A natural dog magnet!
At my previous living complex, I ran daily playtime for the neighborhood dogs, and the second I stepped onto the sidewalk, they'd sprint to the edge of the grass before my own dogs even got there! I'm known as "Dr. Wendy" for the massages I love giving during playtime, especially to the older pups. I'm pre-med student and currently applying to medical school. With my pre med background, I am comfortable administering both oral and injected medications, so pet parents with dogs on prescriptions or managing chronic conditions can leave with total peace of mind. I also have hands-on experience with senior and special needs dogs, including pets that need extra bathroom breaks, mobility support, or a more attentive overnight routine.Whether it's a playful puppy still learning the ropes or a senior dog who needs a little extra TLC, I treat every pet like my own. I've been an animal lover since 2014 and turned it into a full-time passion for pet care in 2024. Since then I've built my brand - Wendy the Dog Magnet.I'm licensed and insured for pet care services and working towards to completing other certifications.

My approach is rooted in consistency and close attention to each pet's individual needs and routine. For puppies still working on potty training, I follow the same method I used raising my own boys: start with a small, contained area, keep a consistent feeding schedule, and track every bathroom break (number 1 and number 2) so I can learn their pattern quickly. Once a pup is cleared by their vet for outdoor walks, I transition them from potty pads to outside breaks at that same consistent schedule — my own dogs were fully house trained using this method by 8-10 months. For adult and senior dogs, I stick closely to whatever routine the family already has in place — feeding times, walk schedules, medication needs — so there's minimal disruption while their people are away. Whether I'm in my home or a client's home, my priority is keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on a schedule they can count on.

Wendy was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She stayed at our home for about 10 days while we were on vacation, caring for both our house and our dog, Basil. Basil has some separation anxiety, so we were understandably a little nervous about leaving her. Wendy immediately put us at ease. She sent daily updates and photos of our baby girl, and it was so reassuring to see Basil happy, relaxed, and clearly bonding with her. Wendy is a true natural with dogs. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and loving with Basil, and we came home to a happy, healthy, and very well-cared-for pup. She also took wonderful care of our home—bringing in our mail, watering and looking after our garden, and leaving everything in fantastic condition. It’s clear she treats your home and pets with the same care and respect that she would her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Wendy without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dependable pet sitter. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again in the future. She’s the best!
Wendy was an amazing Rover sitter! She took wonderful care of our dog, Sandi, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated with regular photos and thoughtful messages, which made it easy to see that Sandi was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Wendy also took excellent care of our home, leaving everything clean and in great condition. We truly appreciated her professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. I hardly know where to begin in reviewing Wendy. A few sentences could never fully express how exceptional she is. Before my trip, I was very worried about leaving my dog, Gidget. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes and requires insulin injections twice a day. I honestly wondered if I would ever feel comfortable traveling again with her special healthcare needs. Wendy went far above and beyond anything I could have expected. She took the time to learn how to properly give Gidget her insulin injections and made sure they were administered on schedule every day. But her care didn’t stop there. While I was away, Wendy treated both my home and my dog as if they were her own. She brought my trash cans in and out when she noticed the neighborhood schedule, kept my home spotless, and sent multiple photos and updates every single day. She took Gidget on walks, gave her plenty of love and attention, and made sure she was happy and comfortable. When I returned home after nine days, my house was immaculate, and Gidget was clearly happy, healthy, and well cared for. In fact, I’m not entirely sure Gidget wanted me back! She absolutely adored having Wendy there. If you have a special-needs pet, or simply want complete peace of mind knowing that both your home and your beloved pet are in caring, capable hands, look no further than Wendy. She is trustworthy, compassionate, responsible, and truly one of a kind. I will absolutely be using Wendy again and again. She is an absolute gem, and I am so grateful to have found someone who allows me to travel without worrying about Gidget. I honestly cannot imagine a better pet sitter.

Schedule
Pet sitting is my main focus right now, so I have the flexibility to make it a priority every day — whether that's daily drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays. I structure my days around my clients' schedules first, then fit in MCAT studying and my ongoing job search around those visits. That means I'm not squeezing pet care into leftover time — it gets my full attention and reliability, whether it's a quick midday potty break or an extended overnight.

- Since I thrive off of a consistent schedule, I'd love to receive a document outlining your pet's daily routine ahead of time — feeding times, walk times, nap schedule, etc. — so I can keep things as consistent as possible while you're away. Beyond the schedule, it's also helpful to know about any allergies, triggers, and behavioral "antics" that make your pet unique — things like reactive barking, snoring at night, or a favorite spot they like to sleep in. Knowing your pet's favorite toys ahead of time is also a big help, so I can make sure they have their comfort items close by. The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and more comfortable the experience will be for your pet.
