About: I had a pet-sitting service for 15 years, and then I started caring for dogs in my home through Dog Vacay. I took a break to care for my ailing mother and then I became a Nanny to a newborn boy. He is now 4 years old and my services are no longer needed. I am also a missionary to Uganda. I've been helping with a woman's ministry since 2007. I can not be idle, so I'm reactivating my Rover profile. I’m available for Drop-In visits or House Sitting. I am retiring as a Nanny and I am reactivating my Rover account. I’m not taking care of pets in my home, but I can come to you; Drop-Ins and House Sitting. While I am in your home, I will also bring in your mail/packages, water your plants, and bring in or take out your trash bins. I can come to you, Drop-Ins or House Sitting. While I’m there with your pets, I will also bring in your mail, trash in & out, water your plants, etc.
“David is a really patient and kind person. He’s been our pet/house sitter twice and each time we’ve been very happy. Looking forward to the next time. It’s great to know our pets and our home are in both kind and professional care.”

About: I’ve been an animal person all my life and have always cohabitated with cats and dogs—I’ve been told I have good and calming energy with animals that makes them feel comfortable and secure with me. I have direct experience working in the animal care field at a local shelter; I facilitated dog and cat intakes, run dog playgroups & performed behavioral assessments. While managing the kennel, feeding schedules, special care and enrichment activities are important to me! I have direct experience administering vaccines, medication, and completing health assessments from newborn dogs and cats to seniors/palliative care. Gentle hands, warmth and kindness are important to me when handling animals. I take care of my own cats, dogs and chickens each day—working in the shelter environment it was a full time job, caring for animals. I hope to move into a more flexible routine caring for animals that aligns with my lifestyle. I will care for your animals just like how I care for my own. Maintain feeding schedules, exercise needs and balanced play/relax time. I have no problem administering medications and special meals for your pets and meeting their standard of care!
“Malesa stayed with our two chihuahuas for 7 days. She was amazing, she even cooked for them! My puppies didn’t even miss us!! We are so grateful that she stayed with our puppies!”

About: I’ve taken care of hundreds of dogs over the past 2 years, all of different ages and sizes, with different needs. From walking, transporting, playing, supervising playtime, cuddling, cleaning, and assisting those in need, I am capable of doing just about anything you need for your fur baby. (Worked at Greymont kennel services and Chasing Tail Pet Farm, have done pet sitting off of rover, and have owned multiple dogs of different age/size, with different limitations) I have work from 0500-1630 but I’m still available on weekends can still work around those times I just need to be able to make it to work on time!! In your home, your pets comfort and safety are a top priority, as is respecting your space. Your home will always be left as it was found if not better, and your pets won’t be lonely with me around!

“Carol was patient and caring, sitting for our cat while we were away. Cats usually don't require much attention, especially ours. He feels more secure when someone is present rather than left alone, and his behavior shows this. Carol kindly and patiently adjusted to our wishes by spending time at our home to care for him. We very much appreciated her help while we were away.”

“Dana was amazing with my Mabel girl! She’s a lot to handle and she did so good with her, send so many updated and photos & even stayed with her an extra day when my travel plans got cancelled! Definitely will book with her again ❤️”

“Blaise was great! She kept in contact with me and sent me multiple pictures. She followed all instructions for Athena’s care. We are so thankful that Athena was cared for by such a caring person. Athena absolutely loved Blaise!”

“Kelsey was awesome and took such good care of our fir babies while we gone. She was very flexible and great with communication. We will definitely be calling her again when we need a dog sitter again. Thank you Kelsey!!”

“This was our second time having DeAnna stay in our home overnight with our chickens, dog, and guinea pig! She is super responsive and takes such great care of our pets. Plus she leaves the house clean which is always nice coming back from vacation! We will definitely book with her again.”

“Jason really came to the rescue when the dog sitter I had scheduled cancelled days before my trip! The dogs loved him and everything went seamlessly. Highly recommend Jason and will definitely book him again!”

“Thank you, Hannah and Matthew. I appreciate Hannah taking good care of Hank on our trip. His feeding schedule is more complicated than most so we appreciate the care taken to keep his pancreatitis in check. Wishing you two a good Labor day.”

About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for house, farm, and hunting dogs from puppies to senior dogs. Being around so many different types of dogs has taught me how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, exercise, administering basic care, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every dog like my own and always make reliability, attention, and communication a priority. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available from mornings through after dinner for walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, or overnight care. Because of my flexible routine, I’m able to adjust to a pet’s normal schedule and make sure they stay comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I make sure pets stay comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. Safety and trust are very important to me, so I always keep a clean, secure environment and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels relaxed and cared for while they’re away. I also keep owners updated with daily messages and photos so they know their pet is safe and in good hands.
“We feel so fortunate to have had Hannah and Matt take such good care of our pet family this weekend. They are kind, detail oriented, and they checked in daily with lovely updates. They left the house even tidier than we left it, and they were an absolute pleasure to coordinate and communicate with. We will absolutely ask them to house/pet sit for us again soon!”

“Elizabeth watched our pets, 2 dogs and 1 cat, for 4 nights in our home. She was fantastic! Everyone was happy when we got home and she left the house tidy. Our cat, who sleeps with our son regularly and doesn’t sleep with me even when my son is gone, slept with Elizabeth in my room! He’s a little selective about people so I’m impressed that she won him over.”

About: I have experience with many animals including dogs, cats, exotics, and farm animals! I’m an aspiring veterinarian and a part time veterinary assistant at a mixed practice animal hospital. I have hundreds of hours of experience with my local veterinarian, dog walking at my local animal shelter, and pet sitting. I was trained at the Williamson County Animal Center to work with dogs showing early signs of severe behavioral issues. I have experience with wary, unsure dogs who need time to warm up. I have experience with disabled animals including those with spinal injuries, cerebral hypoplasia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, age related problems, and more. I have raised and cared for several puppies, but I also care for many seniors. I have an 11 year old dog myself! I’m currently a commuting college student who has availability before/after school that allows me to take care of pets in the Franklin, TN area in my free time! I am very vigilant when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of the animals in my care. I treat your babies like my own and am quick to alert you if something feels wrong!
“Alexis was fantastic. She stayed with our dogs for a few days. We got great updates. But most importantly, when a series of bad storms swept through our town, she was there to comfort the nervous puppies.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fairview
Tyler did a great job caring for my pets. Communication was excellent. He let me know when he arrived and when he left, and he checked in a couple times each day with photos so I could see how everything was going. One of my dogs (Buck) can be anxious, but Tyler was a calming influence and handled him really well. After we got home, Buck kept going back to the guest bedroom looking for him, which says a lot. Tyler also asked ahead of time if he could cook while he was here, which I appreciated, and he left everything spotless. I would absolutely recommend him and would be happy to have him back.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fairview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fairview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fairview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
