Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, as I own a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix. I prioritize walks, playtime, training, and enrichment to keep her active and happy, and I provide every pet with the same level of attention, patience, and love. Whether I’m providing walks, drop-in visits, or house sitting, I carefully plan my schedule to ensure each pet receives personalized, dependable care. I also offer overnight house sitting for weekend and short stays, with extended overnight stays available on a case-by-case basis for dogs that are comfortable with my friendly well-trained German Shepherd mix accompanying me overnight.

Safety and trust are at the core of my care. I strive to create a calm, structured, and secure experience for every pet I work with. While I do not offer boarding in my home, I provide high-quality care directly in clients’ homes, allowing pets to remain comfortable in their familiar environment. I maintain each pet’s routine, prioritize their safety and well-being, and provide regular photo and text updates so you always feel connected and informed while you’re away. I’m also trained in dog first aid, adding an extra layer of preparedness in the event of an emergency. During walks and drop-in visits, I make sure pets receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, and individual attention. With the owner’s permission, I enjoy taking dogs to local parks, open fields, and other dog-friendly areas for fresh air and mental stimulation. For house-sitting bookings, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Overnight care is available for weekend and short stays, while extended overnight stays may be available on a case-by-case basis if your dog is comfortable with my well-trained German Shepherd mix, Nahla, accompanying me overnight.

To provide the best possible care, I’d love to know a little about your pet before we get started: • Personality & Temperament: Are they shy, outgoing, playful, energetic, or more laid-back? • Daily Routine: Feeding schedule, potty routine, walk preferences, bedtime habits, and any favorite activities. • Medical Needs: Medications, allergies, health conditions, or anything I should monitor while caring for them. • Behavior & Training: Any commands they know, leash manners, behavioral quirks, fears, or triggers, and how they interact with other people and animals. • Likes & Dislikes: Favorite toys, treats, activities, comfort items, or anything that helps them feel relaxed, or anything they’d rather avoid. • Emergency Information: Your preferred emergency contact, veterinarian, and any important instructions in case of an emergency. The more I know about your pet, the better I can provide personalized care that keeps them safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible, for both you and your pet!
A typical day
A typical day with me is filled with fun, personalized care, and plenty of attention! I tailor each day to your pet’s unique routine, personality, and energy level. Mornings often begin with a walk, potty break, or play session, followed by meals (if scheduled), fresh water, and lots of love. Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy walks, enrichment activities, playtime, training reinforcement (if desired), or simply relaxing together, whatever makes your pet happiest and most comfortable. For house-sitting clients, I strive to keep your pet’s daily routine as consistent as possible, helping them feel safe and at ease while you’re away. Whether your pet loves outdoor adventures, a game of fetch, long walks, or curling up on the couch for quiet companionship, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. I also send regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

Dogs bring so much joy, and it’s my passion to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and well cared for while you’re away. With a lifetime of experience caring for dogs, including my own 4 year old German Shepherd mix, and helping family, neighbors and friends with their pets, I understand just how special every dog is. At Anchored Tails Pet Care, my goal is to treat every pup like family by providing plenty of exercise, love, and attention. I’m trained in dog first aid and experienced with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. I can also assist with administering medications or meeting other specific needs your dog may have. To give every furry friend the best care possible, I’m currently taking advanced dog care courses to expand my expertise. My dog loved Alexis, he just stared at the front door when she left. Guess he didn’t miss us as such as I missed him. He had lots of walk and MANY treats. From all the pics he looked very chill. Can’t say enough good things about Alexis and the care she gave my dog.
Alexis is great with our dog who requires special feedings and medication. Ellie is always happy to see her and loves the attention.
