About: I've taken care of cats and dogs for family and friends since my teen years. I regularly care for my sisters Siberian Huskies, so I'm familiar with high energy pets! I also have an elderly cat of my own that I love dearly who I've had her entire life. I am currently only working a few side-hustles so my schedule is very flexible to meet your pet care needs. Let me know your pets regular schedule and my aim will be to keep things as consistent as I can for their comfort. My goal is to keep your pets on their regular schedule while you are away so that they are as comfortable as possible. I am happy to provide regular updates and photos to keep you updated on how they are doing during my stay!

About: Will care for your dog as if it was my own. Proficient in dog health, cues and behavioural indicators for optimal provision of needs. Believe in consistency from owner to care giver to maintain comfort. Heading back to work! Primarily work from home and travel to headquarters for branch and divisional meetings. I currently work for the Ministry of Emergency Management. Pets in my care, depending on home life, spend most of their time with me and come with me on any outings. Exercise is critical to evening rest. Depending on age, trips to dog parks and one long walk a day.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I give each dog, I treat them like my own. Your pup Will enjoy 2 daily walks, optional runs around the lake and plenty of cuddles, playtime and personalized attention. I create a safe and happy environment tailored to your dog. Just lost my 15 year old boarder collie and looking to bring some puppy love back into the house. I work from home so I’m available throughout the day to give your dog attention, playtime and potty breaks. I have a fully fenced in yard, live across the street from the park and have the kids every other week. Kids are gentle and loving of dogs Fully fenced in yard, 2 walks a day or runs around Westwood if your dog likes to run. We are a very active outdoor family who enjoys down time and cuddles.

About: I have professional and personal experience with dogs, working in a professional setting with up to roughly 100 dogs daily (to many...please don't hire me to look after that many) as well as working with strays and rescues out of the country... Just lots of pet experience all around. I am professionally trained in dog and cat behavior, and studied wildlife biology. Not just a dog lover, I can handle all animals well, including exotics:). I am open for over night or a few hours or days. Any time is a good time. I can be flexible for whatever works I pay attention to the animal's behavior and needs rather than wants. Every dog is a new personality and they shouldn't all be handled the same way.

“I contacted Dorothy months ahead about a drop-in type visit while my husband and I were to be visiting Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, from California for a family wedding. I scheduled with Dorothy to come to our travel trailer in the Living Forest Campground and RV Park for the Meet n Greet to not only meet us, but how to get in our trailer, all about the dogs and their needs. Dorthy listened to all that was needed and then contacted me by text during the scheduled evening when we were gone to let us know she’d been there and handled everything. There were three dogs to walk in two trailers and Dorothy fed each one and took them for walks to get their business done; what a lifesaver she was so that we could be gone for an extended time and all was handled. I recommend Dorothy without hesitation and will use her again if we ever come back to Nanaimo.”

About: I've had a dog since I was seven and have gotten used to taking care of them throughout my life. I really enjoy going for long walks, so I'm always happy to come over and tire your dog out! I’d love to to take your dog for a hike or to the lake! I find it’s a great way to get outside for me and the pooch! I always make sure the gate is closed when pets are in the backyard, I always check to see if they have enough water and will adhere to your feeding schedule! As a pet owner, I value outdoor time for animals because I notice they're always happiest outside!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. I treat animals with respect. I have little well train dog from Mexico. Learning to train her has given me more confidence to handle other dogs. I’ve foster dogs several times and loved it. Your dog will be loved well cared for ❤️ Walks are in the morning (7am-10:30) and after 3 pm. One hour long and with or without my dogs company. Depends of the preference of the other dog. I follow the instructions that the owners leave as each dog has its own routine and it’s important to keep them on that schedule. In order to make the dog feeling stable and safe.

About: I have been around pets my whole life. From a cat in my teens to a Bernese mountain dog. I have always loved being around animals. I currently work remote. I know schedules can be crazy and emergencies happen. That Is why I am making myself available anytime to play with your pets! It's all about them. I believe in coming in with great energy but not coming in too strong. I will make sure to fully understand your pet so they feel safe with me.

About: I have been a pet parent since I was a wee lass, owned mostly dogs and cats but I've also had rabbits, birds, fish and lizards. I have experience with all ages of animals and I used to foster and help train groups of puppies for a rescue agency. I work from home with a flexible schedule so I can be available daytime and evenings as needed. I am also available for overnight stays. I offer drop in care service or a full overnight house sit as needed. I will treat your pet like my own with lots of love!

About: I've always loved animals. I have a psych degree, and learning about positive re-enforcement and and training pets to do tricks is my favourite thing. I'm self employed so my schedule is flexible. I am also nomadic, so I'm happy to travel to a new place to care for a pet, and be somewhere new I take time to get to know each animal, their wants and needs, and most importantly, their personalities. My goal is to make any separation from their persons as easy as possible

About: Long time dog owner, I specialize in senior animals. I fully beleive in letting dogs sniff areas as much as they need, it's stimulating to them. I am self employed and living on Saturna Island. I live, work and travel with my best friend Raygan. We live off grid and raise our own meat birds, eggs and veggies.
