About: I have had a dog or taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Family, neighbours and friends have all relied on me to help take care of their pets for many years. I am a huge animal lover and a health care worker and will always provide the best and safest care for your pup. Recently I have fostered some dogs through a local rescue and helped them find their new home. I have learned alot about behaviours and training with these pups. We love to play in the yard or go for walks, and have lots of snuggles on the couch :) I currently work part time so have lots of time available to spend with your dog! My flexible schedule allows me to board your pet overnight any day of the week, or drop in for visits/walks. I have a fenced back yard and two small dogs to keep your fur baby company! Your dog is welcome to treat our home as their own and I will give them lots of love and be devoted to their happiness and well being while you are away.

About: I am 58yrs young and I live with my 6 months old puppy PACO. I have owned dogs, cats, horse, ducks, chickens or birds all my life and lived on a farm until I was 18. I love talking with my pets like they are humans. I love cuddling also. I am very active, therefore able to walk or run with a dog who needs it. I have trails to walk and a fenced area if needed. My puppy Paco Bear is great with other pets and of course loves to play. I live in a trailer and dogs can go on couches. I make sure to wipe paws and fur before roaming if dog comes in from the rain. I work part-time on a casual on-call basis for the Ladysmith Post Office on only 4 hour shifts per day usually. I am available on weekends and weekdays. There is a farm house on my right (which is not too close) with a few animals (like goats, chickens) but her home and farm is fenced in and no other animals can get in. About: I worked at my local humane society back when I lived in Ontario where I was responsible for daily enclosure cleaning/maintenance as well as keeping an eye out for any unusual or concerning conditions. I handled the animals and made sure to give them some love while I could. It wasn’t my job to do that much, but I just love animals so much and that job brought me a lot of joy. Aside from that job, I’ve handled pets most of my life. I’ve had cats, dogs, and more personally for 13 years I had a conure, and for about 7 I had a rabbit. Because of this, I’m very experienced with birds and rabbits especially! I am great with cats too, but my household does have one. She’s an old lady that sleeps mostly and if needed can easily be kept away from any other animals. At home I currently live with a cat who belongs to my sister, but I am her auntie and spend tons of time with her and look after her in ways such as helping with her inhaler, helping clip her nails, brushing, and so on. If my sister is away for any reason, she is fully under my care. I have a spare room that is pretty well empty with just a guest bed next to my room in my house, and because I live with a cat with Asthma, I try to keep all spaces (especially that room) scent free. I also have no problem staying at a client’s place for a few nights if we’ve established some comfortability and familiarity. I don’t have supplies or enclosures on my own, so all that would have to be provided by the owner.

About: Dog mom of Max since he was 8 weeks old. My parents used to breed miniature schnauzers, so it was really neat to be part of the process of birthing and puppy care ☺️ After an extended break from dog-sitting, I finally am settled in my own home. My partner and I recently moved to Nanaimo and are excited to explore! My partner and I work from home full-time, so our schedule is flexible for daily potty breaks, walks, outside playtime and snuggles. We also like visiting off-leash dog parks and the beach. Max is a very well loved pup! He is a member of the family, is allowed on the couch for a snuggle and sleeps at the foot of the bed. My doggo gets along great with other pups, but he's a bit hesitant now after being attacked by another dog last Fall. Chloe took the time to do slow introductions between Jughead and the other dogs to ensure he was comfortable. All in all, everything went great and I'd definitely have her pet sit again.”
