“This was our first time leaving our fairly energetic Westin terrier/poodle mix, Mila with someone other than a family member. Kaylan did a wonderful job, sending multiple pictures every day of their outings. In a week they were at Fiesta island 3 or 4 times, which requires a bath after each visit due to Mila’s digging, rolling in the sand and dirt, etc. Kaylan also took her to the dog park, restaurants and many neighborhood walks. About: Hello I’m Nancy! I’m a recent college graduate from UCSD who would prefer more animal friends than humans. I joined Rover to meet more local furry neighbors and help out pet owners. I’m a hamster owner myself, but I have plenty of house sitting experience for dogs and cats since 2021. Owners that book recurring visits often see their pets are excited to see me again. I’m honored to be your sitter — your pet will get all of my love and affection and you will receive lots of (goofy) photos to prove that. Cat owners extremely benefit from me, as I have a younger sister who also helps out whenever I am cat sitting. Your cat will understand what it is like to be a celebrity between the two of us since we are big cat lovers! My work schedule is Thursday-Mon 11pm-7:30am. I typically don’t sleep until a couple hours later (10-11am) and I wake up around 3-4pm. So my schedule can align well with pets that are familiar with a typical 9-5 schedule. I rarely travel so my schedule can accommodate pets under short notice. Before you entrust me with the care of your friend, I’d love to know more about them. Ideally, I’d love to schedule a meet and greet beforehand so they get used to me and so we both know more about each other. It is important to me that I meet you and your pet’s expectations. I’d love to know all the quirks and traits of your pet.

“Vivian was amazing with our 2 big dogs. She did a drop in visit the week before coming to watch our girls for 4 days. While on our trip we got lots of photos and updates and after the first text we knew the girls were having fun. When we got home, I noticed how silky their coats were from all the brushings they got while Vivian was here. They were happy to see us, but they still go to check out the room where Vivian was sleeping to see if maybe she’s still here. It’s unanimous that we will be using her to sit again.”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with six years of experience. I volunteered at the SPCA of Monterey County for 124 hours and currently work at a local Animal Center in San Diego. I am comfortable with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and energy levels. I treat every pup like my own family, ensuring that they get plenty of love, exercise, and attention while you are away. I currently work at an animal shelter/center. I work 8 hour shifts 4 days of the week (days vary). The other days I spend taking dog & house sitting jobs or babysitting jobs. During the days I am at the animal shelter I leave the house at 10am and return at 7pm. On days I am not at the shelter I stay at the house with your pup and the maximum time I’d be away is 3 hours a day (unless told otherwise by owner). Dogs will get daily walks, meals, and meds (if needed) as instructed by their owner. I try to include the dogs in my daily activities. For example, choosing to sit with them while I reply to work emails or answer work calls.
