“Jaydyn was amazing. Took wonderful care of our mastiff cross and spoiled him rotten. We had zero concerns while away that our family member was taken care of and she sent pics!!”

“Karuna did an amazing job taking care of our pup. We appreciated all of the updates and photos throughout our time away, knowing that our dog and home were safe in Karuna’s care. We will definitely ask Karuna to dog sit again!”

“Angela is an excellent sitter. She is patient, understanding and able to adapt to pets’ unique needs. She looked after my dog Freya during a time Freya had some health issues, and she managed Freya’s various medications and anxiety about being in a cone well. Angela sent updates, asked questions when needed, and made decisions with Freya’s best interests in mind. And she left my house spotless. I absolutely recommend her.”

About: Will care for your dog as if it was my own. Proficient in dog health, cues and behavioural indicators for optimal provision of needs. Believe in consistency from owner to care giver to maintain comfort. I am off work right now, taking time to reconnect work life so I’m just at home. When I am working, I work from home. Pets in my care, depending on home life, spend most of their time with me and come with me on any outings. Exercise is critical to evening rest. Depending on age, trips to dog parks and one long walk a day.
About: I’ve always had dogs and have a lifelong love for animals. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including indoor and outdoor cats and dogs of different breeds and sizes. I also have my own dog and have done extensive training with reactivity and anxiety, giving me experience working calmly and patiently with reactive or anxious dogs. I offer house sitting and take care of everything while you’re away, treating every pet and home as if they were my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I meet with each family allowing me to create a trailered plan to meet the needs of each home. Helping to provide a stable environment for every animal! I believe it’s best for the animals to stay where they are the most comfortable. So I typically stay with them or ensure I go for multiple visits throughout the day.
“Hilda did a wonderful job pet sitting for us, she was such a life saver! She was able to help us short notice, gave wonderful care to our pets, provided many sweet updates while we were away and was a respectful and gracious guest in our home. We would love to have her back any time. Thank you again Hilda !!”

“Ann was absolutely fantastic with our dog, Pepper. Right from the start we noticed her calm and inviting energy and felt that our beloved girl was in good hands. She was extremely communicative, provided lots of updates and pictures, and even washed our bedsheets at the end of her stay. We could tell just how much she enjoyed being with Pepper and never got the sense that she treated it like a chore. If we can, we would love to have her watch our dog again!”

About: I have owned dogs my whole life, cats since I was 10 years old, as well as worked as a vet assistant for 3 years and managed a humane society for 2, in that time I have learned a lot about care for furry friends and how to keep them happy and healthy. I love going on walks and being active, and I’m excited to share that energy with a dog who needs some company. My apartment doesn’t let me have a dog right now, so I’m looking forward to spending time with pups who need love, attention, and fun walks. I am open to pet sitting and drop in visits as well but cannot do boarding unfortunately at the moment. I am currently working a rotating evening schedule, but my shifts do not start until 3pm so I am available on all days before 3 or any time on my days off. I have a cat at home that I do my best to ensure he has the best care that he deserves. I am grateful for the education I received while working as a vet assistant on how to provide the best care for my animals that I would of course have that same mentality towards the care of other animals in my care. I ensure my cat is exercised regularly and stimulated mentally throughout the day to keep him in a good mood and keep his eating area and litter box as clean as possible.
About: Growing up in a home that was never without a dog, I didn’t just learn how to "own" a pet I learned how to truly understand them. My experience spans the entire spectrum of a dog’s life, giving me a unique perspective on the changing needs of your furry family members. I’ve spent years navigating the high-energy chaos of the "puppy phase," which taught me the extreme patience required for consistent house-training, gentle redirection during teething, and the importance of reinforcing basic commands before they become bad habits. I know that a tired puppy is a happy puppy, and I’m always ready to provide the structured play and mental stimulation they crave. At the same time, I have a deep-seated devotion to senior dogs. Having cared for my own family dogs through their golden years, I am intimately familiar with the specialized care they require. I am comfortable assisting with limited mobility, sticking to strict medication schedules, and recognizing the subtle "tells" of discomfort or anxiety that others might miss. Whether it’s helping a dog up the stairs or simply providing a calm, quiet presence for a pet with doggy dementia, I lead with empathy and a slow, steady hand. What truly sets me apart is my ability to read canine body language a skill that only comes from a lifetime of observation. I can distinguish a playful nudge from a stressed out pacing, ensuring your pet feels safe and heard while you’re away. I treat every dog with the same level of care, vigilance, and affection I gave my own childhood companions. My goal is to be a seamless extension of your home routine so that your pet feels secure, loved, and perfectly at ease until you return. I currently work part-time as a cashier, which gives me flexible availability for pet care. I’m generally available Monday through Friday mornings (unless occasionally called into work) and weekend evenings. While I don’t have pets of my own at the moment, I truly enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet in my care with the same love, attention, and responsibility as if they were my own. I’ve lived with animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our house was never empty I was raised alongside cats and dogs of all sizes, and they were a massive part of my daily life. They weren’t just pets to me; they were family. Being around them 24/7 since I was a kid taught me how to read their moods and understand what they need before they even ask for it. As I got older, my love for animals turned into a real commitment to their well being. I started taking in street cats that needed help, often bringing them back from poor health with a lot of patience and care. I’ve also spent time nursing abandoned kittens that required round the clock attention. Doing rescue work like that taught me the un glamorous side of pet care the importance of strict medication schedules, monitoring appetite and behavior for signs of illness, and keeping a sterile, clean environment. One thing anyone who knows me will tell you is that I spoil every animal I’ve ever had.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, giving me a lifetime of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities. To me, pets are family, and I believe they deserve the same love, patience, and respect as any other family member. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and curious kittens to gentle senior cats and dogs, and I understand how each stage of life comes with unique needs. I also have experience with reactive dogs and truly understand how stressful it can feel to trust someone else with a pup who needs extra care, patience, and awareness. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and supportive environment where your pet feels secure and understood. With dogs, I have extensive experience in training, including agility, and I’m happy to reinforce any ongoing training routines you’re working on. While most of my experience has been caring for my own pets and those of close friends and family, I’m excited to expand my services and help more pet parents feel confident, supported, and worry-free while they’re away. I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. After work we’ll get a good walk in. They’ll have access to a large, fully fenced yard for safe potty breaks and outdoor time, along with a minimum of one walk daily. Off-leash adventures can also be offered for the right fit. I share my home with two cats and children, so any dog staying with us must be comfortable, gentle, and non-reactive in these environments. For everyone’s comfort and safety, trial meet-and-greets are required for all new boarding clients.
“Simone is awesome! Checked in twice daily and was super dependable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with leaving my cat and dog with her, and for her to housesit. I will definitely be asking for her help again next time we go away. Thanks so much Simone 🩷”

“Jimena was absolutely amazing with Taika! I kept getting regular updates and videos/photos that really put my mind at ease while I was away. So happy with her service and will definitely be booking her again when needed!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience with dogs of all ages—from high-energy hunting dogs to senior pups who need extra patience and care. I’ve raised a litter of puppies, spent years around training dogs, and feel confident handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. I have a flexible schedule, I’m originally from Saskatchewan, and I truly love dogs of every size and personality. Your pup will be treated like family. I am a student athlete at VIU with very flexible class schedule. I am taking geography so any chance I can get outside with a friendly dog to appreciate the natural outdoors I take it! I love experiencing new parks, and environments and will go above and beyond to find a spot that fits with your dogs behaviour and lifestyle! I have the mentality that a pet is an equal and family member. I have patience and manners when it comes to commands and allow for trust to created and earned. I believe they will treat you how you treat them within reason, and will consistently be creating a relationship. My style of ownership is ensuring that my pet feels apart of most of my everyday life. Exposing my pet to all outdoors I have access to, friends and family gatherings and daily errands.
About: Drop in’s: feedings, potty breaks and play time is the main focus, I love animals of all types and sizes and nothing makes me happier than knowing a pet is being well cared for. Walking: catering to the length of a walk depending on breed and age is my specialty, volunteering in a boarding kennel has allowed me to gain a wide knowledge of the needs of many breeds, as well as working with disabled dogs and catering to their specific needs. Pet care is very important to me, my end goal is to become a veterinarian, caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember and there is not other job I'd rather do and my love for animals shows through my work.

It was my first time using Rover and I’m glad to have met Alicia. She came to visit me few days before I leave to meet my pets and make sure she had all the information. Alicia is very sweet and kind. She arrived on time, sent me updates and photos throughout her stay, and left the house in perfect condition. My pets seemed to enjoy her company :) I recommend her :)

This is the first time we have used an in home petsitter, and Scott was great! We have 3 high demand animals - a border collie, a senior cat with health concerns and medications, and a kitten who runs the house. Scott came out twice in advance to our home to meet the animals and get a lay of the land and all their needs. He was communicative before and during our trip, updating us with photos of our happy clan. We came home to a clean house and 3 very happy animals. I would very much recommend Scott for any of your animal care needs!!

Jodelle was amazing with our almost 11 week old pup! We had a pre booked night away from before we got our dog that we couldn’t cancel and Jodelle came through last minute and was unbelievable with Frankie. Puppies are not easy but she did such a great job and was so attentive.

Kylee took good care of my dog Cheecha and followed the instructions I left for her. She was easy to communicate with, sent daily pictures and told me when my dog was showing signs of an upset tummy. When I got back home, the house was in the same clean condition I left it in. I would definitely book with her again. Thank you Kylee!

Hannalley was such an amazing dog & cat sitter. She kept us updated with photos and had zero problems with my energetic pomsky! Our place was left exactly as we found it and all the animals were content and happy . Would recommend and use her services again in a heartbeat
