“Izzy was a complete delight to work with! I booked her to house sit and care for our 3 dogs for a long weekend and she was extremely reliable, professional, and responsible. She went above and beyond her duty to care for our dogs and we returned to 3 happy pups and an immaculate house! We will certainly be requesting her services again and again!”

“Katherine was amazing with my girls!! She was able to do a meet and greet before our booking and ever since was very responsive and kept me update all the time. At the time of her stay she was very respectful of our home, and took amazing care of my dogs. Definitely will book again!!”

“Corinne was great with my three cats. Two of them are very affectionate and need a lot of love. The third is really shy. Cornnie spent a lot of time with the needy ones and had calm energy for the shy one. My shy cat actually ended up headbutting her by the end of the week and he has never done that with a sitter before! We will be booking with Cornnie again.”

“Tyasia was great. She was quick to respond and easy to book. Kaci had a blast with her and I know this because he slept a lot the next day lol. I will definitely be booking again.”

“Madeline was absolutely phenomenal; super communicative, sent me updates of how things were going, and friendly. Most importantly, my dog was well taken care of and had a great time. Madeline truly went above and beyond in every way possible.”

“Liz was a phenomenal sitter. We loved her warmth and kindness. Our baby gravitated to her right away. Liz made us feel comfortable which allowed us to go away a feel extremely comfortable. She communicated throughout the entire time and ensured us that everything was going smoothly. We hope to work with Liz again!”

“Lakshmi was an amazing Rover find, and I appreciated her every step of the way. She was willing to visit my home first and then welcomed me to her home so I could make sure I felt completely comfortable before booking. Throughout the stay, she sent frequent updates and photos of my dogs happily playing both inside her home and outside in her fenced-in backyard, including with her own big and little dogs—a setup very similar to mine. I never worried about whether they were safe, comfortable or having a good time. She even managed to teach my almost one-year-old standard poodle to stop constantly harassing his much smaller Pekingese brother to play! I came home to a noticeably more peaceful house, and Lakshmi gave me helpful tips for maintaining that progress. Her lovely home sits on a corner lot with a sizable yard where the dogs could get plenty of exercise. She also already had crates available, so I did not need to bring my own, and she provided pickup and drop-off, which made everything incredibly easy. I now refer to Lakshmi as my dogs’ honorary grandmother, and I am so grateful I found her. She clearly understands dogs, and I will absolutely book her again when I travel for work or pleasure. I highly recommend her!”

“Justin did a wonderful job caring for Queen and Isaiah! He sent daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. The dogs looked happy, relaxed, and completely comfortable snuggling with him—their favorite activity. We returned home to two happy pets and would gladly book Justin again. Highly recommend!”

“Zoe was fantastic! I’m always worried about Prince when I leave, and have not had the best experience with overnight Rovers staying at my house ie keeping it clean etc. and Zoe was nothing short of a dream. She kept me updated, sent me so many pictures of Prince, was patient with him because he can be super energetic and let me know if he accidentally ate anything. I came back and my house was just how I left it. Hopefully she is available for my week long trip at the end of July because I will be booking again!”

About: As a teacher, I am organized, dependable, and attentive to details. I have experience caring for cats and walking dogs, and I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their pets are safe and well cared for while they're away. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, providing updates, and maintaining a pet's normal routine. As a teacher, I am used to maintaining a consistent schedule and following routines. During the summer, I have increased flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. During the school year, I am available before and after work, evenings, weekends, and for overnight house-sitting arrangements. I work to maintain a pet's normal routine and provide dependable care while their owners are away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and home is important. I carefully follow care instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if applicable), and household routines. I provide updates and photos when requested and strive to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their usual routine. I treat every home with respect and prioritize the safety and well-being of each pet in my care.
“Mya did a wonderful job. She was so sweet with my dog Olive and gave me daily updates. I am always worried about leaving Olive with a sitter but Nya but me fully at ease. She was also very respectful of my space and was great about communicating.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the real-world experience I bring from living and working with dogs every day. I’ve raised and trained a variety of breeds, including high-drive working dogs like Dobermans and a Donovan Pinscher, and I currently share my home with three dogs and a cat. My dogs are actively involved in dog sports. Giving me a strong foundation in obedience, structure, and engagement. I understand how to meet each dog where they are—whether it’s a playful puppy needing boundaries or a senior dog requiring calm, attentive care. I take a thoughtful, balanced approach with every dog I care for, focusing on clear communication, calm energy, and consistency. My experience allows me to confidently handle dogs with different needs and personalities, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being. Whether you’re looking for someone to reinforce good habits, provide mental stimulation, or simply give your pet a safe, peaceful break from home, I offer more than basic care—I bring a lifestyle built around respect, trust, and a genuine love for animals. Pet care fits naturally into my work schedule because it’s already a central part of my daily life and routine. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s something I’ve built my lifestyle around. With experience raising and training multiple dogs, including high-drive working breeds, I’m used to managing feeding times, structured exercise, training sessions, and downtime throughout the day. My schedule is intentionally designed to support the physical and emotional needs of the animals in my care, allowing me to provide reliable, consistent attention without it ever feeling rushed or secondary. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, structured environment. In my home, I maintain clear routines, supervise all interactions, and ensure every animal has their own space and comfort. When in your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, respect their space, and provide consistent, attentive care. I read body language carefully, move at your pet’s pace, and focus on building trust through calm, confident handling. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority, no matter the setting.
“Connie did an outstanding job looking after our cat Gemini. She made an advance visit to our home to meet Gemini before we left, followed all care instructions to the letter, and provided frequent detailed photo updates throughout her stay. She is certainly our top choice for any of our future pet care needs and we will be recommending her very highly to friends!”

“Yolanda did a fantastic job with my dog. He is 14 years old and has special needs. He has a seizure disorder ,chronic recurrent bladder infections, Liver disease and many other medical issues. Yolanda did a fantastic job keeping up with all of his pills and all of his walks!! She was very communicative with me and patient with the very very detailed instructions that I gave her for his care. I went away for almost 7 days which I am usually very uncomfortable doing but because of her regular communication with me. asking thoughtful questions and her close attention to detail, I felt completely at ease and was not worried for my dogs safety like I often am with some sitters. She is very reliable and has Integrity. You will be making a great choice by choosing Yolanda!!!!”
“Shanae is easily one of the best sitters we have used in a while - we used to have a go-to sitter that moved away for grad school and went through a few additional sitters without much luck on a good fit, but we're incredibly happy to have found Shanae. She took care of our dog as her own, took her on even longer walks than we regularly do, sent pictures, and our dog seemed so happy and relaxed when we got home, when in the past she has seemed more relieved than happy. We're sure Abby looks forward to seeing her again!”

“I'm so glad that Majdoline was able to watch my dog and house-sit over the weekend. She was very quick to respond to any messages and gave several updates throughout the day with a ton of pictures, I never had to worry about a thing. She spent lots of time both giving my dog attention and letting her run around and play in the yard. She left everything in the house very neat and clean as well. I would absolutely ask her to pet-sit for me again!”

About: I have been raised around dogs all my life. My dad bred bigger dogs like cane corsos & i breed french bulldogs. The love for animals, especially pups, should be unconditional, just as theirs is to us!! I train pups as well, notably walking my pup around without a leash when in safe environments. I love any pet that comes into my care! I am self employed as well as an experienced dog breeder. I love pets, cherrish them, & treat them like my children! I spend all day with my pup & take her everywhere. I am self employed from home. I have different arrangements for client preferences including food options, crate options being a cage or a flexi kennel, and a gated area to safely allow the pups to enjoy being pups!
“Lisa was amazing! Our Zoey is grumpy with new people but warmed right up to her! 10/10 would recommend to anybody. She was professional and communicated clearly with us. She even made sure to send pictures for my boys of the dogs' presents from Santa!”

Would absolutely recommend Tristen to dogsit in your home! Tristen was very patient with learning about my pup's quirks and made me feel comfortable that his needs would be met while we were away. Tristen was an excellent communicator throughout and we got some wonderful update pictures of our dog that are frameworthy! My dog was loving life. Tristen also took care of our plants as requested. Much appreciated. Thank you so much Tristen.

Lauren was amazing!! I hate leaving my dog at home when we go on vacation as we both get a bit of separation anxiety when we leave each other. Plus my dog has a few quirks about him which Lauren was able to navigate with ease. Lauren was why I was able to enjoy myself on my trip. She was terrific at communicating throughout the day, followed up with me before her visit to confirm details, and sent adorable photos where I could tell he was getting comfortable. She left our house clean and tidy and we will have no questions on who we are booking next time we go away!

Madeline did an OUTSTANDING job watching our 2 dogs ( A Collie & A Sheltie) in our home 24/7 for an entire week. No accidents on the floors & lots of great photos of the dogs sent to us each day ! The boys clearly loved their time with her & we will definitely book her again for our next summer vacation. She was also able to successfully administer pet medication & special dog food to one of our dogs in our absence. I would give her the highest recommendation possible for anyone interested in a top quality pet-sitter !

I wish I could give Yasmine a million stars! She is so attentive. When one of our dogs was having tummy issues, she offered to make her a plain meal to help. She is so responsive and sends so many pictures and updates. We were so nervous leaving our babies but she is a pro. 100% recommend her and we will be using her again in the future!

Took phenomenal care of our three pups. Jessica paid close attention to them and even bathed them when they seemed especially itchy. She sent lots of pictures and was extremely communicative! She responded quickly to any queries we had and made sure we were 100% comfortable with her. Please, book her to care for your animals she is an excellent person you can trust.

Kathryn was amazing with my two pups! It was my first time using Rover, and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was very communicative, trustworthy, and took excellent care of my dogs while I was on a trip. Will be asking for her help again in the near future!

Macaiah provided excellent care for our two dogs during the Thanksgiving holiday. We received regular updates, and pictures. Our fur babies were treated with lots of TLC, healthy walks, play , treats when appropriate and relaxing music. She is awesome and I would definitely invite her to take care of them again!

Vanessa is a very reliable pet sitter and a great communicator. She sent us pictures and videos of our pups, which we greatly appreciated. Our dogs were well cared for. Vanessa followed our directions, and asked us to clarify when unsure. We felt comfortable leaving our home and dogs in her care. Highly recommend!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Carriage Hill on Rover is $96.3 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 11,049 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Carriage Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carriage Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carriage Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carriage Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carriage Hill. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
