“Hilda has been an absolute lifesaver during my recovery from knee surgery. She's come by 2 or 3 times a day to walk Nyx. Nyx is always excited to see her and comes back from her walks happy and tired! I'll definitely be using Hilda's services again.”

“Erin is so patient and kind to our pups! This is saying a lot because one of our dogs has some trauma and it takes time to earn her trust. Erin walked our three dogs once a day while we were gone. She was also super flexible on days we thought they might need another walk in the evening. We will definitely be using her on when we go on our next trip!”

“Lily was phenomenal!! She not only responded to my request I sent at an ungodly hour due to a family emergency but also was beyond accommodating!!! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help with their fur baby. Such a sweetheart 🥰”

About: I've cared for dogs of all ages and personalities from energetic puppies who need patience, training reinforcement, and lots of playtime to senior dogs who require a gentle approach, medication reminders, and extra comfort. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I take the time to learn their routine so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I've had the privilege of raising two wonderful dogs. One is still happily by my side, and my other sweet companion recently crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 16. Caring for a senior dog for so many years taught me the importance of patience, compassion, recognizing subtle changes in behavior, and providing the extra attention older pets need to stay comfortable and happy. My experience includes feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, administering oral medications when needed, and providing plenty of affection and companionship. I'm attentive to each dog's individual needs, prioritize safety at all times, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pup needs to burn off energy, stick to a consistent routine, or simply enjoy a calm, relaxing environment, I'm committed to providing dependable, personalized care. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, capable hands. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. Because I'm home most of the time, your dog will receive plenty of supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship instead of being left alone for long periods. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'm happy to follow their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether you need weekday, evening, weekend, or last-minute care, I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule while giving your furry family member the love and attention they deserve. My home has a secure, fenced in yard where dogs can safely play and explore. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll keep you updated with photos and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away.
About: With over a decade of animal experience, was a Lead Veterinary Technician in urgent care and surgery, combined with a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M, I offer a level of clinical expertise. My career has been dedicated to the health, safety, and emotional well-being of animals. Beyond my medical background, I am a former service dog trainer specializing in training future service dog puppies (from 3 months and older) for veterans with physical disabilities and PTSD. As a devoted pet owner myself to two dogs and two cats, I treat every client's home and pet with the same loving care that I give my own multi-animal household. If your pet has complex medical needs, chronic illness, or is recovering from surgery, you can travel with absolute peace of mind. I am highly proficient in senior and hospice care, managing oncology (cancer) patients, and caring for pets with thyroid issues or strict weight-loss goals. My clinical skills include: Advanced Medication Administration - Fluent in administering medications via Subcutaneous (SQ) injections, Intravenous (IV), oral, topical, intranasal, and rectal routes. Specialized Therapies - Experienced with diabetic patients (insulin management) and administering SQ fluid therapy. Special Needs Care - Fully equipped to handle incontinent pets, paralyzed animals, and strict post-operative crating or mobility protocols. I’m currently not working, so I have open availability. I have a flexible schedule and timing to accommodate any needs your pet may have. Comfortable with dogs, cats, and any small exotics that may be in the home. Early mornings, during the day, and evenings are open for care. I have a 6ft wooden fenced backyard, 2 dog-savvy cats, and 2 friendly, large dogs that love to play and hang out. Thor and Donte, the oldest cat and dog in the house, respectively, have very chill energy and will play whenever they’re feeling the zoomies. The greyhound and kitten are always curious and looking for a playmate. I love to be outside in nature and often will take my own pets on walks and trails around the neighborhood. My sphinx kitten even loves to be leashed to explore quiet areas. Love to hike and even have experience with SUP (stand-up paddleboard) with pets, both cats and dogs in life vests. Will make sure your fur baby is comfortable, exercised, and loved!
“Jackson is always on time and does a great job reading Bentleys walking moods. ( my little guy is a moody old dog). I’m so glad we found someone so kind to help us care for Bentley.”

“Shelby did a fantastic job walking our girl, Billa. She came by twice a day for a couple of days and always let me know when she would be going and how it went. She’s friendly, professional and reliable. We will definitely use Shelby again.”

About: My name is Ashley. I am 21 and a graduate from Texas Tech University. I am preparing for graduate school, so I am spending my free-time gaining some professional experience with pet-sitting. I have lifetime experience with family animals including dogs of various breeds. I would love the opportunity to help you take care of your animals! I’m currently able to abide by any schedule necessary as I have not current engagements set, but I may leave for short periods of time to visit with friends and family. Safety of pets is of my highest priority, ensuring your pets stay in the safe, healthy, and comfortable environment that you have made for them.
About: Hi there! I’m Lani, and my mom, Trayce, and I have been providing pet boarding, walking, and house/dog sitting services for nearly five years now but a lifetime of pet ownership. Both my mom and I are trained in pet CPR, so your pet will always be in safe hands, even in case of an emergency. Trayce, who is retired, handles overnight stays and will care for both your home and your pets during her stay. Our overnight pricing includes care for 1-2 animals, and we may be able to offer discounts, so please check with me before booking with someone else! Trayce also gives your doggo training while he/she is staying for a single day of daycare or multiple days. If your best friend already knows basic commands and manners or needs a little work Trayce will work with you to improve and maintain commands and manners sometimes goes along. It’s just like learning a foreign lang if you don’t use it you loose it. That’s why we stay in training mode 70-75% of the time. The dogs thrive and want to learn. Your dog is rewarded with treats and LOVE! We do not accept intact dogs of either sex. I’m retired, so taking care of both our dogs and yours is my top priority from morning until night. The only times your pets would be left alone are if I need to pick up my granddaughter from 3:30-4:15 PM or run a quick errand. I don’t go out much or for long, so your pets will rarely be left on their own. We have a fenced yard. We also had pet quality turf installed so they have a specified area to potty. We had a special sand added so the turf doesn’t burn their pads in the summer heat. I even added an area where they could lay under for shade but they don’t. They go poop there. 😂 Basically your baby will be our baby too! Thanks again for the referrals and continued trust with your babies!
“Kimberly is amazing. She loves on my dog as if it were her own and even makes sure my cat gets some loving as well. She is wonderful and I would highly recommend her. Having someone I can trust with my baby is a hige stress relief.”

About: For as long as I can remember, nothing has made me happier than spending time with furry friends of all kinds, so I know how important it is for an animal to trust anyone who comes into its life, even if only for a short time. I am comfortable and confident taking care of both cats and dogs, and I have been the proud owner of both. I am an excellent communicator and am capable of following instructions regarding any specific needs your animals may have. During the regular school year, I am a full-time college student who has breaks in the day to check in on furry friends. During the summer, caring for animals is my main priority, and I have the most time to do so. There are no notable times in my average week when I am consistently unavailable. I always make sure to have thorough conversations with pet owners about how they prefer things to be situated in their living space regarding the care of their furry friend. Any instructions left by pet owners are always followed closely.
About: I genuinely love animals and I take pride in how I care for them. I have taken care of animals for years. I had a dog growing up and another in college! I love to play fetch, go for walks, take naps, and relax at home! It’s important to me that your fur baby receive the appropriate amount of cuddles each day. I’m prepared to love your animal as if they were my own from the day they enter my care until the day they leave. There will be plenty of treats and lots of love! I currently work from home during the week, so I my schedule is pretty flexible during the day. So I am available, ready, and have plenty of time to take care of and love on your fur babies! I want the fur babies and their owners to feel comfortable while in my care, so I try to stay as consistent with the rules and training that the pet parents have in their own homes.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carrollton
Hilda has been wonderful! She takes great care of my puppy and always sends thoughtful updates after each visit, which gives me peace of mind. She’s also incredibly responsive and accommodating, even when I need to make a last minute booking. She’s been super helpful, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her!

Paige, was great with Arlo, it’s easy to tell that she has a great love for Dogs. Arlo was very quick to make Paige one of his favorite people. Based on observing her in action I can tell she has a lot of experience walking and training dogs. I would highly recommend Paige to take care of your dog. My challenge is to keep Arlo from wanting to go home with her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
