As a current owner of two cats, and a previous owner of 4 dogs of various sizes, and other small animals, I understand the importance of monitoring their behavior to help them feel at home and reduce any anxiety while you are away. I will follow closely any instructions that you provide, and observe them as if they were my own pet.

It is important that I understand your pet’s needs before hand, especially for an extended stay. I would love to take the time to speak with you, and make sure I have written instructions so that I can make sure I complete all of your pet’s needs.
A typical day
First, I would follow all needed instructions to make sure appropriate care for your pets is performed. I will also help your pets in any play time or exercise needs, so I make sure appropriate time is spent in playing and walking. If the animal takes some time to warm up to me, I’ll also give them the space to get used to me. If they like to play fetch, tug of war, or chase, I can’t wait to run around with them! Then, once they are a bit calmer, and ready for a slow down, they can take meal time, and get ready for bed.

I have been caring for animals of all sorts since age 10. I’ve taken care of neighbors, family and friends cats, dogs, hamster, goats and more over the years. I have a speciality in senior cats in dogs, and understand the patience and gentle hand that’s needed in giving them successful meals, walks and playtime. I can’t wait to meet your pet, and help them feel safe and calm while you are away!

This is our first time using rover and Sam made it a positive experience from the time i contacted her and through the meet and great and the entire sit. We had to adjust our start time couple of times but she was very flexible with that, we really appreciate her for understanding. The Sit went very smooth as well, we got all the updates even before we asking with pictures :) Snow was very well taken care of, we could tell that once we reached home since he was not anxious at all. Overall Sam is great and we will be in touch soon for our next vacations :)

Samantha was extremely helpful with my dog and 2 cats. When it game to a meet and greet Samantha was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to ensure she didn’t miss anything. She was super consistent with timing, and had great communication, send pictures daily. She is someone I trust in my home.
Samantha was great with my pup! She went above and beyond for my first time using Rover she really eased my mind! She is super respectful and attentive! Great communication Thank you again Sam!
