“Andrew is literally the best!! I have a 12 week old goldendoodle who’s very shy. Andrew was very patient and took his time with my pup. He follows instructions precisely and responds quickly. Highly recommend!!”

“Wow! Thank you Kathy for taking such great care of Kingston! She went out of her way to check on him and gave him lots of love. Definitely will book again”

“Katherine was fantastic! She had a great personality and was so enthusiastic about meeting our pups right away- they were immediately happy and comfortable with her. We had an unexpected 6 hour flight delay, and she went above and beyond by accepting a last minute booking on a Sunday night to come back to our house to take care of them. The level of flexibility and reliability gave us a huge peace of mind while we were traveling. We are grateful for her help and will definitely be booking with Katherine again.”

“Jessie has been great with Gizmo and we've loved her communication and how much time she takes to make sure everything is done right. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I love dogs and have taken care of them all my life! I recently lost my companion of 12 years in April 2026, Finley, who passed onto the rainbow bridge due to old age. Finley was a 120lb gentle giant, so I am highly experienced with large breeds and dogs of all sizes. Whether you have a Great Dane or a Pomeranian, I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Being a dog lover while no longer having one has been heartbreaking for me, but it also means that I now have the opportunity to hangout with your pup! :) I only ask for a week in advance notice and prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand to see if we align. Take a look at my calendar and see what works for you! I work my day job Thursday through Sunday and am currently available for house sitting Sunday night through Thursday morning and drop-in visits M, T, W. I am available to come to your home or your dog is welcome to stay at mine! I live in a 900 Sq. Ft. apartment with plenty of space for a small or medium dog or a low activity older large breed. I have two orthopedic beds that are cleaned thoroughly after each stay and two dog bowls.

“Makenna is AMAZING. So sweet with the dogs and follows directions so well. She even went above and beyond to help in an urgent situation I had. She will be my absolute go to anytime we need services.”

“Taylor was amazing! She was very efficient, timely, communicative, & responsive. She loved on my kitty & gave him lots of attention. This allowed me to go in my trip & not worry about my cat. I will definitely use her again! Thanks so much Taylor!!!!”
“Nicole is the sweetest person you will ever meet! My cat absolutely loves Nicole and I will absolutely be asking her to come watch my kitty again. If you are ever wondering who is the best person to watch your animal I would HIGHLY recommend Nicole!”

“Kelsey did a fantastic job with my senior dog! I love getting the sweet notes each day and lots of pictures. I knew Bear was in good hands with Kelsey from day one. Thanks Kelsey!”

“Cheryl is an absolute rockstar and takes amazing care of my dogs. She gives detailed and thoughtful feedback and photos. I never have to worry when they are with her!”

“Connie is great! She always detailed everything she did during her visit, sent lots of pictures of our pets; and even cleaned up a small mess they made while we were gone. We’d recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs my whole life! I now have two kitties of my own. I often take care of my friend’s pets! I am a Social Worker at Vanderbilt looking to save some extra money! I grew up with pets so I understand the love, care, and attention pets need to feel happy and comfortable. I am available after 5 pm during the week and then anytime on Saturday and Sunday! For dogs, I enjoy long walks, playtime, and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. For cats, I focus on interactive play, gentle companionship, and snuggles based on their comfort level. I always aim to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾

About: Caring for animals is my jam. My experience is with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I've had my own dogs for over 30 years. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pasquo. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
