depend on me being detail-oriented and conscientious; I will stick closely to the instructions you share with me about how best to provide for your pet’s needs while you are away (as regards schedule for feeding, cat litter box tending, dogs being taken outside, medications to administer, and so on). As someone who has entrusted my own pets to the care of sitters over the years, I understand the importance of making sure my clients’ dogs and cats get lots of loving care and undivided attention, in addition to providing for their physical needs.
“Katherine was fantastic! She had a great personality and was so enthusiastic about meeting our pups right away- they were immediately happy and comfortable with her. We had an unexpected 6 hour flight delay, and she went above and beyond by accepting a last minute booking on a Sunday night to come back to our house to take care of them. The level of flexibility and reliability gave us a huge peace of mind while we were traveling. We are grateful for her help and will definitely be booking with Katherine again.”

“Taylor was amazing! She was very efficient, timely, communicative, & responsive. She loved on my kitty & gave him lots of attention. This allowed me to go in my trip & not worry about my cat. I will definitely use her again! Thanks so much Taylor!!!!”
“Blaise booked on short notice when my plans fell through for my dogs. I really liked getting pics with a report about what each did on their walk. Great, friendly and reliable!”

“Makena is amazing! She is very responsible and communicative, and my dog absolutely loves her. She sent updates that made my day, and I will definitely be using her services again!”

“Andrew is literally the best!! I have a 12 week old goldendoodle who’s very shy. Andrew was very patient and took his time with my pup. He follows instructions precisely and responds quickly. Highly recommend!!”

“Jessie was fantastic! She took great care of our cats while we were away. She was very thorough with the litter boxes, spent some time playing with them, and sent us lots of adorable photos, which we really appreciated. We also have a pretty complicated apartment entry system that requires using an app, and she was so patient and willing to work with it without any complaints. She was incredibly easy to communicate with and made the whole experience completely stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. We’d definitely book with Jessie again!”

“Cheryl is an absolute rockstar and takes amazing care of my dogs. She gives detailed and thoughtful feedback and photos. I never have to worry when they are with her!”

About: I love all dogs and I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have a dog named Eddie who is 6 years old. My family has many dogs of different sizes and needs. I have experience with giving dogs medicine, anxiety & dogs that aren’t good with other dogs. I do work full time during the week from home. I am not able to watch other pets in my home at this time. I can visit your home for drop ins and walks as needed. I work from home with pretty flexible hours to tend to your pet as needed. I have free time after work and on weekends for longer breaks. I currently cannot watch other animals in my home but will happily come to yours! I will treat your home and pet like my own.
“Kelsey is so great. She is very responsive and our pets just love her! She always goes above and beyond when she visits… Keeps everything nice and clean and tidy! We are so thankful for her!”
“Katie covered my cat's basic needs well, gave her medicine, and sent regular updates with photos. There was some miscommunication between us about keeping the litter box clean and the time of day she should come, but Katie was responsive to fixing these issues when they came up.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pasquo. On Rover:

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
