About: I’m a retired Army officer and lifelong animal lover. I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life, and I truly believe pets are family. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, and stress‑free experience while you’re away. 🐾 What I Offer Personalized care for dogs and cats of all ages. A calm, structured, and affectionate environment. Daily updates, photos, and communication you can count on. Flexible scheduling (advance notice appreciated) but can arrange last minute pet care if available. Complimentary bath for dogs staying 7+ days. 🏡 My Home & Experience I currently live with two rescue dogs I adopted while living in Africa, along with Swiss — my daughter's energetic, one‑eyed rescue cat who visits regularly. They’ve taught me patience, intuition, and how to understand different personalities and needs. My experience comes from decades of hands‑on care rather than formal training. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, comfort level, and quirks so they feel completely at home. ❤️ Why Pets Love Staying With Me I treat every animal like my own — with attention, affection, and respect. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or laid‑back, I’ll make sure they feel safe, understood, and loved. I’d be honored to care for your furry family member. I'm currently retired and my schedule is flexible. Specific pet routines can be added to the care I will provide and ensuring pets can have a mirrored schedule of what they owner provides them daily. I have a fenced yard that has been pet-proof in order to have a safe pet environment. I take time to individually introduce my pets to others, making it a non-stressful experience.
“Bria was a life-saver! Had to cancel another Rover last minute and Bria came to the rescue. My pup came back to me very happy and very tired and Bria did a great job keeping me informed with pics throughout the stay. Will definitely use her again!”

“Lakshme was awesome! Rhea had an amazing experience. We couldn't have the regular meet & Greet, her and I sat and chatted. Till rhea was comfortable. In that little time Lakshme convinced me she was going to do a fanatic job. From the 10 to 15 minutes spent with her, you can see her love for animals and her experience for caring for them. I will be using Lakshme every time.”

About: I’m a recent college graduate with 10 years of pet care experience and a genuine love for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles. I have the most experience caring for large breed dogs such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Labradoodle mixes, and I’m confident handling strong, high-energy pets. I also enjoy caring for small dogs and cats and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. My schedule is flexible, I’m able to now dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I enjoy keeping animals active, engaged, and comfortable throughout the day with walks, playtime, attention, and companionship. As a recent college graduate, I’m able to provide dependable care and make sure your pet gets the attention and exercise they need while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I prefer creating a calm, loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and part of the family. I don’t like keeping animals caged unless it’s necessary or part of their normal routine, and I always respect each pet’s individual needs and personality. I make time for exercise, play, and affection so pets can burn energy, stay happy, and feel secure while in my care.
“They are awesome! My pup feels so at home with them. She is excited when she arrives and still excited when she leaves. She's with other pups when she is there and it has done wonders for her socialization, as well as helping her sleep through the night. Jody and Rodney are the best. I feel happy knowing my puppy is happy, safe and in a loving environment while my husband and I are at work.”

“I had a great experience with Theresa and would definitely book again! Theresa was so accommodating with my anxious/leash reactive dog and he had a great time with her two pups!”

About: Hi there! My name is Jacqueline and I have spent the past 13 years loving on my own 2 dogs Oliver & Annie until they crossed the rainbow bridge. Before that, I dogsat for friends and professors while I was in grad school. Before my 4-year-old daughter I are ready to welcome another four-legged family member into our hearts and home, I’m happy to pour that doggie love into your pup while you work or travel! We’re both excited to take this step, and I will always be supervising if she is being a helper :) She is, however, afraid of dogs she thinks look like “wolves” (e.g., shepherds, huskies, etc.) and we’re only able to take dogs up to 50-60lbs at this time. I currently work from home most of the week. At most, I’m in the office for up to 3 hours a couple mornings per month. That means I have a flexible schedule to spend time with your pup. I can take your dog on walks throughout the day and there’s a fenced dog park my neighborhood where we can play fetch off-leash!
“Cal and Kelly are just amazing. They provided a warm and welcoming environment that Toby just loved. They are very friendly and provide great photos so I knew that Toby was doing great! Definitely a star team!”

“I'm one of Sharon's repeat customers and she has watched my 3 year old for a long time now. My dog has stayed overnight with her a whole week and also for daycare. Sharon is extreme reliable and trustworthy. She takes care of my dog as if it were hers. I truly appreciate you Sharon!”

About: I have hands-on experience with puppies, senior dogs, and special needs pets, so I know how to adapt my care to fit each dog’s personality and routine. Whether it’s gentle playtime for a shy rescue, consistent potty training for a new puppy, or medication and mobility support for an older dog, I provide care that’s patient, reliable, and full of heart. I also focus on clear communication — you’ll always get updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands. Your dog’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities — because they deserve nothing less! ❤️🐶 Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — it’s not just a job, it’s my passion! I plan my days around the pets I care for, making sure each dog gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m an early riser, so morning walks, breakfast, and playtime are always part of my routine. Throughout the day, I schedule regular potty breaks, feeding times, and check-ins to match each dog’s normal schedule. In the evenings, I love relaxing walks or quiet cuddle time before bedtime. Whether it’s daily drop-ins, extended stays, or weekend walks, I keep my calendar flexible to meet your dog’s needs and your schedule. Your pet’s comfort and consistency come first — I make sure their routine stays as close as possible to what they’re used to at home. 🐾 Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, my goal is always the same — to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. When caring for pets in my home: I create a calm, cozy environment that feels like a home away from home. I follow your dog’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and bedtime, so they feel secure and settled. There’s always plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision — and I never leave pets unattended for long. I also make sure the space is clean, secure, and free of hazards. When caring for pets in your home: I treat your home and your pets with the same respect I would my own. I keep their routines consistent, from feeding and walking to any medication or special care instructions. I’m mindful of your home’s rules, keep things tidy, and make sure everything is just as you left it. You’ll get regular updates and photos, so you always know how your furry friend is doing. No matter where I’m caring for your pet, they’ll get the same love, attention, and comfort they’d receive if you were there. ❤️🐶🐾

About: What Sets Me Apart I offer more than just a standard check-in or walk—I bring a lifetime of genuine animal love combined with specialized, hands-on experience to ensure your pets are safe, happy, and completely understood. Here is what makes my care unique: Senior & Special Needs Expertise: I have a deep understanding of senior pet care. Whether it’s managing medication schedules, recognizing subtle signs of discomfort, or just providing the extra patience and gentle pacing that older pets deserve, your senior companions are in incredibly safe hands. Puppy Training & Energy Management: Navigating the puppy phase requires consistent structure. I love working with young dogs to reinforce basic training, maintain potty routines, and channel all that amazing puppy energy into positive, healthy habits. Multi-Pet & Diverse Species Experience: My home is a sanctuary for all kinds of animals. From handling high-energy dogs and independent cats to caring for unique exotic pets like geckos, I understand the distinct body language and routine requirements of a truly diverse range of species. When your pets are with me, they aren't just being watched—they are being treated with the same deep respect, attentiveness, and family-level care that I give to my own. Pet care isn't just a side task for me—it’s seamlessly woven into the fabric of my daily and weekly structure. Because my routine centers around a flexible, home-based schedule, I am able to provide the consistent, attentive, and highly reliable care that pets thrive on. Here is how I integrate dedicated pet care into my routine: A Natural Part of My Day: Managing a busy, active household means I am already completely dialed into strict daily routines. Feeding schedules, fresh water refills, and multiple potty breaks are second nature to me and easily sync with your pet's specific internal clock. Built-in Movement and Fresh Air: I value keeping active and getting outside. Daily walks and high-energy playtime aren't chores—they are highlights of my schedule that allow me to give your dog the exercise, mental stimulation, and neighborhood exploration they need. Meticulous Environmental Care: Just as I maintain high standards for my own surroundings, keeping a spotless pet environment is part of my regular weekly rhythm. Daily litter box scooping, deep-cleaning food bowls, and organizing pet areas are deeply embedded in my normal cleaning habits. Evenings and Weekends for Quality Time: When the daytime rush winds down, my evenings and weekends are dedicated to winding down, too. This is when I love providing the quiet companionship, gentle grooming, and couch cuddles that keep pets feeling safe, loved, and part of the family while you're away. Because my life is set up to balance multiple priorities smoothly, your pet receives structured, dependable care without me ever having to rush their routine. Care in My Home (Boarding & Daycare) When pets stay with me, they aren't kept in isolation—they become part of a structured, lively, and highly attentive household. Seamless Integration: I run my daily business from home, which means your pet enjoys constant human presence and supervision. They are integrated right into our daily rhythm of work, play, and relaxation. A Sanctuary for All Personalities: My home is designed to accommodate different comfort levels. If your dog loves a pack environment, they will have plenty of company. If they prefer a quiet corner to decompress, I have dedicated, cozy spaces where they can rest undisturbed. A Safe, Social Environment: With experienced resident pets of my own, I am highly skilled at managing animal dynamics. Introductions are always handled slowly and safely, ensuring everyone feels secure and respected in the space. Care in Your Home (House Sitting & Drop-Ins) If your pet prefers the comfort of their own walls, my priority is maintaining absolute consistency, security, and cleanliness while you are away. Flawless Routine Replication: I follow your specific instructions to the letter. Whether it’s feeding at an exact timestamp, following a precise walking route, or administering medication, I ensure your pet's internal clock and habits aren't disrupted. Respecting Your Space: I treat your home with the utmost respect. In addition to keeping your pets happy, I ensure their environment stays pristine—handling meticulous litter box maintenance, keeping feeding areas spotless, and making sure everything looks exactly how you left it. Security and Peace of Mind: You will receive regular updates, photos, and quick communication so you never have to wonder how things are going. I also keep a vigilant eye on the security of your home, ensuring doors are locked, mail is brought in if requested, and the property is secure.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carriage Hill
Bria was amazing with my 2 fur babies - one small and one giant. She was extremely accommodating to all my needs and went above and beyond what I expected. I have never had someone be so gracious about last-minute changes and my dogs absolutely loved her! I am so happy that I found Bria to help with my doggies!

Rebeka is a LIFE SAVER!! literally reached out to her a day before she’s a fast communicator. Met All my needs, felt very comfortable leaving my King with her. The family loves him. Will def do business again for any accommodation. Would absolutely recommend.

Gabby accepted my last minute request for assistance when my regular sitter was unable to watch my dog while I worked. She took good care of Zoey and did a great job with communicating via the app on Zoey’s progress. I will definitely use Gabby again when my sitter is unable to assist.

AMAZING experience with Lakshme! She went all out for my dog, Ches, on a cold and rainy Saturday morning at 5:30 AM! Not only did she greet him with treats and pics, but she also shared the big bed upstairs with him. She is always great with Ches and is extremely knowledgeable!

Our 2 dogs had a great day at daycare. They had a yard to run around in, sunshine and shade, a playmate to run with and human attention. They were spoiled and loved their day. Katie made natural treats for the girls too, and rest time inside. What more could 2 dogs ask for?!

I left my puppy Law for Day Care with Erika and Franklin. They took great care of law from sun up til sun down. They were able follow instructions to a T, responded quickly, asked questions and provided photos throughout the day as requested. Definitely would recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carriage Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
