Leah has done housesitting for our 50-pound, high-energy dog several times now, and we love having her every time! It's clear she cares about him from the photos and videos she sends, and he has gotten very comfortable with Leah as well, resulting in less stress when we get home! She also leaves our home in fantastic shape every time she stays as well. This trip, we had to ask her some followup questions after we returned as well, and she was responsive and helpful then as well. We definitely recommend Leah!

We loved Susie ❤️ She did a great job ! She stayed with our 7 month old puppy, Milo. Our 1st time leaving him with someone. She played, loved on and kept Milo comfortable and not so stressed while we were away on vacation. Also, she took lots of great photos of Milo, sending us lots of photos and keeping us well informed on how he was doing. We had a great vacation knowing that he was being well cared for here at home. We will definitely use Susie again!

Jenna was fantastic! She stayed at our house with our two girls for over a week. She took great care of them with walks and comforted them during the thunderstorms. She gave our older girl medication when needed. She even made sure all of our outdoor plants were watered, especially the tomatoes! Jenna is also a talented artist and she painted a portrait of the girls as a gift which was amazing. Most importantly, she gave us peace of mind while were gone and the girls and our house were exactly as we had left them. We would highly recommend Jenna and will definitely use her again!

Stephen did a fantastic job. I have a seriously hard to feed 5 pound poodle. Stephen was able to win him over and keep him fed. He sent us updates via text every day. Even on his hard to feed days, Stephen did everything he could. He was great at following our written care plan. And, he was a courteous house guest. We look forward to having Stephen stay with our little guy again

We had Elizabeth house sit and look after our 2 pups while we were out of town for an event for a few days. We also have some chickens in the back yard that required minimal attention but Elizabeth was so kind to look over them as well. She went above and beyond to make sure the pups were happy and comfortable and followed instructions that we left. If we ever need someone to look over them again. I hope we’ll be able to book with Elizabeth.

Finding a trustworthy and caring dog sitter can be difficult, but my experience with this one was absolutely outstanding. From the very first meeting, it was clear that they genuinely love animals and treat every dog as if it were their own.

About: I have over 11 years of paid and volunteered hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including my own animals and those I’ve fostered through rescue organizations. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life but over the past 11 years I have volunteered at various animal shelters and provided the services offered on Rover through word-of-mouth and other platforms/websites! I have experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages—from newborns to seniors—and pets with medical conditions, special needs, and behavioral challenges. I also have experience with birds, rabbits, and some reptiles. My family owns a farm so I have experience providing care for farm animals as well! What sets me apart is my ability to quickly assess and adapt to each pet’s unique personality and requirements. I’m especially patient and attentive with nervous or reactive animals, and I’m experienced in administering medications, maintaining structured routines, and creating calm, secure environments for animals in transition. AND I just might take the cutest/funniest candid photos of your pet that you’ve ever seen. Check out my photo gallery of cute fur babies I’ve loved on! Fostering has also given me valuable experience with socialization, basic training, post-surgery care, and working with pets recovering from trauma or neglect. I genuinely love building trust with animals and helping them feel safe, which is something pet owners consistently appreciate when they leave their companions in my care. PSA: I just had a dog grooming area/dog spa added into my guest house! I can groom your sweet girl/boy while they’re in my care. (See picture #8 for a peek at the doggy grooming station!) *meet and greets strongly suggested, especially if you A) have a pet with extreme anxiety, behavioral issues, or unknown reactions to being left in the care of a new person. B) live in an apartment complex—mainly if you’ve been told your complex is difficult to navigate. I don’t think it’s fair for your pet to have half their first visit spent by me trying to find your apartment. C) you have specific and potentially unique preferences for your pet’s care. I love detailed instructions, actually I prefer this. I would love to get a feel for and see what this will look like during the visit though. **If you’re unhappy with my service, please tell me! I don’t get offended easily—and that doesn’t even matter when I’m caring for your babies— and would love to adjust the services to meet your needs OR provide a refund ***Boarding and day care information if you have a medium to giant size dog, pets who don’t react well to cats, and/or you prefer a yard and large quantities of exercise during the booking: My family owns a farm 10 minutes from my apartment. I stay there often and help care for the farm animals. If you have pets that require lots of exercise and/or you prefer a yard—I am able to stay there with your pets rather than board them at my apartment. This is honestly preferable for any dog over 15 lbs or dogs who become activated around other dogs, mainly because my complex is heavily populated by dog owners and we will encounter other dogs each time we go outside. So, just know I can still board larger and/or reactive dogs, along with dogs requiring extra exercise. ____________ More about me (if you’re curious): -Outside of pet care I am a licensed social worker (non-practicing at the moment) and a part time esthetician student. My social work career mostly includes providing individual or group mental health therapy, and case management for individuals experiencing homelessness, previously incarcerated, and/or with mental health and substance use disorders. As you can probably imagine, shifting towards Rover and esthetician school has been a major change! -During my free time I love working out—Pilates, barre, & running/walking. I’m relatively athletic so I can provide exercise tailored to each pet’s needs. With pets whose owners would prefer more exercise, I am able to provide more fast paced exercise, such as speed walking or jogging. And you’ll never have to worry if your dog happens to be a larger dog and/or pulls on the leash. Been there, done that, and got the t shirt! -I’m very big on volunteer work since I am not currently practicing social work. I have a very nurturing side, and while I’m so excited to become an esthetician, I would love to still be engaged in service of others. Right now I am developing an outline for a “pay what you can” farm-to-table service using the products of my family’s farm. Also in progress is an incorporation of my skincare, beauty, and wellness services into a larger ministry that serves survivors of trafficking, addiction, and/or DV. -During my free time I also enjoy binging thrillers and crime dramas during my free time. I’ve been getting into true crime podcasts. So yes, I’ll most likely be listening to Dateline while driving to our meet and greet at your house when I’ve never met you before. As if I need to be any more nervous about that part of this job! Happy to do it though. I love this job. But if you do happen to want to meet at a dog park or coffee place, I won’t object! - I’m a Nashville native and the oldest of four kids in my family. I’m a bit of an extroverted introvert. I enjoy my alone time and being home as much as possible but if you bring me around social situations I could talk to just about anyone about anything. - I have a kitten and an adult kitty that live with me full time, and a senior (family) dog that lives with me a few months out of the year when my parents snowbird in Florida. I accept bookings for any time or day unless I have appointments or another commitment. This is my only job. I travel occasionally and those dates will be added in advance on my calendar. Starting in late February 2026 I will be in school part time during the week (M-W 5:30pm-9:30pm & Thurs 5:30pm-10pm). I am also willing to provide services as early as 5am in the morning and as late as 11pm at night. When caring for pets, safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow all instructions from the owner, including dietary needs, medications, walking preferences, and any behavioral considerations. I have gained a good amount of experience over the last few years in the area of taking care of senior pets and pre-adoption pets. My pup, Pasco, is currently receiving medications and palliative care, so I have personally experience in this area. Before adopting my kitten, Ocean, I recently fostered three pre-adopted kittens that needed bottle-feeding and gentle help with passing stool. I make sure the home environment is pet-proofed—keeping hazards like wires, cleaning products, and choking risks out of reach. I also monitor pets closely for any signs of distress, illness, or unusual behavior and will notify the owner immediately if anything seems off. Building trust with both the pet and their owner is equally important. I take time to get to know each animal’s temperament, routines, and comfort zones so they feel safe and secure in my presence. Whether in my home or theirs, I maintain a calm, structured environment, offer plenty of positive attention, and create a consistent routine that pets can rely on. For in-home services, I’m respectful of the client’s space—leaving things clean and secure, and keeping communication open with daily updates, photos, and check-ins so the owner feels confident their pet is in good hands.

This was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family or friends. Leah was great for our senior dog. She sent me pics and updates which I appreciated. Our dog was happy to see us when we git home but also seemed no different than she normally does with family or friends. I know she was well taken care of. The house looked pretty much the same as I left it! We’ll definitely be booking Leah again.
