About: I had a pet-sitting service for 15 years, and then I started caring for dogs in my home through Dog Vacay. About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I know how stressful it can be - I was born in the Northeast and then moved to Nashville when I was 12 so my mom and I would drive up there to visit family, but we would often bring our dog and cats with us on that 13 hr ride because we didn’t have anyone we trusted to watch them. It’s a great time, unless it’s a family emergency. Now, I get to be that person for other people! My clients relaxing, knowing that they can have fun or do what needs doing and that their fur babies are taken care of at home - that is priceless and never gets old. I will make sure they receive the best care possible! I'm a night owl myself when I'm home but whatever their routine is, I will stick to that as much as I can. About: I’ve taken care of hundreds of dogs over the past 2 years, all of different ages and sizes, with different needs. From walking, transporting, playing, supervising playtime, cuddling, cleaning, and assisting those in need, I am capable of doing just about anything you need for your fur baby. I do have to walk or be driven by my mother since I don't have a license and or car because I have epilepsy and hydrocephalus. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
