About: I had a pet-sitting service for 15 years, and then I started caring for dogs in my home through Dog Vacay. I took a break to care for my ailing mother and then I became a Nanny to a newborn boy. He is now 4 years old and my services are no longer needed. I am also a missionary to Uganda. I've been helping with a woman's ministry since 2016, I can not be idle, so I'm reactivating my Rover profile so that I can care for dogs in my home, or care for cats and dogs in your home. When I care for dogs in my home, they are treated as family. No crates, just cuddles. I am retiring as a Nanny and I am reactivating my Rover account. I can take care of your pups in my home while you are away. No crates, just cuddles. I'm also available to come to your home to care for your pets, whether for daily walks or around-the-clock care. I care for cats as well as dogs. While I am in your home, I will also bring in your mail/packages, water your plants, and bring in or take out your trash bins. I have a fenced-in yard area. I will never leave your pups in the yard alone. I always sit with them. I can take them for daily walks as well. I don't use crates/kennels in my home. Your pet will be treated as my two Maltese dogs are.

About: I have been a lifelong dog owner, caring for multiple breeds including dachshunds, chocolate lab, beagle mixes, Doberman, Rhodesian ridgeback mix, and mini schnauzer. About: I love animals, I have since as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in an animal household so understanding animals, communicating with them, and tending to them has become second nature. I have pet sat and helped handle animals at the Nashville Zoo as a volunteer during my high school years and have watched over friends, family, and neighbors animals for around a decade now. About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 7 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company!
