About: I have been raised around dogs all my life. My dad bred bigger dogs like cane corsos & i breed french bulldogs. The love for animals, especially pups, should be unconditional, just as theirs is to us!! I train pups as well, notably walking my pup around without a leash when in safe environments. I love any pet that comes into my care! I am self employed as well as an experienced dog breeder. I love pets, cherrish them, & treat them like my children! I spend all day with my pup & take her everywhere. I am self employed from home. I have different arrangements for client preferences including food options, crate options being a cage or a flexi kennel, and a gated area to safely allow the pups to enjoy being pups!

About: I’m a retired Army officer and lifelong animal lover. I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life, and I truly believe pets are family. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, and stress‑free experience while you’re away. 🐾 What I Offer Personalized care for dogs and cats of all ages. A calm, structured, and affectionate environment. Daily updates, photos, and communication you can count on. Flexible scheduling (advance notice appreciated) but can arrange last minute pet care if available. Complimentary bath for dogs staying 7+ days. 🏡 My Home & Experience I currently live with two rescue dogs I adopted while living in Africa, along with Swiss — my daughter's energetic, one‑eyed rescue cat who visits regularly. They’ve taught me patience, intuition, and how to understand different personalities and needs. My experience comes from decades of hands‑on care rather than formal training. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, comfort level, and quirks so they feel completely at home. ❤️ Why Pets Love Staying With Me I treat every animal like my own — with attention, affection, and respect. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or laid‑back, I’ll make sure they feel safe, understood, and loved. I’d be honored to care for your furry family member. I'm currently retired and my schedule is flexible. Specific pet routines can be added to the care I will provide and ensuring pets can have a mirrored schedule of what they owner provides them daily. I have a fenced yard that has been pet-proof in order to have a safe pet environment. I take time to individually introduce my pets to others, making it a non-stressful experience.

About: Hi there! My name is Jacqueline and I have spent the past 13 years loving on my own 2 dogs Oliver & Annie until they crossed the rainbow bridge. Before that, I dogsat for friends and professors while I was in grad school. Before my 4-year-old daughter & I are ready to welcome another four-legged family member into our hearts and home, I’m happy to pour that doggie love into your pup while you work or travel! We’re both excited to take this step, and I will always be supervising if she is being a helper :) She is, however, afraid of dogs she thinks look like “wolves” (e.g., shepherds, huskies, etc.) and we’re only able to take dogs up to 50-60lbs at this time. I currently work from home most of the week. At most, I’m in the office for up to 3 hours a couple mornings per month. That means I have a flexible schedule to spend time with your pup. I can take your dog on walks throughout the day and there’s a fenced dog park my neighborhood where we can play fetch off-leash!

Lakshme was terrific, and this will be the only sitter my dog goes to!!!. I usually don’t write reviews unless I had an excellent experience or a terrible experience. I requested a last-minute daycare stay for my three-month-old Yorkipoo with Lakshme because of her excellent reviews. When I tell you all that Lakshme was overly sweet and helpful, she indeed was. I requested the stay at 9:30 am, and she accepted it my 11:00 am. I needed to leave by noon that day, and I expressed that I only wanted my dog to stay with her because of her experience and great reviews. However, she was out eating and told me she could pick my pup up from the house by 1:00 pm if I were okay with that. I said, of course, and she didn’t charge me. She just did it out of the kindness of her heart! She got there precisely at 1:00 pm. My pup was happy to see her. She sent me videos and pics of their introduction, their ride to her house, my pup eating and playing with her dogs. Unfortunately, my plans were canceled, and I had to come back to get my key; she said Zigi could stay until 6:00 pm and play with her dogs. She was a very kind person and my pup’s first dog sitter, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.

My wife and I were worried about our newly adopted rescue dog and how he'd react to different surroundings, people, and other dogs. Joy and Rodney made him feel right at home and sent a bunch of pictures showing him interacting with their dogs and other daycare pups. They made us feel comfortable too knowing our baby was in good hands. I highly recommend Joy and Rodney and I know we'll be booking with them again.

About: Hi Im TJ, a lifelong dog lover who truly understands how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’ve been there myself, and that’s exactly why I joined Rover, to offer pet parents peace of mind knowing their pup is safe, loved, and well cared for. My Care Philosophy: I treat every pup I care for like my own, with patience, affection, and attention to their comfort and well-being. I work from home full-time, which allows me to be very hands on and present throughout the day. Whether your pup is energetic or laid back, I’m able to match their vibe and provide a safe, nurturing environment. I have experience with administering medication, puppies and elderly dogs. In my home, I specialize and care for small and medium sized pups. I’m focused on quality care, I make sure each pup has a comfortable, cozy setup. I understand that every pup is unique, so I follow their established routines as closely as possible to help reduce any stress or anxiety. What to Expect •Constant supervision and companionship •Lots of playtime, affection, and mental stimulation •Regular walks, potty breaks, and updates to you •A calm, pet-friendly home environment • Crate-Trained Canines Only Your pup must be crate-trained because we serve meals and naps in their cozy "doggy suite." While you’re away I’m here to make your pup feel at ease, cared for, and loved. As someone who works from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. From morning walks and playtime to consistent potty breaks and cuddle sessions. Pet care is naturally built into my routine, so your pup will never feel alone or overlooked. I also keep their spaces clean, cozy, and calm to make them feel right at home. In my home, I provide a clean, calm, and structured environment where dogs feel safe and loved. I follow each pup’s routine closely, offer regular potty breaks, playtime, quiet rest, and use crates for overnight safety and comfort in line with Rover Trust & Safety guidance. For drop in visits, I make sure pets are fed, exercised, and given attention while keeping their home routines consistent and stress free.

Our 2 dogs had a great day at daycare. They had a yard to run around in, sunshine and shade, a playmate to run with and human attention. They were spoiled and loved their day. Katie made natural treats for the girls too, and rest time inside. What more could 2 dogs ask for?!

As of July 2026, there are 5,335 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Laurel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Laurel commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,335 sitters in Laurel, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
