Her regular sitter was away so I entrusted her with Marcel and although I was apprehensive at first, I am so glad she got to experience a little “holiday” away from me. I also know the difficulty that comes with having to travel and leaving your pet and often your house in the care of another person. I currently am available any day for pet sitting, and am willing to stay overnight to also take care of your house and treat your pet and house with the same care that I take with my cat and my house. About: Lost my reactive dog in 2025 and looking to open my house to dogs/cats who excel in home boarding. I work from home and miss having a pet during the day. My kids are young but dog smart due to having grown up near a reactive dog. I have worked in dog/cat kennels, volunteered with the BCSPCA, fostered a mamma dog and her 6 puppies when only 1 week old and have developed my reactive dog skills over the past 15+ years. About: I’ve had animals my entire life — from cats and dogs to a variety of farm animals — and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I truly believe dogs are part of the family and deserve to be treated with the same love, respect, and attention as any family member. I’m very active and make sure the dogs in my care get plenty of exercise and enrichment. We go on walks at least twice a day, with longer off-leash adventures on the weekends (when appropriate and safe). Because I work from home, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, outdoor time, and lots of attention throughout the day. I’m also happy to drop in for potty breaks if you’re within a reasonable driving distance. Growing up on a farm gave me hands-on experience with all kinds of animals, including keeping chickens on and off over the years. I’m comfortable, confident, and attentive with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I share my home with two very friendly, well-socialized dogs. One is a large senior Lab who spends most of his day happily snoozing, and the other is a young Dachshund who would love a playmate but is just as content relaxing if that’s more your dog’s style. Both dogs are neutered, healthy and kept up to date on vaccinations. Because of this, I do require that visiting dogs are comfortable around other dogs. I have fostered puppies over the years and am comfortable with puppy care as well as administering medication for any health issues. Your pup will be welcomed into our home like one of our own — with love, structure, exercise, and plenty of cozy downtime. 🐾 My days are structured but flexible since I work from home. I’m able to let dogs out in our secure fenced yard for potty breaks as needed throughout the day and always make time for at least one dedicated walk during the workday. After work, we head out for a longer walk to burn off energy and enjoy some fresh air. Between walks, there’s plenty of supervision, companionship, and relaxation time so your pup feels comfortable, cared for, and part of the family all day long. 🐾 Your dog will be welcomed into a calm, loving home with lots of attention and supervision throughout the day. I do have two friendly, well-socialized dogs at home — a laid-back senior Lab and a young Dachshund — so visiting pups must be comfortable around other dogs. We tailor walks to each dog’s comfort level and training, offering on-leash or off-leash outings when appropriate and safe. At night, my dogs typically sleep with me, and there’s plenty of room for extra snuggles if your pup enjoys that too. If you prefer your dog to be crated or follow a specific nighttime routine, I’m happy to stick to your instructions to keep their routine consistent. 🐾

Things we can offer 🏠 Someone home 24/7: your dog has a full time human with them. 🔸️Guaranteed minimum 1 hour walks daily: we're hikers and outdoorsy people, your pup will leave tired and happy. 🎓 Expert obedience & dog sport training: have a skill that needs work? Want your dog to learn a new trick, want you pup to attend a dog sport class, we can do that! mental stimulation guaranteed. Just ask! 💊 Medical & special needs welcome: medication, anxiety, rehab, we have cared for many dogs with special needs and welcome them with open arms. My husband and I both work from home, which means your dog is never alone, not even for an hour. We're present, engaged, and genuinely happy to have the company! We're active, outdoorsy people who build daily walks and training into our own routine every single day. Our personal dog gets a minimum 1-hour training session and a 1-hour walk daily and your pup benefits from that same structured, enriching environment. Weekends are when we really get out hikes, beaches, and fields where we can stretch our legs properly. We'd love to bring your dog along for the adventure. A few things to note: 🔸️Frequent potty breaks available throughout the day as needed 🔸️Minimum 1 hour of exercise daily — weekends can reach up to 6 hours outdoors 🔸️🔸️ Bookings over 1 week require a trial daycare or boarding visit first to ensure a great fit for everyone 🚫 Please note we are not accepting reactive dogs at this time as we have our own gentle pup who we want to keep feeling safe and confident. We are also are not accepting Doodle breeds at this time. 🔸️ A harness is required for all walks please pack one! We do have a loaner that fits medium breeds We provide a calm, structured, and loving space where your dog can truly settle in. We live in a house with a fully fenced yard plenty of room to run, sniff, and play. There's also a large open field nearby where we regularly play frisbee and enjoy off-leash style fun in a safe setting. Your dog's comfort and safety is always the priority: 🔸️Obedience training experience from puppy to senior, we understand dog behaviour deeply and practice it daily 🔸️Crate training experience available if your dog uses one at home 🔸️Dogs are welcome on the couch and bed if that's their thing we want them to feel at home 🔸️Toys, water bowls, food bowls, and an extra leash are all here waiting 🔸️Medication administration and special needs are no problem 📷 we provide updates and photos so you have piece of mind. 🚫 We never walk dogs off leash. This is a firm safety policy, no exceptions.
