About: Growing up, I always had dogs and cats. When I moved to Nanaimo for school, I missed my pets so much that I started volunteering with ElderDog Nanaimo in 2022. I joined Rover three years ago, and it’s been an amazing journey! Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities: from confident, easygoing pups to those who need extra patience, trust, and understanding. I’ve loved getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I also completed my 208-hour criminology practicum with the BC SPCA, where I worked closely with dogs and cats, learning about their behaviour, backgrounds, and individual needs. I helped administer medication, provided daily care, and gave them the love and support they needed as they prepared to find their forever homes. Since June 2026, I am a VIU Criminology alumni! At the moment, I am away in Northwestern Ontario helping with wildfire operations, as a fire ranger. I look forward to resuming Rover bookings in October and caring for your pets again! My schedule is generally very flexible, allowing me to provide reliable care for your pets. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to book for October or later. I believe in building a genuine connection with every pet while keeping them on their normal routine. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and always follow your instructions carefully to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all sizes and many different breeds. I have experience with reactive animals and have confidence that your pet is safe with me. I have been relied on for extended care over holidays and have cared for multiple pets at once. I am attentive to the needs of your pets and want to ensure that separation anxiety is minimal for both you and your furry friend! I currently own two cats of my own with my lovely partner. We love them like our own children and they are friendly with all other animals! I am currently working as a registered nurse and am home the majority of the week. I am able to work around your schedule and have flexible hours. I enjoy when I am left a list of specifics for your pet that I can follow to ensure that your pet is maintained on their normal schedule. If your pets are welcome on your furniture, they are welcome on mine! Whatever I can do to make your pet feel at home and comfortable in their environment is the most important to me.

Madison was fantastic and accommodating to all of my requests and following the regimented dosing schedule for his medication. About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and the energy they bring. I especially enjoy getting out for walks, and having a dog as a companion makes that time even better. It’s honestly one of my favorite ways to spend a day. I’m fairly new to the world of dog walking and sitting, most of my experience coming in the last 4 years. I may be newer, but that doesn’t mean I lack the necessary experience. I’ve worked with different temperaments and ages, from high-energy dogs to older ones that need a slower, more gentle pace. I’m comfortable following routines, including walks, feeding schedules, and any specific care instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and I want you to feel like you’re leaving your dog with someone who has as much love to give as you do. I am working part-time, I’m currently doing evening bartending shifts, so I will be available nearly all hours of the early day and 3-4 days a week I will be available in the evenings as well, usually varies what days:) Providing a safe and comfortable environment is always my top priority. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and low-stress. I’m attentive during walks, mindful of surroundings, and careful to follow any instructions around feeding, medications, or behaviour. At the same time, I make sure each pet gets the kind of care and attention that suits them best. Whether that’s a slower, relaxed pace for a senior dog or more active walks and playtime for a high-energy pup, I adjust to what keeps them happy and comfortable. My goal is to create a balanced environment where your pet feels secure, well cared for, and genuinely enjoys their time while you’re away. I am always happy to send picture updates as I go through my day, of the happy pups and their smiling faces as they go about on their walks.

About: I have professional and personal experience with dogs, working in a professional setting with up to roughly 100 dogs daily (to many...please don't hire me to look after that many) as well as working with strays and rescues out of the country... Just lots of pet experience all around. I am professionally trained in dog and cat behavior, and studied wildlife biology. Not just a dog lover, I can handle all animals well, including exotics:). I am open for over night or a few hours or days. Any time is a good time. I can be flexible for whatever works I pay attention to the animal's behavior and needs rather than wants. Every dog is a new personality and they shouldn't all be handled the same way.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and reliability I bring to every pet as if they were my own. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I have experience working with pets of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies/kittens who need structure, consistency, and basic training reinforcement, to senior pets who require patience, gentle handling, and an understanding of slower-paced routines. Pet parents can also expect clear and consistent communication from me, including regular updates and photos so they always know how their pet is doing. I understand how important peace of mind is when you’re away, and I aim to provide exactly that. Above all, I treat every animal like family—because to me, they are. I am currently working part-time so have full availability Friday-Sunday and partially available Monday-Thursday in mornings and evenings. I have my own vehicle to travel to your home to visit your pet or take them for walks. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, including feeding routines, exercise levels, behavioural quirks, and comfort preferences. I’m confident handling leash walking, including dogs still learning proper walking manners. I will work to provide a calm presence in your home and ensure all routines are followed.

About: I've always loved animals. I have a psych degree, and learning about positive re-enforcement and and training pets to do tricks is my favourite thing. I'm self employed so my schedule is flexible. I am also nomadic, so I'm happy to travel to a new place to care for a pet, and be somewhere new I take time to get to know each animal, their wants and needs, and most importantly, their personalities. My goal is to make any separation from their persons as easy as possible
