About: I've owned many different pets, including dogs, cats, fish, and all sorts of livestock, and love them all very deeply! This is the same love I will bring to your pets, because I think theres nothing better than spending your time building a friendship with an animal, and gaining their trust and love. I am currently a part time student, so I have lots of time to spend with your pets. I am generally available all weekend, and anytime after 12pm on Mondays and Fridays. I like to build trust with new pets slowly, so that they don't get anxious of a new person in their space, and let them initiate most interactions. Of course I love to play with pets, but am happy to simply meet their needs and give them a bit of company if that’s what they prefer.

About: Located in Nanaimo, BC in the University District. I’ve grown up always having family dogs and I now have two cats of my own. I used to have a few regular clients that I house sat for a few years ago in Kamloops but i took a few years break from the app. Now that I’ve recently relocated to Nanaimo I’m look to get back into it again where it’s house sitting, walks or check ins. I have a pretty flexible schedule so as long as i don’t have any conflicting clients I’m available quite often as long as there is a couple hours notice. I have my own vehicle so I’m able to come to your neighbourhood or take your pet to a nearby park for a more enriching environment.

“Bree was so kind with our pup today! She braved the conditions to walk her and both pups got a good play in the snow together. Cozy looks very happy and I appreciate her flexibility with my schedule . Loved the pictures and updates too. Thank you 🙏”

About: Hello there, My name is Elizabeth. Im a very patient, trustworthy person with a passion for animals. If you ask anyone that knows me they'd say I'm an animal lover. I've had animals throughout my whole life from dogs and cats to rats and birds. I've taken care of friends and neighbors animals whether that be walking them and exercising them by playing. I've made arrangments to stop by to feed dogs and reduce some anxiety by playing and relaxing them. I've attended Vancouver Island University and took the Animal Care Aid Program learning more about the anatomy, interacting and body language of animals, and administering medications. I love taking care of animals and making sure they are getting what they need. Please contact me if I sound like a good fit for your furry family member.

About: I have had the pleasure of being apart of 3 different puppies lives, helping out with my housemates huskies, bernadoodles, and labs and have taken an active role while they grew up. Whenever their owners were away, I was always there to step in and watch over them. As a firefighter for the city of Nanaimo, my schedule is quite flexible. My days off rotate weekly and I can be available to walk or look after your pups almost any given day of the week. I'm naturally patient and observant. Every dog is an individual, and I take the time to learn their unique personality, energy levels, and any quirks they might have. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer who needs to burn off steam or a more reserved companion who prefers a leisurely stroll, I adapt my approach to suit them. This also means I'm constantly aware of their body language and surroundings, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. I understand the importance of sticking to a routine, and you'll always be informed about our walks, from pick-up to drop-off, and how your dog enjoyed their time. I treat every dog as if they were my own, prioritizing their well-being above all else. I incorporate playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of positive reinforcement into our outings. From navigating busy streets safely to exploring local trails, I ensure your dog gets the exercise and engagement they need to be happy and healthy.

About: Will care for your dog as if it was my own. Proficient in dog health, cues and behavioural indicators for optimal provision of needs. Believe in consistency from owner to care giver to maintain comfort. I am off work right now, taking time to reconnect work life so I’m just at home. When I am working, I work from home. Pets in my care, depending on home life, spend most of their time with me and come with me on any outings. Exercise is critical to evening rest. Depending on age, trips to dog parks and one long walk a day.

About: Hey there! My names Evelina, I’m 25 and I live in Nanaimo. I am a huge pet lover and I have 8 years of experience taking care of my family dog & cat, as well as pet sitting for clients. I’d love to add onto my previous dog/cat care experience and would love to provide stable, safe, welcoming care for your pet! I live right in front of a beautiful large river with trails that I often bring dogs for walks or runs and to play. I also have experience with untrained puppies & kittens so if your new pet hasn’t been trained yet, that’s completely fine with me! I’m open to anything and have full availability right now! Hope to hear from you soon! Thank you - Evelina I’m currently between jobs, so I’m not working right now, so I have full availability which I’m excited about because I love pet sitting, it would be my dream to make this my full time job! I plan lots of activities for them to stay entertained, like going out for some exercise at the nearby trails close to my house, while still being intuitive to the fact if they’re not in the mood for exercise and they just want cuddles and nap time instead!

About: Josiah had a Labrador for 15 years when he was younger and is experienced with larger and older dogs. Josiah also had a pet cat for 2 years. Hannah is slightly newer to dogs but lived with a puppy poodle for a year so has experience walking, playing and pooper-scooping! Hannah works from home, with no obligation to go into an office so will be available all day throughout the day and is happy to work from clients homes. Josiah does not start work until 10am so our schedules mean we are available for morning, afternoon and evening walks. When in clients homes, we will always respect the needs of the pet and owner. 19. Evelina H.
“Evelina, has taken care of my 60 lb Golden doodle at my house, sometimes for many days at a time. She is the only one i trust my dog with. she seems to have a way with all animals. She instinctively can read other dogs before they get near, its like she can read minds, and acts accordingly. She understands the importance of a consistent diet and exercise routine. My dog anticipates her visits, and gets crazy excited each time he sees her. I would not hesitate to recommend Evelina to care for your pet, big or small, old or young. She loves animals, and they love her. Sometimes animals know a persons characteristics better than us humans, and they all unanimously read her as a good person! :)”

Teddy had a good walk with Valentine! He’s all tired out and content having a nap home now 😴

Lindsey was absutely amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous finding someone to come and care for my dogs while i was at work. Lindsey did such an amazing job communicating with me and coming by for a quick meet & greet before coming to take the dogs on the walks for the first time. She kept me updated with photos from the walks and some great notes of how it went! If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and will care for them like her own Lindsey is your girl! Tucker & Boba say thank you! 🐾

Anastasia was very good with teddy & took him for a long walk with another dog! Teddy was calm and happy when he got home and slept very well.

Thank you Lauren! Squid looks like he had a great walk and lots of fun in the pictures sent to me. Great communication before and the Rover card I received after the walk was awesome. Will definitely bug you in the future to bust Squid out of the house. Much appreciated!!
