About: I had a pet-sitting service for 15 years, and then I started caring for dogs in my home through Dog Vacay. I took a break to care for my ailing mother and then I became a Nanny to a newborn boy. He is now 4 years old and my services are no longer needed. I am also a missionary to Uganda. I've been helping with a woman's ministry since 2016, I can not be idle, so I'm reactivating my Rover profile so that I can care for dogs in my home, or care for cats and dogs in your home. When I care for dogs in my home, they are treated as family. No crates, just cuddles. I am retiring as a Nanny and I am reactivating my Rover account. I can take care of your pups in my home while you are away. No crates, just cuddles. I'm also available to come to your home to care for your pets, whether for daily walks or around-the-clock care. I care for cats as well as dogs. While I am in your home, I will also bring in your mail/packages, water your plants, and bring in or take out your trash bins. I have a fenced-in yard area. I will never leave your pups in the yard alone. I always sit with them. I can take them for daily walks as well. I don't use crates/kennels in my home. Your pet will be treated as my two Maltese dogs are.

About: I have been a lifelong dog owner, caring for multiple breeds including dachshunds, chocolate lab, beagle mixes, Doberman, Rhodesian ridgeback mix, and mini schnauzer. I have hands-on experience providing end-of-life care for a senior dog with osteosarcoma, demonstrating compassion and patience in difficult situations. Currently, I care for a 5-year-old neutered Doberman and an 8-year-old spayed Mini Schnauzer. My work-from-home schedule allows me a flexible schedule for your pet’s supervision. Since I work from home, taking care of dogs fits perfectly into my day. I’m able to check in on them frequently and give them plenty of breaks and playtime. I make sure they get regular exercise and lots of affection between work tasks. Because I’m home almost 24/7, I can easily adjust my schedule to fit each dog’s unique needs and routines, making sure they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while their owners are away. I ensure that all dogs are treated with love and respect. Letting them know they’re safe and that everything is okay while their humans are away is of utmost importance to me.

About: I have been pet sitting for friends and family for the entirety of my life, as well as have six months of experience working in a pet boarding kennel at Sprayberry Animal Hospital. I make your pet(s) my highest priority, as I can take breaks from whatever I am doing at any given time to take care of them whenever needed. I am a frequent walker, as I really enjoy cardio and getting my steps in every day! Every pet is different and has varying needs. I always try to be respectful of clients' homes and treat it as my own, feed and give water to the pet as needed, give them plenty of attention, take them on many walks, and other various needs such as medication, etc.

About: I'm a big dog person, and I frequently take care of my family's dog while they're away. While I was in college, I often dog-sat for a family friend, staying in their home and taking care of their pet. I'm home for the summer before heading to graduate school, and would love to spend some time with animals! This summer, I am home for a while with completely open days. I'm happy to take on summer holidays or help with mid-day walks, etc. I love to let animals spend their time outside in a safe way, either with a fence or on a leash. I'm also happy to hang out indoors if the dog prefers, and ensure everything is taken care of!

About: I have taken care of animals most of my life i am new the Rover community but I do have kennel technician experience and dog bather experience along with drop by visits. I do have to walk or be driven by my mother since I don't have a license and or car because I have epilepsy and hydrocephalus. Despite my disabilities I am a very hard worker and always make sure the fur babies are safe and taken care of. I do have four dogs and a cat also. I have been around all sorts of dogs and or cats along with other animals so I don't scare easily and I am very patient with them. If you are willing to take a chance on me I will not let you down I wake up and take care of my five dogs as soon as I get up. Two of them take meds and I give it to them if my grandma doesn't do it for her two Goldens I let them outside feed them give them water give them their medicine and make sure they are taken care of. About: I love animals, I have since as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in an animal household so understanding animals, communicating with them, and tending to them has become second nature. I have pet sat and helped handle animals at the Nashville Zoo as a volunteer during my high school years and have watched over friends, family, and neighbors animals for around a decade now. I know how important family is and how pets are family that just so happens to walk on four legs for all of their lives instead of just their infant years. I am currently on staff at my church right now as outreach and ministry team so my times I am unavailable are Tuesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's after 5:00pm. I go to church on Sunday mornings but I can always watch virtually so I can tend to pets overnight. I care for animals as I would care for myself I believe in all life is precious and that any life created is family to me which most certainly includes pets. My approach comes from being gentle, reacting/reading body language, minding my emotions and actions because animals are sensitive to those, and just showering them with love the way THEY want to receive it not how I want to give it. It is their comfort and wellbeing over mine and I will do everything in my power to ensure a healthy environment for everybody's animals.

About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 7 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company! Walking and playing with them keeps me active and in my beloved nature. It is a great joy to give people peace of mind while they travel, knowing their home and furbabies are in good hands. I know how stressful it can be - I was born in the Northeast and then moved to Nashville when I was 12 so my mom and I would drive up there to visit family, but we would often bring our dog and cats with us on that 13 hr ride because we didn’t have anyone we trusted to watch them. It’s a great time, unless it’s a family emergency. Now, I get to be that person for other people! My clients relaxing, knowing that they can have fun or do what needs doing and that their fur babies are taken care of at home - that is priceless and never gets old.
