“Kimberlee is great! We needed a house sitting and she was amazing. Everything was organized and clean at our place. She's responsible, did lots of activities with our dog, snuggled with him, and sent us lots of pictures, videos and updates. We really liked her and would highly recommend! :)”

“Great experience - we will definitely hire her again! She was so thoughtful and patient with our pups who are both high maintenance and have anxiety. She was very reliable and left everything super clean and tidy! Thank you so much Kailyn!!!!”

“Taylor did an amazing job caring for our high-maintenance crew of three dogs and one cat. We definitely are not the "plug and play" typical situation for a pet sitter with all of our dogs on different diets and one needing daily medication for a chronic illness. Taylor rose to the occasion and exceeded our expectations. Our pets were meticulously cared for, loved, and snuggled while we were on vacation for a week. We received daily updates with pics which gave us peace of mind where we could enjoy our trip with no worries. It will be difficult for us to ever use anybody else to stay in our home. Taylor is the best!”

“Torian is the BEST! She is our go-to dog sitter. She does such a great job with our dog, Mandi. She is trustworthy, easy to work with, always leaves our place in a good state, and is very kind.”

“Matthew did a great job taking care of our dog. He showed up on time, made sure Hank got his walk, and gave him the special care that you would expect from a family member. We highly recommend him.”

“Colleen was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, sweet, and communicative throughout the entire stay. She even took the time to meet Tuff and Spud ahead of the sitting, which gave us so much peace of mind before we left. She took amazing care of our boys and our home while we were away. We could tell Tuff and Spud were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We highly recommend Colleen and would absolutely use her services again!”

“Cinamon was great! Super friendly, easy to communicate with and schedule, and took great care of my dog while I was away. I will absolutely be inviting her back to take care of my dog in the future!”

“We feel so fortunate to have had Hannah and Matt take such good care of our pet family this weekend. They are kind, detail oriented, and they checked in daily with lovely updates. They left the house even tidier than we left it, and they were an absolute pleasure to coordinate and communicate with. We will absolutely ask them to house/pet sit for us again soon!”

About: I'm a stay-at-home college student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I've grown up around both dogs and cats and have years of experience caring for them. At home, I currently care for one dog and two cats, so I'm comfortable with daily walks, feeding, basic care, cleaning litter boxes, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'm happy to adjust my care to meet their needs. I'm currently working part-time, but I typically work 1-3 days a week and shifts that are only 4 1/2 hours, so I won't be away for too long. I make sure there is a clean environment for the pets, and I make sure that all pets are taken care of correctly. All pets are different, and I try to meet every pet's needs so how I care for every pet differs with how the pet needs to be taken care of. When it comes to taking care of the house itself, I try to be super neat and leave the house better than I found it.
“Jenna does a great job taking care of our 2 dogs & our cat. She is responsible, & respectable with our requests in taking care of all the details for our babies! And she leaves the house as if she wasn’t even here, everything is how we left it & clean”

“Jacey was great! Watched our 2 month old puppy overnight and she did a wonderful job! Kept us updated with pictures and videos and did everything she was asked to do! She also left my apartment beautiful, you wouldn’t have even known she was there! Will definitely book again! 💕”

“Best person we have ever found to watch our pups. Yunyi gave us timestamped updates every day, sent lots of photos, gave everybody their medication on time, and was overall a wonderful companion for our girls. If you are looking for someone to go above and beyond, Yunyi is your girl! ♥️🙏”

“Bella was fantastic staying the weekend with our two 80lb American Bullies! It was so comforting knowing they were in the comfort of our own home and had someone great staying with them.”

“Leigh Ann was very pleasant. On our initial meeting she was prompt, friendly and very calming with our excited 10 month old Cavapoo. Each day, Leigh Ann was prompt, followed our wishes with Sadie's schedule and communicated frequently with texts and videos. We highly recommend Leigh Ann.”

“Jamie was great! She kept us updated on our dogs and sent pics and I know they were getting lots of love!! She’s extremely communicative and responds quickly! It was a 10/10 experience”

“Caleb was awesome with my dogs and my home. He was clean, took care of everything and walked my dogs regularly. He played with them, sent pics of them and hung out with them! I will definitely use hie again - my dogs were happy when I got home and that's the most important thing!”

“Aerial did an excellent job caring for our girls. She cared for them like they were her own and better yet, like we would/do. I highly recommend Aerial & will rebook in the future!”

Reagan was so wonderful! My dog can is nervous around strangers and is a senior. Reagan was so patient and kind and it made me feel so much more comfortable leaving my pup. Reagan is definitely someone you can count on and she will treat your animal like her own!

Amy was an outstanding sitter for my senior pup! She built trust with him quickly - including with his insulin injections - and I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. Amy was a great communicator, provided wonderful updates, and was a respectful house guest. We look forward to having Amy over again!

Olivia took great care of our pups while we were away and gave us total peace of mind. Communication was excellent and we received updates and photos. On top of that, we came home to a very clean and tidy house, which we truly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Christy was amazing!! I was nervous to leave Batman for a full week, but she did an amazing job keeping me updated with plenty of pictures and videos. I could tell that she was providing him with a lot of enrichment, and that he was happy! She was excellent at communicating any updates and was flexible with her schedule. I cannot recommend her enough!

She collected mail, packages, watered plants, etc. She sent us photos and videos of our pets daily. They really like her. She is very nice and personable.

Taylor spent a long weekend at our house watching our Labrador, who tends to be a little needy. She provided a lot of updates and photos and he seemed happy and relaxed with her. He was very happy and healthy when we got home and our house was the way we left it. Thank you, Taylor!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Franklin on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,586 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Franklin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Franklin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Franklin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Franklin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
