“Malesa stayed with our two chihuahuas for 7 days. She was amazing, she even cooked for them! My puppies didn’t even miss us!! We are so grateful that she stayed with our puppies!”

“Thank you Dana for doing such a great job with our two dogs and cat. You house sat for us for three nights and four days. The dogs were extremely happy with the way you played ball with them and let our sweet baby Ren sleep in bed with you we went away out of state to our daughters graduation and you made the experience so comfortable by always responding and sending pictures of the babies while we were gone. I can see why you’re booked out for so long. We will definitely use you again in the future if we’re able to get into your busy calendar. But I understand why you’re so busy thank you so much.”

“I was incredibly nervous as this was the first time I have ever used a pet sitter, but my anxiety disappeared the moment I met David. He was fantastic from start to finish. He came over a few days before the appointment to meet Gracie and for us all to get acquainted, which put both me and my pup at ease. When the actual pet sitting day arrived, he was prompt, professional, and incredibly considerate. He sent multiple photo updates throughout his visit, which absolutely made my day and let me know Gracie was in great hands. It’s safe to say Gracie has found a new BFF! This dog mom is thrilled to have found such a reliable, caring person to stay with her baby when I need to be away from the house for an extended period of time. I highly recommend his services and will definitely be booking him again!”

“We have a brand new puppy and I was SO nervous to leave him. Blaise instantly put us at ease. She sent updates and took amazing care of our sweet boy it was evident he loved her!”

“I had such a great experience with Allison! She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly love animals. My dog was happy, well cared for, and got plenty of attention while I was away. I also appreciated the regular updates and photos—it gave my real peace of mind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!”

“Jason really came to the rescue when the dog sitter I had scheduled cancelled days before my trip! The dogs loved him and everything went seamlessly. Highly recommend Jason and will definitely book him again!”

“Samantha & Will were fantastic! Followed all instructions, sent lots of updates, and even left us some Polaroids of our pup. Can’t wait to have them back!”

“Amanda did a wonderful job caring for my new puppy, Maya. This was my first time leaving my puppy at home and was thinking about her all evening. Amanda sent me photos, a video, and sent me updates on how she was settling, which I loved and greatly appreciated! I would 100% reach out to her again and would highly recommend!”

“Things were as we left them. She was Polite. Sweet and kind to all our animals. And she is a Christian women that I didn’t mind having in my HOUSE ….. When we got home the babies were happy and they got fed well. Thank you Carol for rescuing us from our sitter Troubles .. so nice to meet you MAAM . We are rebooking soon .”

“We could not have asked for a better experience with June. This was our very first time using Rover and also the first time leaving our 1-year-old puppy, along with our 14-year-old dog, so we were naturally very anxious. From the very beginning, June was incredibly sweet, patient, and loving with both of them. Our puppy had a hard time adjusting to us being away, which was expected, but June handled it with so much calm, understanding, and care. She reassured us that this was normal and stayed consistent and gentle with him until he settled in. True to her word, every day got better. What we appreciated most was her communication. June kept us updated daily with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was also very receptive to any suggestions we shared and immediately applied them, showing how committed she was to doing what was best for our dogs. It is not easy to trust someone with your home and your pets, especially for the first time, but June exceeded every expectation. We feel incredibly grateful that we found her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and genuinely loving pet sitter.”

About: I have always grown up with dogs around and in first grade, I got my first cat. My dad worked at pet smart and my mom was a dog groomer, I have grown up with an affinity for caring for pets. Throughout my childhood we took in senior dogs and it’s something I consider myself to specialize in. I have been house sitting and pet sitting since I was 14. I currently work full time from Saturday to Wednesday. My workdays typically last from 8am to 4:30-5:00pm. Thursday and Friday are my days off and I am fully free on those days. My workday hours should be considered if your pet requires frequent bathroom breaks, walks, and medication. I have experience with all types of dogs and cats. I have cared for senior dogs and cats, pets that require medication, and special needs pets. I love walking dogs and I am happy to chill out with your cat.
“I’ve used Rover more than 20 times over the years, and Rose was by far the best sitter we’ve ever had! She went above and beyond to ensure we knew our pups were in great hands, keeping us updated and handling every detail with care. She not only met all of our requests but exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!”

“Casey was AMAZING! I was so nervous leaving my 9 month old puppy with her for an entire weekend but she was so reassuring and sent updates and pictures along the way. My pup even looked around the house for her when we got back because they had such a great time together! Will definitely book her again!!”

“Ashua is the most empathetic, kind caring sitter we have ever used through Rover. Ashua had the most trying situation to navigate as our elderly chihuahua passed away while she was sitting for us and she handled the entire situation with grace and heart tending to him to ensure he was comfortable in his final day on this earth. We will be forever grateful for Ashua!!”
“Matt was awesome! He was on time, provided regular updates, and left the house very clean. Not to mention, the pups were well taken care of! I will definitely use him again.”

“Kelsey is great! We feel so confident in her care of our pets and our home. We don't worry about either while we are away. It is so nice to come home to our tidy home and happy dogs. We highly recommend her.”

“Taylor was so conscientious and communicative! I really felt like we were in great hands with her - and our Rosie adored her too. We would be happy to book with Taylor again in the future!”

“We feel so fortunate to have had Hannah and Matt take such good care of our pet family this weekend. They are kind, detail oriented, and they checked in daily with lovely updates. They left the house even tidier than we left it, and they were an absolute pleasure to coordinate and communicate with. We will absolutely ask them to house/pet sit for us again soon!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pasquo
Sophia was a wonderful puppy sitter. She stayed in our home, while I was on a business trip abroad. She did everything I asked and more. It was a houseful of puppies, but she one them over...even our shy Bailey. She has great chemistries with dogs! As a house sitter, she was responsive to my texts, texted good questions, sent lots of great pics of the puppies at home and on walks. When I got back, the dogs expected me to up my game. :-) Nothing but good things to say.
Ashley is our magical dog whisperer! Our sons dog and our dog don’t get along but with Ashley’s calm manner they cohabited well. She’s amazing! She also took good care of our home! We received daily pictures and positive messages which helped us to relax and enjoy our trip. We will have her back!

John was great to work with. He met up with us for walks a few times ahead of our trip to get Malla comfy with him, and had her wrapped around his finger by the time we left. He kept her exercised and was very attentive to her diet and medications. He communicated regularly with photos and also took care of the house. We intend/hope to use John again in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pasquo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pasquo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pasquo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
