“This was the first time I have used a dog sitter instead of boarding my dog through a facility or leaving him with a family member. I just moved to Nashville and was very displeased with the local boarding facilities, and resorted to dog vacay. I was a little nervous at first, but Karri was great! She was very easy to get in touch with (text or call), had a very nice house and big back yard, and has a very warm spirit. I felt like I was dropping my dog off at my parents house for the weekend. She sent me texts daily with pictures of my pup to reassure me that he was being loved on and cared for. About: Have had pets most of my life. Had a Boston Terrier that walked 5+ miles a day. Have walked friends Boxers, doxies, Scottish Terriers and a coonhound mix. I work from home and have flexibility. If there’s a set time that your dog is used to walking, I will do my best to stick to their routine. We will need to discuss your pets habits & how/if I can be a fit for their habits. Typically will walk 30 minutes or let out back, clean up after them & let them back inside. And if crated, place them back in their crate.

About: I have extensive experience with pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, breeds, types, colors, and temperaments. I have owned dogs, cats, turtles, frogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a lizard. (I once had a pet worm in an animal cracker box. I thought he would like living in a little zoo.) For 7 years I took care of my disabled mom as well as 5 dogs and 2 cats. During that time, I also worked as a foster volunteer for Music City Pug Rescue–most of which were geriatric surrenders whose owners had passed away or moved into a nursing facility. While I questioned my own sanity at the time, looking back now, those were some of the very best days of my life! Today I only have one dog, Marley, (my lucky charm rescue–a Tibetan Terrier who was just hours away from euthanasia when I saw his picture online) and I am renting my home. So while I can't board your pets, I am happy to take care of them at their own home! Sadly I have lost pets to terrible chronic illnesses like cancer and diabetes. I've been through two torn ACL surgeries, one hip surgery, blindness, deafness, and incontinence. My current pup, little Marley, has been paralyzed twice. The first time, I was able to afford an expensive back surgery. But when it happened again six months post-op, I rehabilitated him myself. Now, 6 years later, he's still walking! I thank God every morning and night for giving me another day with him. My experience caring for all of these dogs and their health problems means that I know how to care for their special needs. Whether it's taking a dog to weekly chemo treatments or giving him two shots of insulin each day, I am capable of caring for your pets and promise to do so just like they are my own. About: I’v taken care of dogs since I was old enough to be responsible for them, around age 12. I was in charge of feeding our family dogs, walking them, and exercising them through intentional playtime. We had 3 dogs then, and now we own two. I am self employed and have a great degree of flexibility on work location. I can spend time with your pets and schedule my work around your pet’s needs. I will meet with you in-person prior to booking so that I can meet you and your pets and take detailed notes about needs and expectations during my stay.

About: I have been caring for dogs my entire life, and growing up my father was a dog trainer so have lots of experience in dog care and training. I also worked in veterinary medicine for 6 years and have lots of veterinary knowledge. I worked in an emergency clinic for over a year and would be able to handle any emergency that could occur. I also have experience with puppies and with senior/special needs animal care. I have pets of my own and always love taking them on walks and would love to be able to do that for other peoples pets as well. I have a very open schedule as long as I know in advance. I am free most days and have very open availability through the day. I always try and learn what the pet(s) are used to and attempt to emulate that. Pets can be protective in their home so I always try and make them as comfortable as possible.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all ages and abilities! Currently I have a three-year old dog and a six-year old blind cat. Previously lived in a home with a dog groomer and assisted her from time to time. I’m currently between jobs, so I’ll have all morning and the early afternoons to take care of walking your dogs! This is also my way of keeping active! I believe in a positive reinforcement approach to handling pets. My dog is clicker-trained. The first thing my dog and cat learned were emergency recall because pet safety comes first!
About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was a teenager. I grew up around dogs, and cats. I love being with animals. I was always the one that my family or friends called when they needed someone to walk, feed or bathe their pets when out of town or stuck at work longer than expected. I currently have 3 large dogs, a female German Shepard mix, a male brindled mutt,a yr old male German Shepard. I also have 2 very chatty orange tabby cats. All of which are rescues. I’m currently working part time from home, so I have all the time to care for your pets! I am free to house sit, take your pups for a walk during the day or even just pop in to check in on them. Nothing is as nice as being able snuggle with your furry ones. I want to be able to help you by taking care of your pets as if they were my own. Be assured they will get all the pets and snuggles while you are gone. I will follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible. If the pets are use to sleeping the room with you, I do not mind staying in the room with them if you prefer, otherwise the guest room is perfectly fine.

Safety and trust are very important to me, so I always keep a clean, secure environment and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels relaxed and cared for while they’re away. I also keep owners updated with daily messages and photos so they know their pet is safe and in good hands.
About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 9 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company! Walking and playing with them keeps me active and in my beloved nature. It is a great joy to give people peace of mind while they travel, knowing their home and furbabies are in good hands. I know how stressful it can be - I was born in the Northeast and then moved to Nashville when I was 12 so my mom and I would drive up there to visit family, but we would often bring our dog and cats with us on that 13 hr ride because we didn’t have anyone we trusted to watch them. It’s a great time, unless it’s a family emergency. Now, I get to be that person for other people! My clients relaxing, knowing that they can have fun or do what needs doing and that their fur babies are taken care of at home - that is priceless and never gets old. If you have 3 or more pets, I'm happy to give a discount. I know how hard it can be trying to find care for them when you have many. Feel free to reach out! Pets are family. I will make sure they receive the best care possible! I'm a night owl myself when I'm home but whatever their routine is, I will stick to that as much as I can. For dogs, walks are included in housesitting if you want that. And any plant and garden care etc. Totally depends on your and your pet's needs. I'm so excited to look after your fur baby!

About: I’m a homeowner with a huge fenced in backyard. I WFH so potty breaks and play time is not a problem. I have a 70lb golden retriever who loves to play. I take my own dog for a minimum of two walks a day. Most days I get out three or four times. I have a huge fenced in backyard for in between walks. I have a very sweet 5 year old golden who loves other dogs. I have experimented caring for super young all the way to end of life care for senior dogs.
