“Matthew did a great job taking care of our dog. He showed up on time, made sure Hank got his walk, and gave him the special care that you would expect from a family member. We highly recommend him.”

“Elizabeth was amazing! Our pups absolutely loved her. She communicated with us daily (usually several times a day), including sending pictures. She was extremely clean and neat. We have had many pet sitters over the years … and Elizabeth is the best we’ve ever had. We hope to be able to book her again on our next trip.”

“Leigh Ann was very pleasant. On our initial meeting she was prompt, friendly and very calming with our excited 10 month old Cavapoo. Each day, Leigh Ann was prompt, followed our wishes with Sadie's schedule and communicated frequently with texts and videos. We highly recommend Leigh Ann.”

About: I have had and taken care of dogs my entire life, I have dog sit since I was very young (around the age of 11) and have always loved dogs and cats. My family has three of our own dogs, all girls, Ruby, Bean, and Rollie. Rollie is a rescue and Bean is her baby, we kept both and they are the best! Ruby is my pup, she is a standard sized Berne doodle, seven years old, and an amazing doggo. I raised on my own since she was a puppy, I trained her and taught her tricks and how to behave, so between her and bean I have experience raising puppy's. Ruby and Rollie are both big dogs so I am used to high energy large pets, I love them! I have also sit for friends and family for many years and love that too! I am happy to sit for all types of dogs and cats! I am a full time college student as well as a full time barista at a local coffee shop, but I am never in class before 9AM and always home from work before 9:30PM, and I will always have time in the middle of the day to come see your pups! I am best suited for doggos that are comfortable being alone for 7 or 8 hours at the max. I will always prioritize the well being of your pets before my own obligations, I would want someone to do the same for my pets! I only offer house sitting, walking, and drop ins as part of my services. In my personal home, I take very good care of my doggies! We rescued a severely anxious Bernese Mountain dog and help her become calmer and feel safe, and now she doesn't have near as much anxiety. I am very used to interacting with dogs, both social and nervous and know how to introduce myself and treat all sorts of doggos.

I have hundreds of hours of experience with my local veterinarian, dog walking at my local animal shelter, and pet sitting. I was trained at the Williamson County Animal Center to work with dogs showing early signs of severe behavioral issues. I have experience with wary, unsure dogs who need time to warm up. I have experience with disabled animals including those with spinal injuries, cerebral hypoplasia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, age related problems, and more. I have raised and cared for several puppies, but I also care for many seniors. I have an 11 year old dog myself! I’m currently a commuting college student who has availability before/after school that allows me to take care of pets in the Franklin, TN area in my free time! I am very vigilant when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of the animals in my care. I treat your babies like my own and am quick to alert you if something feels wrong!

“Jenna was so good with my quirky little guy!! She read all the notes and he warmed up to her really quickly. She also took great care of my place. We would love to book her again!”

“Thank you Dana for doing such a great job with our two dogs and cat. You house sat for us for three nights and four days. The dogs were extremely happy with the way you played ball with them and let our sweet baby Ren sleep in bed with you we went away out of state to our daughters graduation and you made the experience so comfortable by always responding and sending pictures of the babies while we were gone. I can see why you’re booked out for so long. We will definitely use you again in the future if we’re able to get into your busy calendar. But I understand why you’re so busy thank you so much.”

About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for house, farm, and hunting dogs from puppies to senior dogs. Being around so many different types of dogs has taught me how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, exercise, administering basic care, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every dog like my own and always make reliability, attention, and communication a priority. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available from mornings through after dinner for walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, or overnight care. Because of my flexible routine, I’m able to adjust to a pet’s normal schedule and make sure they stay comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I make sure pets stay comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. Safety and trust are very important to me, so I always keep a clean, secure environment and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels relaxed and cared for while they’re away. I also keep owners updated with daily messages and photos so they know their pet is safe and in good hands.
“Antonella did a wonderful job with my baby Bella. I had never left her before and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Antonella. She was great at sending pics and updates. I came home to a happy girl. Definitely will use her again. Thanks so much Antonella!”

“Hannah helped us out last minute and took care of our house and dogs and did such an incredible job. She came for a meet and greet and took detailed notes. She followed all our dog care instructions, and left our house cleaner than she found it. Dogs were very happy when we got home and all the sheets and towels had already been washed and put back. We got lots of great updates. We highly recommend her for pet care, and housesitting!”

“Janine is amazing! We moved to the area a few months ago, and one of my biggest worries has been what to do with our pets when we travel. We have a cat and an anxious dog we've never boarded so I wanted to find a sitter that would stay at our house. Janine was perfect! She has such a calm demeanor and was happy to accomodate anything we asked. While we were gone, she sent tons of pictures of our pets. She gave me complete peace of mind. We will be booking her again!!”

“Blaise was great! She kept in contact with me and sent me multiple pictures. She followed all instructions for Athena’s care. We are so thankful that Athena was cared for by such a caring person. Athena absolutely loved Blaise!”

About: I am friendly, reliable, and honest. I love animals and hope to find some to take care of regularly so I can build a relationship with them and their humans. I watch my kids on weekdays and work evenings and weekends. I am looking for extra ways to supplement my income, and this seems like a “do what you love” situation. I walk my dog, take him out for bathroom breaks, do monthly grooming sessions, change cat litter, and occasionally administer medicine, as needed. I am very comfortable around dogs, cats, and other animals.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leipers Fork walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leipers Fork maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leipers Fork choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
