About: I love pets! I have experience house/dog sitting for clients that have taken vacations of up to 15 days. While house sitting, I can also bring in mail and water plants. In the past, I have been able to watch up to 2 dogs at a time. I love the exercise that comes from walking dogs, and I welcome dogs that have both high and low energy levels. When given specific instructions about caring for someone's dog, I always follow them, never letting my previous experience and "what I usually do" come before meeting the expectations of my clients. I have lived with at least one dog as a pet for 18 years of my life. Let me take care of your dog and be an extension of your love towards them when you cannot be there. I have graduate school classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, but I am free for pet care outside of those hours. I am flexible to work around your schedule. Vanessa was incredible and took great care of our nervous dog while we were away for 10 days. Our initial dog sitter fell through the day before we were going to leave, and she responded immediately to our initial message and was over to meet him and us within two hours. He is a recent rescue and very nervous with strangers, but she introduced herself to him with great care, understanding, and professionalism. I was very anxious about leaving him, especially with such a last-minute change in our plans, but after meeting her, I felt completely reassured that he would be in great hands, which he was! She sent multiple updates with pictures a day, and our sweet boy looked like he was having the time of his life going on walks and sniffing all the flowers and grass he wanted. We greatly appreciate that she respected his boundaries and let him warm up to her on his own timeline. She also left our house spotless. My dog loved Alexis, he just stared at the front door when she left. Guess he didn’t miss us as such as I missed him. He had lots of walk and MANY treats. From all the pics he looked very chill. Can’t say enough good things about Alexis and the care she gave my dog.
