About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I have experience with puppies and basic training, as well as supporting senior dogs with more complex care such as feeding routines, supplements and medication schedules. Dogs have always been part of my life, and today our own dog is a cherished member of our family and my son’s best friend. I understand how much your dog means to you, and I treat every pup in my care as if they were my own. I’m active and love spending time outdoors, so daily walks are something I genuinely enjoy, rain or shine. I offer walks ranging from 15 to 60 minutes and tailor each outing to suit your dog’s breed, age, and energy level, ensuring they get the exercise and attention they need. I provide dependable drop-in visits for potty breaks, feeding, and playtime, perfect for busy workdays or when you’re away. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Services are available both weekdays and weekends. I take your dog's safety, comfort, and well being very seriously. During walks and visits, I closely monitor their behaviour, energy levels, and surroundings to ensure they are safe, happy, and stress-free. For your peace of mind, I’m happy to send photos and text updates during our time together. I also welcome a meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your dog can feel completely comfortable and confident in my care.

“So happy that I found Rhaya to look after my cats while I was away on vacation! One is 18 and requires his meds and like a pro she made sure he got them. He also took quite the liking to her;) The other is very shy, an indoor/outdoor and she somehow managed to get her to come around to eat. Very rare with people she doesn't know! Upon meeting Rhaya I knew right away that she could be totally trusted and that my cats would be in the best hands. I had no hesitation in just leaving a key for her and it was so nice to get a quick message update daily after each visit. About: I have owned one dog and a few cats over the years. Currently, i have no pets as we had to put our dogs of 18 years down last year. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs. I am available most days and am comfortable walking your dog in any weather condition. I am a reliable person who always follows through with her commitments and goes above and beyond. I also have a lot of experience with cats as I had them all of my life growing up. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, dietary restrictions, etc. I look forward to working with your fur baby. I work from home so I am able to let dogs outside in our fenced dog run whenever needed if boarding with me. I can also come to your house to pick up for walks I have two fenced in dog runs on the property and a big side yard (unfenced). I am able to take your dog to a number of trails and parks. We also have a large unfinished basement where my office is located so I spend most of my time there during the day

About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. “I contacted Dorothy months ahead about a drop-in type visit while my husband and I were to be visiting Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, from California for a family wedding. I scheduled with Dorothy to come to our travel trailer in the Living Forest Campground and RV Park for the Meet n Greet to not only meet us, but how to get in our trailer, all about the dogs and their needs. Dorthy listened to all that was needed and then contacted me by text during the scheduled evening when we were gone to let us know she’d been there and handled everything. There were three dogs to walk in two trailers and Dorothy fed each one and took them for walks to get their business done; what a lifesaver she was so that we could be gone for an extended time and all was handled. I recommend Dorothy without hesitation and will use her again if we ever come back to Nanaimo.”

About: Currently house/pet sitting on Vancouver Island. Mostly in Qualicum area. Only available for dog walks! I am the go to for many friends and family for pet sitting! I travel a lot which makes having a dog or cat of my own hard, so being able to care for my friends pets allows me to get that animal therapy I need! I’ve had their pets in my home, or I’ve stayed at their place to watch them if their pet feels more comfortable in their own home. I love going for walks, and spending as much time with them as I can :) I’ve had pets my entire life - dogs, ferrets, and Guinea pigs. But as of now we don’t have any pets. My husband and I stayed at an animal rescue in Colombia, and it was truly paradise to be surrounded by so many dogs and cats that just wanted to be loved! We also pet sat our entire year in New Zealand (using kiwi housesitters). Currently working casual a Clinic in Nanaimo, Nanaimo Hospital and West Coast General Hospital. Working close to full times hours with days off when my husband has his week off from his fly in fly out job in Alberta. Can do dog walks on weekends and in the evenings! Currently house sitting in Qualicum Lots of walks and play time provided! As long as I have all the instructions needed to care for your pet, your fur baby is in good hands! I treat each pet as if they were my own.

About: I have had a dog my entire life, most recently my boy Tas who I had for 11 great years. I love animals and will treat them with care and respect. I work a set schedule and look after pets on my days off. I have my own space with no other animals. They will be alone for minimal time in my care. I have a fenced yard, one small dog lives upstairs, who is very friendly. We have a forested area with trails where I will walk your pup.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. I treat animals with respect. I have little well train dog from Mexico. Learning to train her has given me more confidence to handle other dogs. I’ve foster dogs several times and loved it. Your dog will be loved well cared for ❤️ Walks are in the morning (7am-10:30) and after 3 pm. One hour long and with or without my dogs company. Depends of the preference of the other dog. I follow the instructions that the owners leave as each dog has its own routine and it’s important to keep them on that schedule. In order to make the dog feeling stable and safe.
