Hi, I’m Valerie! I’ve had pets my entire life as well as over 8 years of professional experience working in the animal industry (as a pet groomer, pet boarding kennel tech, and PETCO small animal & aquatics specialist). I have experience caring for most species, including pets with medical needs, special diets, anxiety, senior care needs, and specific routines. I currently work with children as a Speech Therapist in a Montessori school, and provide pet care during summer breaks. Since I am on break, I will be home and available all day for your pets! My husband and I are childless and live in a cozy, quiet house in Rancho Penasquitos. I can help with feeding, walking, drop-ins, boarding/sitting services, medication administration, litter care, playtime, companionship, and keeping your pet's routine consistent while you’re away. Any additional needs, just let me know! I am happy to accommodate you and your pet in any way.

I recommend having Valerie come and watch your pups. She was very friendly, responsive, responsible and professional from the minute we started communicating. She sent me pics & texts while we were on vacation to keep me updated and reassured the dogs were in good hands. I will definitely contact her again in the future.
Valerie was just amazing! I had to be out of town for 5 days for a memorial service. Pups couldn't go. Valerie came and met them and played with them here at the house. She took great care of everything. I got lots of pictures of smiling, happy puppies during my trip. I would definitely book with her again.
Valerie took care of my two dogs for ten days. She did an awesome job. My dogs were very well taken care of. She is very responsible. I highly recommend her.
Valerie has a strong passion for all animals. I was a coworker with her at Petco, and she would go out of her way to make sure all the animals were properly taken care of, and probably cared more for the sick animals more than anyone else. She also has 2 cats who have been raised by a responsible and loving owner.
Valerie is not only experienced but with that experience comes compassion, empathy, and security of mind knowing she will be working with your animals. Valerie has worked in a dog boarding facility so she has the knowledge of specialized diets and giving medications to animals. Throughout the years of knowing Valerie I have not seen another human being be so gently and loving with not only her own animals or mine, but just seeing animals whether that be a dog walking with its owner, or pets in a pet store. You can see the care and admiration in her eyes. Valerie also has experience working with special needs dogs, she cares for a chihuahua mix that has a neurological condition and Valerie still goes out of her way to make sure the dog has all of its basic needs met, but as well as enrichment whether that’s going outside for a picnic so the dog can sun bath and eat some grass and coming up with ways to make the dog more comfortable then I think anyone else could dream of. Give Valerie a chance and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!!

I am a Speech-Language Therapist currently working with children in a Montessori school. I am off on Summers, so I offer pet care services during this time. Since I am on break, I will be home and available all day for your pets! My husband and I are childless and live in a cozy, quiet house in Rancho Penasquitos with our senior cat Meeka.

I follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to keep them calm, safe, and comfortable. I watch for changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, hiding, or other signs of stress. I’m respectful of each client’s home and careful with doors, gates, feeding instructions, medications, and home security. Please let me know any specific safety concerns so I can care for your pet properly.

A typical day
A typical day depends on your pet’s routine and personality. I can provide walks, playtime, potty breaks, meals, fresh water, treats if approved, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to follow your usual routes and routines, keeping things exciting or calm and low-key for cats, seniors, shy pets, and other animals who prefer a quieter visit.
