About: Over the past several years, I have looked after home and petals for family and friends, caring for daily routines and walks to overnight stays. I'm currently completely my masters and working part time. Recently moved back to the Comox Valley. My time currently is pretty flexible. Excited to help. Happy to take your dog for a walk, or looked after your house and pets while you are away. Excited to work with you and your pets.

About: I have had a dog my entire life, most recently my boy Tas who I had for 11 great years. I love animals and will treat them with care and respect. I work a set schedule and look after pets on my days off. I have my own space with no other animals. They will be alone for minimal time in my care. I have a fenced yard, one small dog lives upstairs, who is very friendly. We have a forested area with trails where I will walk your pup.

About: Animals are wonderful beings! They have a way of reminding us to slow down, be present and get outside. *Offering pet care in your home, I'm not available to host pets atm. Having been without pets for quite a number of years, I am missing their presence in my life. I grew up with poodles, springer spaniels and terriers. I had two cats of my own (Ruth and Monica) for 17 yrs and loved them dearly. I live in the Comox Valley, so Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Campbell River and nearby communities work well. I love having access to nature (forest hikes and lakes and the ocean.) I'm a devoted, reliable, dedicated animal lover and I take pride in doing any project to the best of my ability. I have a care-giver background, having worked in dental health and as a yoga teacher for many years. I have a solid green-thumb and can tend to some garden care. I love building connections with people & animals. I am 'trauma-informed' and am familiar with 'Force Free' training principles. I'm comfortable with older pets and giving some meds as needed also. I really appreciate dogs with some formal training and can take care of dogs up to 70 pounds. I've recently received a refresher with chicken coop care. “I contacted Dorothy months ahead about a drop-in type visit while my husband and I were to be visiting Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, from California for a family wedding. I scheduled with Dorothy to come to our travel trailer in the Living Forest Campground and RV Park for the Meet n Greet to not only meet us, but how to get in our trailer, all about the dogs and their needs. Dorthy listened to all that was needed and then contacted me by text during the scheduled evening when we were gone to let us know she’d been there and handled everything. There were three dogs to walk in two trailers and Dorothy fed each one and took them for walks to get their business done; what a lifesaver she was so that we could be gone for an extended time and all was handled. I recommend Dorothy without hesitation and will use her again if we ever come back to Nanaimo.”
