About: I have cared for dogs and cats all my life and most recently, my bunny Joshua. My dog was diabetic for half of her life before she passed. I have experience administering medications and injecting insulin/needles. I am also a certified Veterinary Assistant. I am Currently working as a part-time veterinary assistant, I do not have a set schedule but only work 2-3 days a week(12-18 hours total). I offer loving and reliable drop-in or overnight visits to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. During my visits, I'll provide fresh food and water, playtime, walks (if applicable), litter box cleaning, and plenty of cuddles! I'm passionate about ensuring your furry friends are happy and well-cared for while you're away.

“If you need a wonderful reliable dog sitter, it’s Tara! We needed a dog sitter in short notice and we got very vey lucky. We had never met Tara before and after talking with her we knew she could be trusted with our house and our dog. The minute Tara got in the house she sat down and welcomed our dog into her lap. Our dog is a rescue and very timid. She does not like change. Tara easily won her over with her very calm aura and scratches in our dogs favourite places. Tara sent pics of Bella and we saw our dog was right at ease. It also made us feel better about leaving her. Tara is very reliable, followed routines and asked questions. “I initially had trouble finding someone on Rover who had their calendar up-to-date, was willing to commit to my request, or would respond to my inquiries. I feel like I won the dog sitter lottery when I reached out to Jillian as she responded right away and enthusiastically committed to looking after my boy Blue. The minute I met Jillian I knew Blue was in great hands. Blue is very nervous of new people but warmed up to Jillian almost immediately as she was calm and didn’t rush the meeting…she knew what he needed right away. During the stay Jillian sent me updates, pictures, and videos which showed me how well our fur baby was doing. Jillian was very respectful of our home and left it beautifully clean when we arrived home. Blue is still looking around the place for her and is expecting more play from us as Jillian set the bar high. About: I’m lucky to have two amazing dogs in my life, Luna ( a lady of a certain age! ) she belongs to my son and when she comes to me for her “holidays” we enjoy long, leisurely walks and/or a lovely swim in the ocean! And lots of cosy, curled up on the couch time. Then there’s Molly- who is a sweet golden retriever puppy belonging to my daughter. I spent a wonderful summer with Molly in tow, at just 10 weeks old, everything was new to her and delighted her. Although our walks were short, we went often and Molly made many friends in the neighbourhood! My daughter lives in the Okanagan Valley therefore, sadly I don’t get to spend nearly enough time with “our” Molly. Having said that, I do have lots of time to spend with your precious canine! I love walking and believe I would be a great companion for your dog when you can’t be there. I will strive to walk in different areas to provide visual interest to your dog and take the utmost care of him/ her at all times. I prefer on leash walks but am more than happy to play off leash games in your back yard. If your dog requires medication, I’m quite confident with that - recently Luna needed a course of injections and I was able to do that with no problems and obviously, I can feed your dog if required. At the moment I provide 2 kitties with regular overnight care and drop in visits. One of whom is diabetic & requires daily medication. I have lots of flexibility at the moment. I can offer week day and weekend service and am happy to tailor the length/ type of walk to suit your dog. I prefer to offer one on one care to deepen my bond with your dog. I am excellent housekeeper & live “lightly” in my clients homes.

About: I have owned lots of dogs and cats and have experience with small caged animals as well (hamsters, mice, lizards, and snakes - both small and medium sized). I am comfortable with, and have cared for, elderly animals that have needed medication, including insulin injections for diabetes and those requiring extensive eye care. I am not a runner, but I do enjoy long walks, especially with a furry friend or two. Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. I would love to watch your fur baby (or babies)! I am currently looking for a part-time summer job and do not have a set schedule as of now, which means I am fully available to spend as much time with your pets as you'd like! I adhere strictly to your instructions and wishes when it comes to your animals. I understand that everyone (and every pet) is different, with needs that will range across a full spectrum. I love taking photos and sending updates while pet parents are away to keep them up to date and secure their peace of mind. Communication is key, and I am always reachable, especially while caring for another's pet(s).

About: I’ve taken care of pets for the last 10 years for friends, family and word of mouth. I had a dog throughout my childhood and now love to fill my time with furry friends. I would love to walk, board or stay at your home with your pets. I have walked and looked after any age and any size of pets. I currently am working very part time so I have lots of time to spend with your pets. I am available all days! I have lots of time in the mornings and afternoons to take your pets out for a long walk if that’s what they want! I have a large unfenced backyard but a large deck that is closed off. There is lots of space for your dog to explore around my yard though! And I am always with them outside so don’t worry about them. I also love to stay at your place to make your pets feel at home still.

About: Hi! I'm a full-time cat mom of two wonderful kitties, Iggy & Hans. They make the rules around here, so unfortunately I can't get a dog right now, but that means I'm more than happy to watch your dog/pets in your home :) I grew up with 2 beautiful Newfoundlands and a Heinz variety, and I'm a huge animal lover. I have experience with young pups/senior dogs, and have some experience providing medication to both dogs and cats. I work from home 4 days a week (in office one day a week), so I'd be with your pet the majority of the stay. This is great for pets who like their routines and thrive on a consistent schedule when it comes to feeding/walking/playtime etc. I've done sits for both active and low energy dogs, so I can adapt to their energy level:) As a cat mom who loves to travel internationally, I understand how stressful and hard it can be to trust someone with your home/pet and I'd be happy to provide as many updates and photos as you'd like :)

I am available anytime for drop-off...I am available most holidays..I live near an area that has less traffic and safe for walking and exploring the area. Your dog will be supervised in the house and in the yard. Fresh water all the time....your snacks if you choose to allow them for your dog.

Pat responded to our enquiry promptly and met with us on two occasions to get all the details regarding staying in our home, including Bailey's culinary details and exercise and sleeping preferences. Upon our return we found everything as we had left it and a very happy Bailey eager to have us go on another vacation in order to have fun with Pat again. We highly recommend Pat as she saved the situation for us. Initially, we did some "interviews" with a local kennel but were rejected since all Bailey did during the "all day trial" was try to escape. About: Greetings from the Dawg House! I'm Dawn! I am semi-retired and work from home with my two Rescue Pups: Blanquita the mini poodle mix and Margo the pug! They are rescues from Mexico and both welcome all of our new friends at the Dawg House. I have 97 five star gold reviews and testimonials and many repeat customers. I provide 24 hour supervision and dogs are never left alone or crated (unless the dog is used to it and that is what the owner wants). All dogs are welcome to sleep with me. I will also come to your house for overnights with your furry friends because I know that some dogs and cats do better in their own home. I have experience with senior dogs, nervous and anxious dogs, dogs who suffer from separation anxiety as well as dogs who need medication. Dogs have full run of the house and are never left alone without prior approval from you. I provide 24 hour care and supervision. Dogs at my house get lots of love and attention: our day can include snuggles on the couch, people & animal watching out of the windows, or with your permission - car rides to local parks and beaches. Your pup will have freedom to roam in our apartment, finding what spots they find most comfortable. I have experience with seniors, nervous/ anxious dogs, separation anxiety, and giving medications to dogs. Pets are allowed total freedom in our apartment and are more than welcome to sleep with us. All dogs are taken out several times a day.
