About: I grew up with dogs and can relate to them on an emotional level. I try to treat dogs and animals better than I treat even myself! I know basic dog training but am not certified. Currently I work as a freelance writer. I want to supplement with Rover, so my schedule is wide open to suit you and your dog’s needs. As an in-home sitter, I will follow care instructions for your animals to the letter. I am attentive and will care for your dog’s needs.

“Alexis was fantastic. She stayed with our dogs for a few days. We got great updates. But most importantly, when a series of bad storms swept through our town, she was there to comfort the nervous puppies.”

“Carrie was a great dog sitter. She took amazing care of our dogs and house. She sent me pictures of my dogs which made me feel stress free on my trip. Thank you!!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I used to have a lab mix that I rescued from the side of the road and rehabilitated - she unfortunately passed in January. I now have an 80 pound lab mix! I also worked at a veterinarian's office for several months and gained much knowledge about dogs and cats in that environment. I have been dog sitting for several years and have obtained experience working with all kinds of dogs, including puppies and seniors. I am excellent with people, dependable, and hard working. My schedule is flexible due to working from home. I promise to provide excellent service for you and your most beloved pets! I work from home part-time so I have an open and flexible to take care of your animals when needed. I am available throughout the day as well - whether early mornings or later in the evenings! I first make sure trust is established between myself and your pet and then make sure to stick with their routine. Whether in my own home or in yours, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved and cared for while under my care.

“Claire took excellent care of our pups and the house. She was very responsive and kept us updated throughout our trip. The house was tidy and well kept and the pups were happy when we got home.”

“Nevaeh took care of my 2 pups for 5 days. When I got home they were relaxed and happy. They obviously were well cared for. I had daily communication with Nevaeh, so I knew all was going well. I would love to have Nevaeh take care of my dogs again.”

About: I have been around animals my whole life! I grew up on a farm with horses and chickens, as well as dogs and cats, and attended a 4-H dog training course for several years when I was a kid. I entered the veterinary medicine profession in 2021 and have worked with dogs for 2 of those 4 years. I also helped my mom raise and care for Great Danes from teens to adulthood. I am comfortable trimming nails, bathing, expressing anal glands or providing training while you are away if your sweet pet allows it without much stress! Comfortable with dogs of any size as well as cats! I own two of my own cats (Miki and Dean) and adopted the first dog of my own in September 2023 (his name is Hank!) I am currently on the schedule as needed at my job, so I am free most of the time. Free every weekend and most weekdays! :) I am very comfortable with crate training, comfortable with medicating your pet if needed or adapting to your pet care needs. I also know how to express feline bladders in the case of special needs pets, and am great at following specific instructions. Just let me know if your pet is aggressive, and I will take special care to go slowly with them and earn their trust.

About: I often petsit for friends, neighbors, and new people. I am able to meet special or medical needs your pet may have! I do not have any veterinary training, but i am familiar with giving injections if needed. My parents’ dog has diabetes and I am comfortable giving him his insulin twice a day, and would be happy to accommodate the same for your pet! I looove all animals. I also volunteer at the animal shelter sometimes to help out and take care of their dogs! I am about to start working full time, but I am flexible and able to take care of your pet any time when I am off work! Shifts aren’t too long, so if it is overnight pet sitting they won’t be alone long I cannot have pets in my own home. However, I am able to drive to clients homes to care for their pets! If they want their pet to go to dog parks, I can take them there.

“Chloe was the BEST! My dog has always had extreme separation anxiety (thankfully it has improved) so I am always stressed when I have to leave him. Chloe took Boone on lots of runs/walks, and even kept up with his enrichment toys. She was excellent at being able to tell if he needed his anxiety medicine and overall made sure him and I were comfortable. We spent over an hour getting to know each other and she loved learning about Boone and his behavioral tendencies. As someone who has always been told that their dog is too high maintenance, Chloe did not make me feel that way at all. Thank you Chloe for being so tentative! 😊”

About: I have always loved animals and have had pets in my home for as long as I can remember! I have dog sitting and cat sitting experience, both in staying with the pets and checking in on them daily! Any time I get to spend with a pet is a fun time:) I have flexibility in the summer to adjust my schedule to a client's needs! I can do daily walks/check-ins multiple times a day and am able to spend time with each pet! When I stay at a client's home, my goal is always to leave it as if I were never there! Everyone wants to return home from a trip to a happy pet and a clean house!

15. Ava J.
“I highly recommend Ava Johnson as an exceptional pet sitter. She has cared for my cat, Grayson, for several years—beginning when she was still in high school—and I can say without hesitation that she is one of the most dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented caregivers I’ve ever known. Grayson is a complicated cat with a long list of needs: food sensitivities, medical treatments, and challenging bathroom habits. Ava handled every aspect of his care with precision and genuine concern, consistently going above and beyond to ensure his well-being. I always returned home to find him relaxed and healthy—a clear sign of her attentive and loving care. Beyond her excellent care for Grayson, Ava earned my full trust with my home. I never once worried about leaving her with keys and access; her integrity and sense of responsibility were obvious from the beginning. She treated my home with the same respect and care that she gave my pet. If you are looking for someone who is not only reliable and capable but who will treat your pets as if they were her own, Ava is the person you want. She is truly outstanding, and I recommend her with great enthusiasm and complete confidence.”
