About: I’ve taken care of my own two large dogs since I was a kid. Helping with their training, playtime, walks, and overall care. I have also managed to recognize and provide assistance to my one dog who struggles with separation anxiety. I’m a very helpful being who’s observant, and present with each pet. Caring for each one in the puppy stage, all the way to their senior stages. I currently have plenty of free time and would love to help people in the community in finding trusted pet care for their furry ones. I’m always open to discussing days outside of my preferred ones as well. I live in a more semi rural area, allowing for loads of open trails and beaches to walk my furry babies and enjoy their playtime. While keeping them on a feeding schedule, and generally taking them out for breaks on a schedule as well. However I also recognize the signs my dog gives for his different needs.

About: Lived on a farm, took care of a variety of pets from a young age. Cats, dogs, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. Previous rescue foster for dogs from puppy to senior care through BARS Animal rescue in Alberta. Have my own 6 year old rescue cat Puss Puss whom I recently built a catio for. Just finished doing 13 years in Healthcare, 8 of which were in EMS. Now semi-retired looking for opportunities to care for your fur babies :) Pretty open at the moment. Have reliable transportation to Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs Errington and Nanaimo. Can do mornings, afternoons, early evenings and weekends. For sitting, walks, car rides you name it. My beloved Puss Puss in an indoor kitty, however I built a catio for her so she can safely go outside. I won't be able to board pets, but will happily come to your home if you're going on vacation or need daily feeding and play time with your pets.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats as a child. As soon as I moved out to Canada, I got my own dog. My kids grew up with all kinds of animals in the house, the animals helped make my house a home. I’ve looked after friends and family pets most of my life and occasionally got paid for it. I took semi retirement early to enjoy life more and work less. I don’t consider caring for a pet a job. I work less the 30 hrs a week so lots of time to care for your pets in your home Lots of exercise, stick to the routine already set up by the owner. Lots of patience as the animal gets to know me and plenty of cuddles along the way. I have experience with seizures and epilepsy

About: I have been caring for pets of family and friends since I was a child and always put in the extra time for exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. I have successfully helped puppies complete puppy training and offer caring support to elderly animals and those with special medical needs. I do contract work and have a lot of time off so can be with your pets for extended amounts of time. I live in the forest close to a provincial park I visit regularly and can provide long nature walks for your dogs. While I currently don't have any of my own pets at this time, I will enthusiastically cherish the time I get to spend with yours!

About: Will care for your dog as if it was my own. Proficient in dog health, cues and behavioural indicators for optimal provision of needs. Believe in consistency from owner to care giver to maintain comfort. I am off work right now, taking time to reconnect work life so I’m just at home. When I am working, I work from home. Pets in my care, depending on home life, spend most of their time with me and come with me on any outings. Exercise is critical to evening rest. Depending on age, trips to dog parks and one long walk a day.

About: I have professional and personal experience with dogs, working in a professional setting with up to roughly 100 dogs daily (to many...please don't hire me to look after that many) as well as working with strays and rescues out of the country... Just lots of pet experience all around. I am professionally trained in dog and cat behavior, and studied wildlife biology. Not just a dog lover, I can handle all animals well, including exotics:). I am open for over night or a few hours or days. Any time is a good time. I can be flexible for whatever works I pay attention to the animal's behavior and needs rather than wants. Every dog is a new personality and they shouldn't all be handled the same way.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old, and have experience caring for multiple other animals as well. I care for dogs of all ages and am happy to accommodate any special needs your dog has :) I’m available to care for your pet on my days off from work, so my days are free and flexible for whatever they may need I believe treating your pet as I would my own, meeting your pet where they are at in their training, and sticking to their routine to keep them feeling safe and calm.

About: I’ve taken care of plenty of companions over the last 10 years from fish to horses your furry friends will be in great hands :) I currently work part time so I will have tons of time to play with your animals! Depending on days I will be available to schedule accordingly. While being in your space I find it makes your pet comfortable and relaxed, being easy to tend to their needs and goes for a smoothness transition

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. I treat animals with respect. I have little well train dog from Mexico. Learning to train her has given me more confidence to handle other dogs. I’ve foster dogs several times and loved it. Your dog will be loved well cared for ❤️ Walks are in the morning (7am-10:30) and after 3 pm. One hour long and with or without my dogs company. Depends of the preference of the other dog. I follow the instructions that the owners leave as each dog has its own routine and it’s important to keep them on that schedule. In order to make the dog feeling stable and safe.

About: I have been in the pet care business for over 10 years. From doggie walks to overnight stays. I understand what it takes to be a loving and responsible care giver as I have needed to have a person care for my pets when I'm away. We all need to feel the confidence when putting the trust into a person who will be caring for our family members. Communication is key with regular updates. I am semi retired and there are days where I will be away from the home for approx. 6 hours while caring for your pet. I am available for most days other than my time away. Only looking to book locally . Making sure I understand all the pet care details, having them written down to make sure all is being done correctly. Regular communication between the parties.

About: Perfect space for pets to come hang out. 1/2 acre beautiful yard with lots of cedar trees and racetrack. I am currently available fulltime. I am an automotive technician and build custom kitchens. I love to camp, fix, collect and repair projects. Raised with a dalmation my younger life. I can whisper all dogs so they are calm and happy. I love cats. Just me in a 5 bed 3 bath home after selling in Vancouver and moving to the Island. Im youngest of 5 kids with parents that are amazing! Dogs are always super happy to be here! They can explore the huge backyard any time! Im in this to spend more time with animals! I'm available full time to care for pets. Any work I do outside the home I limit too no more than 4 hours! I will bring pets along everywhere I go generally! Pets get the luxury of free roam in my home! They have a big fenced backyard to roam and play. As long there recall to come back inside when asked they get full privilege of going in and out as much as they want! After years of caring for animals I've learned so many safety strategies and precautions!

About: I am a nurse by day and dog walker & home sitter by night! Dogs have been a joyous part of my life for over a decade. I love to walk & hike and would love to have more canines to do so with! About: Hi there, my dog and best friend, Murphy, passed away in January, and I'm missing furry companionship and providing care. While I'm not ready for another dog of my own, I'd love to share my time and pet care skills temporarily, giving your dog a loving experience while you are away. I am experienced with all types of dogs and situations, and am able to take care of your furry family member in the way that best meets their needs. I understand separation anxiety, etc, and how difficult it can be to go away without them. I have a flexible schedule and, with enough notice, can plan to be with your dog 24/7 while you are away, so that they have constant companionship, exercise, and care. If my calendar doesn't quite have what you need dates-wise, just send me a message and I can often accommodate a bit before or after. With a pre-meet, I can learn what type of environment, activity, and care is best suited so that your dog's experience meets their needs and your expectations. Your peace of mind is my goal! I do ask for you to fill out a form about your pet's needs/personality prior to taking care of your beloved and at least 1 (ideally 2) meet and greets, so I can understand them better and ensure I'm a good match for their care:)
