About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. I’ll be available for pet care before and after class, and all day on weekends. :) As someone who has worked with pets of all kinds with varying medical and physical needs you can rest assured that I will have both the skills and knowledge to give your pet the absolute best care!

About: I grew up with dogs and cats as a child. As soon as I moved out to Canada, I got my own dog. My kids grew up with all kinds of animals in the house, the animals helped make my house a home. I’ve looked after friends and family pets most of my life and occasionally got paid for it. I took semi retirement early to enjoy life more and work less. I don’t consider caring for a pet a job. I work less the 30 hrs a week so lots of time to care for your pets in your home Lots of exercise, stick to the routine already set up by the owner. I’m currently working from home so am available to care for and walk your pet and can either care for them in your home or in my home. I have two friendly dogs who are used to sharing. About: I've taken care of cats and dogs for family and friends since my teen years. I regularly care for my sisters Siberian Huskies, so I'm familiar with high energy pets! I also have an elderly cat of my own that I love dearly who I've had her entire life. I am currently only working a few side-hustles so my schedule is very flexible to meet your pet care needs. Let me know your pets regular schedule and my aim will be to keep things as consistent as I can for their comfort. My goal is to keep your pets on their regular schedule while you are away so that they are as comfortable as possible. About: Hi! I’m Meranda and as you’ve already guessed, I love dogs. While I want to adopt my own furry friend someday, for now I’d LOVE to take care of yours when you need it! Special needs pets are always welcome here! I have plenty of patience for anxious pups who need time to decompress after drop off to build trust, room in might house for crates/carrier kennels/etc for crate-trained dogs who feel safest in their own space, as well as elderly, blind, and deaf dogs. I grew up with my family’s dogs who both lived 16+ years, and were deaf and blind, and needed medication. I work weekdays from 8:30-5:00 but i have the flexibility to work from home most of the time, as well as a pet friendly office for when I absolutely have to go in! Trust me, my coworkers will be thrilled to have a cute dog there for the day! Currently, I can welcome 1 dog or 1 cat in my home at any time (strata limits us to 1 pet per household at any time, sorry!). I don’t have a private yard, but I have a fenced dog run shared by my neighbors and I, and plenty of green space around. Plus, if your pet is good with car rides, we can take a field trip to nearby parks for a change of scenery! My best friend and roommate Jen will also be around, she is always happy to have a cuddly new friend to watch tv with or keep her company while she writes! With both of us being chill homebodies, someone will always be there to be sure your BFF (best furry friend) is loved and taken care of 24/7 💕 Currently I work full time but with the flexibility to work from home. Generally I’m more of a homebody, we like to relax and have quiet weekends! I always appreciate a meet and greet before any sitting is booked. It not only helps build trust and relationship between myself and your pet, but also with pet parents. I make exceptions with stays that happen at my home, however please note I will not book overnight stays at a clients home without having met or prior or as a previous client

About: Lady was the first dog we had in our family (in the picture) and I had the opportunity to learn most of what I know through her. I was able to learn appropriate dog walking skills, routines for dogs, the importance of play and the impacts of going for longer walks in nature. I typically like to have the appropriate treats for dogs while on walks (depends on any known allergies) and always like have water or access to water with me to ensure hydration is being met after big runs! I’m always constantly ensuring their safety while out and mindful of where I am going. I’m currently working part-time and in school full-time at VIU; I am using this as an opportunity to get outside more; spend more time doing things that I love like going for nature walks and spending time with animals. For pet visits I hold the up most respect for your environment and how you would like me to interact in that with your pet; I have been a pet-sitter for my family and friends in the past and just always ask for exactly what you would like to see from me while there.

To me, pets are family, and I believe they deserve the same love, patience, and respect as any other family member. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and curious kittens to gentle senior cats and dogs, and I understand how each stage of life comes with unique needs. I also have experience with reactive dogs and truly understand how stressful it can feel to trust someone else with a pup who needs extra care, patience, and awareness. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and supportive environment where your pet feels secure and understood. With dogs, I have extensive experience in training, including agility, and I’m happy to reinforce any ongoing training routines you’re working on. While most of my experience has been caring for my own pets and those of close friends and family, I’m excited to expand my services and help more pet parents feel confident, supported, and worry-free while they’re away. I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. After work we’ll get a good walk in. They’ll have access to a large, fully fenced yard for safe potty breaks and outdoor time, along with a minimum of one walk daily. Off-leash adventures can also be offered for the right fit. I share my home with two cats and children, so any dog staying with us must be comfortable, gentle, and non-reactive in these environments. For everyone’s comfort and safety, trial meet-and-greets are required for all new boarding clients.

About: Hi! I'm a full-time cat mom of two wonderful kitties, Iggy & Hans. They make the rules around here, so unfortunately I can't get a dog right now, but that means I'm more than happy to watch your dog/pets in your home :) I grew up with 2 beautiful Newfoundlands and a Heinz variety, and I'm a huge animal lover. I have experience with young pups/senior dogs, and have some experience providing medication to both dogs and cats. I have the ability to work from home so I'd be with your pet the majority of the stay. This is great for pets who like their routines and thrive on a consistent schedule when it comes to feeding/walking/playtime etc. I've done sits for both active and low energy dogs, so I can adapt to their energy level:) As a cat mom who loves to travel internationally, I understand how stressful and hard it can be to trust someone with your home/pet and I'd be happy to provide as many updates and photos as you'd like :)

About: I have been around pets my whole life. From a cat in my teens to a Bernese mountain dog. I have always loved being around animals. I currently work remote.
