About: I have owned dogs my whole life, cats since I was 10 years old, as well as worked as a vet assistant for 3 years and managed a humane society for 2, in that time I have learned a lot about care for furry friends and how to keep them happy and healthy. I love going on walks and being active, and I’m excited to share that energy with a dog who needs some company. My apartment doesn’t let me have a dog right now, so I’m looking forward to spending time with pups who need love, attention, and fun walks. I am open to pet sitting and drop in visits as well but cannot do boarding unfortunately at the moment. I am currently working a rotating evening schedule, but my shifts do not start until 3pm so I am available on all days before 3 or any time on my days off. I have a cat at home that I do my best to ensure he has the best care that he deserves. I am grateful for the education I received while working as a vet assistant on how to provide the best care for my animals that I would of course have that same mentality towards the care of other animals in my care. I ensure my cat is exercised regularly and stimulated mentally throughout the day to keep him in a good mood and keep his eating area and litter box as clean as possible.

About: Growing up in a home that was never without a dog, I didn’t just learn how to "own" a pet I learned how to truly understand them. My experience spans the entire spectrum of a dog’s life, giving me a unique perspective on the changing needs of your furry family members. I’ve spent years navigating the high-energy chaos of the "puppy phase," which taught me the extreme patience required for consistent house-training, gentle redirection during teething, and the importance of reinforcing basic commands before they become bad habits. I know that a tired puppy is a happy puppy, and I’m always ready to provide the structured play and mental stimulation they crave. At the same time, I have a deep-seated devotion to senior dogs. Having cared for my own family dogs through their golden years, I am intimately familiar with the specialized care they require. I am comfortable assisting with limited mobility, sticking to strict medication schedules, and recognizing the subtle "tells" of discomfort or anxiety that others might miss. Whether it’s helping a dog up the stairs or simply providing a calm, quiet presence for a pet with doggy dementia, I lead with empathy and a slow, steady hand. What truly sets me apart is my ability to read canine body language a skill that only comes from a lifetime of observation. I can distinguish a playful nudge from a stressed out pacing, ensuring your pet feels safe and heard while you’re away. I treat every dog with the same level of care, vigilance, and affection I gave my own childhood companions. My goal is to be a seamless extension of your home routine so that your pet feels secure, loved, and perfectly at ease until you return. I currently work part-time as a cashier, which gives me flexible availability for pet care. I’m generally available Monday through Friday mornings (unless occasionally called into work) and weekend evenings. While I don’t have pets of my own at the moment, I truly enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet in my care with the same love, attention, and responsibility as if they were my own. I’ve lived with animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our house was never empty I was raised alongside cats and dogs of all sizes, and they were a massive part of my daily life. They weren’t just pets to me; they were family. Being around them 24/7 since I was a kid taught me how to read their moods and understand what they need before they even ask for it. As I got older, my love for animals turned into a real commitment to their well being. I started taking in street cats that needed help, often bringing them back from poor health with a lot of patience and care. I’ve also spent time nursing abandoned kittens that required round the clock attention. Doing rescue work like that taught me the un glamorous side of pet care the importance of strict medication schedules, monitoring appetite and behavior for signs of illness, and keeping a sterile, clean environment. One thing anyone who knows me will tell you is that I spoil every animal I’ve ever had.

To me, pets are family, and I believe they deserve the same love, patience, and respect as any other family member. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and curious kittens to gentle senior cats and dogs, and I understand how each stage of life comes with unique needs. I also have experience with reactive dogs and truly understand how stressful it can feel to trust someone else with a pup who needs extra care, patience, and awareness. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and supportive environment where your pet feels secure and understood. With dogs, I have extensive experience in training, including agility, and I’m happy to reinforce any ongoing training routines you’re working on. While most of my experience has been caring for my own pets and those of close friends and family, I’m excited to expand my services and help more pet parents feel confident, supported, and worry-free while they’re away. I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. After work we’ll get a good walk in. They’ll have access to a large, fully fenced yard for safe potty breaks and outdoor time, along with a minimum of one walk daily. Off-leash adventures can also be offered for the right fit. I share my home with two cats and children, so any dog staying with us must be comfortable, gentle, and non-reactive in these environments. For everyone’s comfort and safety, trial meet-and-greets are required for all new boarding clients.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience with dogs of all ages—from high-energy hunting dogs to senior pups who need extra patience and care. I’ve raised a litter of puppies, spent years around training dogs, and feel confident handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. I have a flexible schedule, I’m originally from Saskatchewan, and I truly love dogs of every size and personality. Your pup will be treated like family. I am a student athlete at VIU with very flexible class schedule. I am taking geography so any chance I can get outside with a friendly dog to appreciate the natural outdoors I take it! About: Drop in’s: feedings, potty breaks and play time is the main focus, I love animals of all types and sizes and nothing makes me happier than knowing a pet is being well cared for. Walking: catering to the length of a walk depending on breed and age is my specialty, volunteering in a boarding kennel has allowed me to gain a wide knowledge of the needs of many breeds, as well as working with disabled dogs and catering to their specific needs. Pet care is very important to me, my end goal is to become a veterinarian, caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember and there is not other job I'd rather do and my love for animals shows through my work.
