About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals throughout my life. I have had a dog and a cat and I’m comfortable around all animals. I have a gentle personality and get along with all pets! I have plenty of time during my weeks to play with pets! I am currently looking for a music industry job in the area and would love to help out the community in the meantime! About: I’ve had pets in my life for as long as I can remember. My first childhood pet was a sweet dachshund named Greta. In my adulthood, I have been caring for my own pets for the past 26 years. We love to have our dogs Bertie and Chester near us wherever we are, indoors and outdoors. More recently, we have welcomed two incredible cats, Belle and Zesty, into our family as well. In my experience, having pets truly makes life better. I would welcome spending time with your pet, whether in your home or out on a walk, and would care for them as I would one of the pets in my own family. I am comfortable caring for active pets as well as seniors who are moving a little slower these days. I am taking some sabbatical time away from my full-time profession, so I have lots of time and energy available to care for your furry friends (as well as my own dogs and cats). You can depend on me being detail-oriented and conscientious; I will stick closely to the instructions you share with me about how best to provide for your pet’s needs while you are away (as regards schedule for feeding, cat litter box tending, dogs being taken outside, medications to administer, and so on). About: I have been a lifelong dog owner, caring for multiple breeds including dachshunds, chocolate lab, beagle mixes, Doberman, Rhodesian ridgeback mix, and mini schnauzer. About: I have dog-sat on multiple occasions for various neighbors and acquaintances up to 4-5 days at a time. Some of these requiring me to spend multiple hours playing with the dogs at a time and administering medicine to them. I have had four dogs of my own throughout my life so I know how to clean up messes and problem solve. I have also had to take care of dogs in every stage of life for this reason too. I have volunteered at the local rescue shelter near my college in which I would take dogs for a good chunk of the day to socialize and play with. I am still currently on the hunt for a part-time job, but that means as of right now I have a pretty open schedule to take care of pets! I can organize my day around what is needed. I can do all that is requested to keep pets safe in the home, and if needed can think on my feet for whatever situations may arise. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was about 15, either house sitting, walking, or drop ins. I have experience with all animal behaviors and am comfortable with most. I am available any time; I don’t have a traditional job anymore. About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 7 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company! Walking and playing with them keeps me active and in my beloved nature. It is a great joy to give people peace of mind while they travel, knowing their home and furbabies are in good hands. I know how stressful it can be - I was born in the Northeast and then moved to Nashville when I was 12 so my mom and I would drive up there to visit family, but we would often bring our dog and cats with us on that 13 hr ride because we didn’t have anyone we trusted to watch them. It’s a great time, unless it’s a family emergency. Now, I get to be that person for other people! My clients relaxing, knowing that they can have fun or do what needs doing and that their fur babies are taken care of at home - that is priceless and never gets old.
