About: I have taken care of many different dogs, including border collies, havanese and husky mixes! I grew up doing dog trials with 10-11 border collies & have house and dog sat over 5 times (1 being for over 4 months). I am open to dogsits, cat sits , dog walks and housesits as well as quick drop ins! I am very active and would love taking your dogs on walks/runs/hikes in my free time! I would love to give your cat lots of pets & love! I keep animals on their schedule and make sure to keep their life as regular as possible as if their owner has never left. I make sure to get all the needed information: medications, food schedules & exercise routines before the owner leaves.

About: I have been caring for animals since I was 10 years old. I graduated from a Veterinary Assistant program in 2001. I am a volunteer at the BCSPCA 2 to 4 days a week and have been involved in several animal rescues. I have been a stay at home mom of humans and animals for 22 years but the human kids are growing up and moving on leaving me the time and desire to spend more time with animals. I am available to feed, walk, bathe and medicate your pets. I am able to take them to and from vet or grooming appointments and provide safe and loving care in your home. I enjoy taking dogs to the beach, trails, and neighborhood walks. Long hikes or short strolls. I am feline savvy as well and am comfortable with animals of all sorts. I have been happily married for 25 years and we own our own home in North Nanaimo. I am also an active and long term volunteer board member with the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association. I am able to provide both personal and professional references upon request. My availability is extremely flexible. I do not work outside of being a parent and my availability is quite open with some exceptions. I'm sure we could always make something work. My number one priority is and always will be an animals safety and mental/physical well-being and happiness. I can accommodate any requirements you have for your fur babies. My animals are just as much my kids as my human children. To make sure I have the most knowledge possible on your pet(s), I provide an initial questionnaire as well as provide initial meet and greets to ensure we are all a good fit.

About: I grew up on a farm and have been around animals my entire life. We had hounds and a Bull Mastiff growing up, and I was hands-on with daily care and routines. I was mainly responsible for caring for our goats — including baby goats and milking — and I also helped out on neighbouring farms. I got my first dog at 21, and she was by my side for 13 wonderful years, so I understand the lifelong commitment, love, and responsibility that comes with caring for a dog. Over the years, I’ve regularly taken friends’ dogs on hikes, especially when living in the Interior — everything from extra-large breeds to tiny minis. I’m confident handling different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always prioritize safety, patience, and positive experiences. We’re a pet-loving household, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I’m home during the work week, which means your pet will have plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. We have a large property with a fully fenced back yard for safe outdoor time, as well as access to local wooded trails and paved paths for walks and enrichment. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, drop-ins, and flexible scheduling, and I tailor activity levels based on each dog’s needs — whether that’s a calm stroll, trail walk, or extra outdoor time. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will be treated like part of the family. Safety, trust, and a positive environment are my top priorities. We have a very friendly dog and two small children, so it’s important that visiting pets are comfortable around both. Our large, fully fenced backyard provides a safe space for supervised outdoor time. If your dog prefers one-on-one attention, I’m happy to offer solo walks or individualized care tailored to their needs. Whether your pup enjoys calm companionship, structured walks, or extra outdoor enrichment, I aim to create a safe, relaxed, and loving experience for every dog in my care.

About: I have professional and personal experience with dogs, working in a professional setting with up to roughly 100 dogs daily (to many...please don't hire me to look after that many) as well as working with strays and rescues out of the country... Just lots of pet experience all around. I am professionally trained in dog and cat behavior, and studied wildlife biology. Not just a dog lover, I can handle all animals well, including exotics:). I am open for over night or a few hours or days. Any time is a good time. I can be flexible for whatever works I pay attention to the animal's behavior and needs rather than wants. Every dog is a new personality and they shouldn't all be handled the same way.

About: I have had pets my entire life: a German Shepard Husky growing up, and now I have a cat that I adopted from the SPCA (my second). I love pets and they love me. I also know the difficulty that comes with having to travel and leaving your pet and often your house in the care of another person. I am respectful, responsible, kind and considerate when it comes to animals and other peoples' homes. I currently am available any day for pet sitting, and am willing to stay overnight to also take care of your house and treat your pet and house with the same care that I take with my cat and my house. Unfortunately I do not have a fenced yard so cannot have pets in my house. I am happy to care for your pet in your home whether it means dropping by to feed and clean up and spend some quality time with them, or staying over night if needed if you are going on a longer trip.

About: I've been taking care of animals for over 10 years now. Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and all around care for their pets. I'm a certified vet assistant so I am very comfortable giving them medications as well and continuing on any training they might have ongoing. I am currently working at an animal hospital from 8 to 6 from Tuesday to Friday. So they would have to be okay to stay alone for 10 hours if possible if not I can try to let them out after 5 hours. I like to stay at the clients home so that your pet can stay as comfortable as they want. While keeping to their daily routine as much as possible.

About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and the energy they bring. I especially enjoy getting out for walks, and having a dog as a companion makes that time even better. It’s honestly one of my favorite ways to spend a day. I’m fairly new to the world of dog walking and sitting, most of my experience coming in the last 4 years. I may be newer, but that doesn’t mean I lack the necessary experience. I’ve worked with different temperaments and ages, from high-energy dogs to older ones that need a slower, more gentle pace. I’m comfortable following routines, including walks, feeding schedules, and any specific care instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and I want you to feel like you’re leaving your dog with someone who has as much love to give as you do. I am working part-time, I’m currently doing evening bartending shifts, so I will be available nearly all hours of the early day and 3-4 days a week I will be available in the evenings as well, usually varies what days:) Providing a safe and comfortable environment is always my top priority.
