About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have cared for both dogs and cats throughout my life. More recently, while living on a farm, I looked after an Australian Shepherd and helped care for two kittens we rescued and raised until they grew into happy, independent cats. Although I’m not a professional trainer, I’m patient, attentive, and committed to following each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. Whether that’s sticking to feeding schedules, going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship, I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. My background in hospitality has taught me to be highly organized, dependable, and communicative. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your family member, so I’ll always treat your pets with kindness and respect while keeping you updated with messages and photos for extra peace of mind. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages and personalities, and I’m happy to follow any instructions you provide so your pet receives the same level of care they’re used to at home. I currently have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate weekdays, weekends, holidays, and many last-minute bookings. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s routine and your schedule. I believe pets are happiest when their routine stays as consistent as possible. I’ll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications (if needed), and any house rules your pet is used to. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language and personality, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and respected while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can have peace of mind.

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs for family and friends since my teen years. I regularly care for my sisters Siberian Huskies, so I'm familiar with high energy pets! I also have an elderly cat of my own that I love dearly who I've had her entire life. I am currently only working a few side-hustles so my schedule is very flexible to meet your pet care needs. Let me know your pets regular schedule and my aim will be to keep things as consistent as I can for their comfort. My goal is to keep your pets on their regular schedule while you are away so that they are as comfortable as possible. About: Animals have been my passion and career for over 10 years. My background includes working in dog daycares, veterinary medicine, and animal control, giving me experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. About: I have taken care of many different dogs, including border collies, havanese and husky mixes! I grew up doing dog trials with 10-11 border collies & have house and dog sat over 5 times (1 being for over 4 months). I am open to dogsits, dog walks and housesits as well as quick drop ins! I am very active and would love taking your dogs on walks/runs/hikes in my free time! I keep dogs on their schedule and make sure to keep their life as regular as possible as if their owner has never left. I make sure to get all the needed information: medications, food schedules & exercise routines before the owner leaves.

Currently I am not a dog owner but love to help out with my daughter’s dog “Honey” when she’s in town.(not often enough) I’ve worked in health care for 30 years. I can offer genuine, kind , compassionate, safe, fun care to your doggie while you’re away. I’m available any day of the week and can build my day around your dog’s routine and needs. I can accommodate early drop off times. I have a large fenced yard to keep your doggie safe when they decide to go outside. They would not be sharing the house or yard with any other animals.

Over the years, I’ve regularly taken friends’ dogs on hikes, especially when living in the Interior — everything from extra-large breeds to tiny minis. I’m confident handling different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always prioritize safety, patience, and positive experiences. We’re a pet-loving household, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I’m home during the work week, which means your pet will have plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. We have a large property with a fully fenced back yard for safe outdoor time, as well as access to local wooded trails and paved paths for walks and enrichment. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, drop-ins, and flexible scheduling, and I tailor activity levels based on each dog’s needs — whether that’s a calm stroll, trail walk, or extra outdoor time. About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. I’ll be available for pet care before and after class, and all day on weekends. :) As someone who has worked with pets of all kinds with varying medical and physical needs you can rest assured that I will have both the skills and knowledge to give your pet the absolute best care!

About: I am a huge dog lover! I have had dogs my whole life and am super comfortable around them. I've walked dogs on and off for the past 10 years, and I have had my own rescue pooch for 8 years now. I would be more than happy to walk/board your dog when I am available too :) I have a part time job working as a birth and postpartum doula. Needless to say, I am passionate about supporting families; and your furry friend is part of that family. I would love to fill my free time taking care of your pooch. My days can be inconsistent, but if it works with your needs, then count me in! I have a more gentle approach when taking care of dogs. With my dog being a rescue, I learned the importance of building trust and using a calm voice when training. I like to train using positive reinforcement with good treats.

About: Currently house/pet sitting on Vancouver Island. Mostly in Qualicum area. Only available for dog walks! I am the go to for many friends and family for pet sitting! I travel a lot which makes having a dog or cat of my own hard, so being able to care for my friends pets allows me to get that animal therapy I need! I’ve had their pets in my home, or I’ve stayed at their place to watch them if their pet feels more comfortable in their own home. I love going for walks, and spending as much time with them as I can :) I’ve had pets my entire life - dogs, ferrets, and Guinea pigs. But as of now we don’t have any pets. My husband and I stayed at an animal rescue in Colombia, and it was truly paradise to be surrounded by so many dogs and cats that just wanted to be loved! We also pet sat our entire year in New Zealand (using kiwi housesitters). Currently working casual a Clinic in Nanaimo, Nanaimo Hospital and West Coast General Hospital. Working close to full times hours with days off when my husband has his week off from his fly in fly out job in Alberta. Can do dog walks on weekends and in the evenings! Currently house sitting in Qualicum Lots of walks and play time provided! As long as I have all the instructions needed to care for your pet, your fur baby is in good hands! I treat each pet as if they were my own.

About: Growing up, I always had dogs and cats. When I moved to Nanaimo for school, I missed my pets so much that I started volunteering with ElderDog Nanaimo in 2022. I joined Rover three years ago, and it’s been an amazing journey! Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities: from confident, easygoing pups to those who need extra patience, trust, and understanding. I’ve loved getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I also completed my 208-hour criminology practicum with the BC SPCA, where I worked closely with dogs and cats, learning about their behaviour, backgrounds, and individual needs. I helped administer medication, provided daily care, and gave them the love and support they needed as they prepared to find their forever homes. Since June 2026, I am a VIU Criminology alumni! At the moment, I am away in Northwestern Ontario helping with wildfire operations, as a fire ranger. I look forward to resuming Rover bookings in October and caring for your pets again! About: Hi! I'm a full-time cat mom of two wonderful kitties, Iggy & Hans. They make the rules around here, so unfortunately I can't get a dog right now, but that means I'm more than happy to watch your dog/pets in your home :) I grew up with 2 beautiful Newfoundlands and a Heinz variety, and I'm a huge animal lover. I have experience with young pups/senior dogs, and have some experience providing medication to both dogs and cats. I have the ability to work from home so I'd be with your pet the majority of the stay. This is great for pets who like their routines and thrive on a consistent schedule when it comes to feeding/walking/playtime etc. I've done sits for both active and low energy dogs, so I can adapt to their energy level:) As a cat mom who loves to travel internationally, I understand how stressful and hard it can be to trust someone with your home/pet and I'd be happy to provide as many updates and photos as you'd like :)
