“Aw! Kimberlee loved my pup and took care of him like he was her own! I love how communicative she is- the pics, the updates ???AWESOME! This is my first time to *ever* leave a review for anything! Couldn’t be more pleased! Thanks sweet girl!!”

“Great experience - we will definitely hire her again! She was so thoughtful and patient with our pups who are both high maintenance and have anxiety. She was very reliable and left everything super clean and tidy! Thank you so much Kailyn!!!!”

“Taylor did an amazing job caring for our high-maintenance crew of three dogs and one cat. We definitely are not the "plug and play" typical situation for a pet sitter with all of our dogs on different diets and one needing daily medication for a chronic illness. Taylor rose to the occasion and exceeded our expectations. Our pets were meticulously cared for, loved, and snuggled while we were on vacation for a week. We received daily updates with pics which gave us peace of mind where we could enjoy our trip with no worries. It will be difficult for us to ever use anybody else to stay in our home. Taylor is the best!”

“Ava is wonderful! She’s is spunky & reserved all rolled into one. She watched our cattle dog who is a lot of puppy (high energy & reactive) for a week and didn’t blink after meeting him. She stepped up to the challenge & met every expectation. She was fabulous+ on communication including pictures & videos of our baby blue. We could not rave about her enough! Thank you, Ava! 🩷”

“Cinamon is wonderful! I look forward to having her house sit my fur children any time. I had been boarding my 3 pets because I couldn't find someone I felt comfortable with the to watch them when we traveled. Boarding is stressful and having Cinamon at home with them made our time away so much better. She is thorough, kind & great with pets! thank you Cinamon!”

“Our 2 dogs and senior cat loved having Torian petsit for a few days! She was very responsive, took great care of the house and most importantly she instantly connected with our pets. You can tell she genuinely enjoys animals and is very respectful of their unique personalities and needs.”

“First time the dog had an overnight sitter. Matt did a super job, the dog took to him quickly, never seemed to be anxious. He was a great house guest as well. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again.”

“Hannah helped us out last minute and took care of our house and dogs and did such an incredible job. She came for a meet and greet and took detailed notes. She followed all our dog care instructions, and left our house cleaner than she found it. Dogs were very happy when we got home and all the sheets and towels had already been washed and put back. We got lots of great updates. We highly recommend her for pet care, and housesitting!”

“Leigh Ann was very pleasant. On our initial meeting she was prompt, friendly and very calming with our excited 10 month old Cavapoo. Each day, Leigh Ann was prompt, followed our wishes with Sadie's schedule and communicated frequently with texts and videos. We highly recommend Leigh Ann.”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals throughout my life. I have had a dog and a cat and I’m comfortable around all animals. I have a gentle personality and get along with all pets! I have plenty of time during my weeks to play with pets! I am currently looking for a music industry job in the area and would love to help out the community in the meantime! I am comfortable playing with, caring for, and interacting with all animals. I have a fenced in yard and always love the company of a furry friend.
“Jenna was fantastic! She stayed at our house with our two girls for over a week. She took great care of them with walks and comforted them during the thunderstorms. She gave our older girl medication when needed. She even made sure all of our outdoor plants were watered, especially the tomatoes! Jenna is also a talented artist and she painted a portrait of the girls as a gift which was amazing. Most importantly, she gave us peace of mind while were gone and the girls and our house were exactly as we had left them. We would highly recommend Jenna and will definitely use her again!”

“Malesa stayed with our two chihuahuas for 7 days. She was amazing, she even cooked for them! My puppies didn’t even miss us!! We are so grateful that she stayed with our puppies!”

“Janine is amazing! We moved to the area a few months ago, and one of my biggest worries has been what to do with our pets when we travel. We have a cat and an anxious dog we've never boarded so I wanted to find a sitter that would stay at our house. Janine was perfect! She has such a calm demeanor and was happy to accomodate anything we asked. While we were gone, she sent tons of pictures of our pets. She gave me complete peace of mind. We will be booking her again!!”

“Reagan was so wonderful! My dog can is nervous around strangers and is a senior. Reagan was so patient and kind and it made me feel so much more comfortable leaving my pup. Reagan is definitely someone you can count on and she will treat your animal like her own!”

About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was 13 (walking, feeding, brushing, playing, etc.) and have volunteered at my local animal shelter for three years helping them get adopted. I have also pet-sitted many times for friends and family. I love all pets and would love to meet some more! I am currently on a break from studying at university so I have a lot of free time until late september! I am looking for a part-time job but not one that will take up too much time so that I can still provide my services. I am very experienced in walking dogs (especially in this scolding heat) as well as giving them all their basic needs and attention. I love going on long hikes/walks with dogs if that is ever something that they would like. I have also volunteered with cats and owned one as a child so I am well versed on all their needs! I will make sure all pets as given a lot of affection (if they like that)!

Kimberlee did great with our dogs! She communicated daily with pictures and our dogs seemed so happy when we came home. She also bathed our dogs when they had a run in with a skunk! That was absolutely over and beyond what we expected! Kimberlee gets a hundred stars and we will certainly be calling her again.

Hannah (and her husband Matt) are the best house sitters we’ve ever found! 10/10 recommend. They love our animals like they’re own and our babies are so spoiled! We love the pictures they send and they always leave the home as clean as they found it (including washing their linens!!). We will hire them every time that we travel!

Colleen was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, sweet, and communicative throughout the entire stay. She even took the time to meet Tuff and Spud ahead of the sitting, which gave us so much peace of mind before we left. She took amazing care of our boys and our home while we were away. We could tell Tuff and Spud were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We highly recommend Colleen and would absolutely use her services again!

Reagan was so wonderful! My dog can is nervous around strangers and is a senior. Reagan was so patient and kind and it made me feel so much more comfortable leaving my pup. Reagan is definitely someone you can count on and she will treat your animal like her own!

Amy was an outstanding sitter for my senior pup! She built trust with him quickly - including with his insulin injections - and I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. Amy was a great communicator, provided wonderful updates, and was a respectful house guest. We look forward to having Amy over again!

Olivia took great care of our pups while we were away and gave us total peace of mind. Communication was excellent and we received updates and photos. On top of that, we came home to a very clean and tidy house, which we truly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Christy was amazing!! I was nervous to leave Batman for a full week, but she did an amazing job keeping me updated with plenty of pictures and videos. I could tell that she was providing him with a lot of enrichment, and that he was happy! She was excellent at communicating any updates and was flexible with her schedule. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hannah did an excellent job taking care of our 2 dogs and cat while we were away for a week. She stayed in our home and did everything we asked of her. She collected mail, packages, watered plants, etc. She sent us photos and videos of our pets daily. They really like her. She is very nice and personable.

Taylor spent a long weekend at our house watching our Labrador, who tends to be a little needy. She provided a lot of updates and photos and he seemed happy and relaxed with her. He was very happy and healthy when we got home and our house was the way we left it. Thank you, Taylor!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Franklin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Franklin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Franklin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
