About: Lived on a farm, took care of a variety of pets from a young age. Cats, dogs, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. Previous rescue foster for dogs from puppy to senior care through BARS Animal rescue in Alberta. Have my own 6 year old rescue cat Puss Puss whom I recently built a catio for. Just finished doing 13 years in Healthcare, 8 of which were in EMS. Now semi-retired looking for opportunities to care for your fur babies :) Pretty open at the moment. Have reliable transportation to Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs Errington and Nanaimo. Can do mornings, afternoons, early evenings and weekends. For sitting, walks, car rides you name it. My beloved Puss Puss in an indoor kitty, however I built a catio for her so she can safely go outside. I won't be able to board pets, but will happily come to your home if you're going on vacation or need daily feeding and play time with your pets.

About: As a devoted dog owner, and a proud dog-Mommy of two well behaved and socially friendly Weimaraner girls. My daily routine is pretty much dog-orientated consisting of, but not limited to, long exploratory walks in the forest and mandatory mid-day naps for doggies to restore their energy before evening activities. Meal times are “by the clock”, as is bed time, to accommodate our creatures of habit who love a routine. I love all dog breeds and respect every pet’s unique character. I am trustworthy and reliable, and will always put your pet’s needs first. I have a lot of experience looking after friends and neighbours dogs in their absence, and will care for your fur kids as my own when you are away “fetching yummy food and treats” for your four legged babies...why else would you leave your pack behind ;))

About: Animals have been my passion and career for over 10 years. My background includes working in dog daycares, veterinary medicine, and animal control, giving me experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. As a stay-at-home mom, I'm home throughout the day and can provide plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I've welcomed many dogs into my home over the years and treat every pet like family. I currently have one dog and three cats, so my only requirement is that visiting dogs are social and comfortable around other animals. This allows me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day, ensuring your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. As a stay-at-home mom, I am home most of the day and can provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, medication administration if needed, and lots of attention. Dogs will have access to a safe, comfortable home environment and plenty of supervised interaction. I have one dog and three cats, so I only accept dogs that are social and comfortable around other animals. My goal is to make your pet feel relaxed, loved, and at home while you're away.

About: I am a huge dog lover! I have had dogs my whole life and am super comfortable around them. I've walked dogs on and off for the past 10 years, and I have had my own rescue pooch for 8 years now. I would be more than happy to walk/board your dog when I am available too :) I have a part time job working as a birth and postpartum doula. Needless to say, I am passionate about supporting families; and your furry friend is part of that family. I would love to fill my free time taking care of your pooch. My days can be inconsistent, but if it works with your needs, then count me in! I have a more gentle approach when taking care of dogs. With my dog being a rescue, I learned the importance of building trust and using a calm voice when training. I like to train using positive reinforcement with good treats.

About: I’m a past pet owner. I've recently looked after my sisters two small dogs for long weekends or a week at a time in BC while they were away. I’ve even looked after a relatives house, 2 Great Danes, 1 med sized dog and a few cats for a couple weeks when I was a kid with my elderly grandmother. Big responsibility! I’ve also looked after a neighbours cat for a couple weeks twice a day for feeds, daily cat litter cleaning, and music turned on and off with cuddle time. I’m bondable! I’ve volunteered and work for police forces over the years so no record etc. I believe animals have souls and need love and to be cared for. I’m willing to go to your home and water, feed and take your fur baby out for bathroom breaks and a cuddle. This will take a load off your mind as well as physically for your fur babies. I may not have years of getting paid and labelled as “professional” but I’m experienced when loving animals and using common sense to look after them and your home. Any questions, just ask. Cheers. I am a mortgage broker and can work from home. This gives me the flexibility to be with your pets mostly around the clock. Taking pets for walks and out door breaks when required. I will obliviously, learn and note what is needed as per the owner of the pet. I will make sure the pet feels loved and not alone while the owner is away. I will look after the residents as well. Pets are fed and watered in a timely manner and working with the owners schedule as required.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats as a child. As soon as I moved out to Canada, I got my own dog. My kids grew up with all kinds of animals in the house, the animals helped make my house a home. I’ve looked after friends and family pets most of my life and occasionally got paid for it. I took semi retirement early to enjoy life more and work less. I don’t consider caring for a pet a job. I work less the 30 hrs a week so lots of time to care for your pets in your home Lots of exercise, stick to the routine already set up by the owner. Lots of patience as the animal gets to know me and plenty of cuddles along the way. I have experience with seizures and epilepsy

About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. I’ll be available for pet care before and after class, and all day on weekends. :) As someone who has worked with pets of all kinds with varying medical and physical needs you can rest assured that I will have both the skills and knowledge to give your pet the absolute best care!
