She paid attention to Stark’s personality, routines, favorite activities, and even his moods. By the end of the stay he had apparently become a “country dog,” joined family movie night, made himself at home with the other pups, and spent his days running around outside living his absolute best life. The communication was exceptional. We never once had to wonder how he was doing because Angie constantly kept us updated with thoughtful check ins and genuinely funny commentary. You can tell she truly loves dogs and enjoys caring for them, which makes a massive difference. She even bathed and dried him before pickup after all of his outdoor adventures. About: I am a lifelong pet owner and animal lover with over 25 years of caregiving experience. I have had dogs almost continuously since kindergarten ranging in size from a 5 lb poodle mix (Trooper) to a 95 lb yellow lab (Nala), in addition to 3 years as a parent to 2 cats, Jules and Gemini. Jules was with us only briefly due to her advanced age when she was adopted, while Gemini is a much younger kitten who wasted no time claiming my home as her own. I also recently lost my 10 year old corgi (Sadie) unexpectedly to an extremely aggressive form of cancer, and so would love the opportunity to spend some therapeutic time with your furry kid. Prior to beginning work through Rover, I have several years of experience caring for cats and dogs for a variety of friends, family, and neighbors including everything from drop-in visits and dog walking to full-time house/petsitting. Outside of my petsitting duties, I am a PhD chemist working hard to make the battery in your phone last longer and your electric car drive further. My wife and I moved to the Silver Spring area in 2024 for her job as a television producer and I am in the process of establishing myself in the DMV research community. Availability: Except in special cases, I am available for booking at any time of day, any day of the week. I am happy to provide everything from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays. I ensure your home stays perfectly clean and secure while providing constant love, supervision, and companionship to your furry family member. I offer basic dog bathing, blow-drying, and brushing. I am not a professional groomer, but I can do simple machine trims/shaves only if you provide the clippers and equipment. I do not do complex or professional scissor styling. Standard rate is for a basic bath; extra trim services can be adjusted before booking
About: Dogs have been my roommates my whole life (living with two now!) I’ve mastered belly rubs, early walks, and the worst… the occasional bombastic side-eye. About: I've taken care of dogs/lived with them from a young age. I feel comfortable around a variety of dogs and I enjoy those with high energy, lap gos, and everything in between! I have experience dog sitting for my aunt's 10 year old pitbull Blu, over the years. I'm comfortable with drop in visits, walks, park, etc. Whatever your dog needs, I'm your girl! From May 12–17, we received nonstop updates, photos, videos, and hilarious messages that made it obvious he was being treated like part of their family. Every single day we could see how relaxed, loved, entertained, and completely at home he was. What impressed us most was how personal and attentive Angie was. She paid attention to Stark’s personality, routines, favorite activities, and even his moods. By the end of the stay he had apparently become a “country dog,” joined family movie night, made himself at home with the other pups, and spent his days running around outside living his absolute best life. The communication was exceptional. We never once had to wonder how he was doing because Angie constantly kept us updated with thoughtful check ins and genuinely funny commentary. You can tell she truly loves dogs and enjoys caring for them, which makes a massive difference. She even bathed and dried him before pickup after all of his outdoor adventures. That level of care and consideration says everything. Finding someone trustworthy is important. Finding someone who loves your dog like their own is rare. Angie is that person.
