Felt peace of mind and loved receiving the pictures Susan sent of Minnie playing with Lily and on their walks. I know I've found my place to leave my wee doggy if ever I need. I know Minnie enjoyed her time there with Susan and Lily and am happy to have found Susan. 🥰”

About: I love dogs and animals and miss having them in my life. I grew up in Calgary with a border collie named Bowser and we went on many adventures such as hiking and exploring. I have looked after friends pets and have begun volunteering with MARS wildlife rescue and would like to be more involved in the community here in the Valley. I am able to walk pets at least twice a day or come and look after your pet at their home. About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

About: I’ve taken care of Animals my entire life. We’ve had dogs and cats, goats and chickens. Rabbits and hamsters. We have a very flexible schedule. We are very nurturing and just love animals I have a Very flexible schedule. So fitting in pet care into my daily and weekly routine, can be made a top priority. I can work around your schedule. I have a fenced yard in our home. So lots of outside time. Daily walks or multiple times a day. I can trim nails if needed. Or bathing and grooming. I can administer medication if needed. Please just let me know what your needs are, and I can accommodate.

“Chelsea looked after Sunny for 6 nights while away for our wedding. Sunny is a 13 year old lab with 3 legs and I was super nervous leaving her with anyone, but she was so happy with Chelsea. She was well loved and cared for, I even got pictures along with very nice notes. She even washed everything before we picked Sunny up. I would 100% recommend Chelsea to look after your beloved pupper or puppers.”

About: Had dogs all my life and trained and rehabilitated my 15 year old border collie. Recently said good bye to both family dogs. Experience with puppies, senior dogs, unique dog medical needs, and nervous dispositions. I work full time from home, can offer daily dog walks, very active family life on the weekend. Dogs can come along for any and all the adventures where appropriate. Biking, hiking, beach plays, trail runs. Back yard not fenced, very friendly German Shepard shares the yard. Steps away from the beach so many strolls for sniffs and pee breaks. One very excited toddler to pet and play. Has learned to be gentle with dogs.

About: I started taking care of dogs when I was 12, helping with walks and training for my own dog in Italy, where I’m from. Being around dogs has always been a part of my life. Over the years, I also dog sat for friends and family, caring for different breeds and keeping up with their usual routines. After moving to Canada, I felt like something was missing and that’s when I decided to get my own dog here. That experience taught me even more about responsibility and the joy of having a dog in your life. I’m comfortable with daily walks, basic training, feeding schedules, and making sure each dog feels relaxed and well cared for. I’m responsible, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I have a very flexible work schedule and am available for walks every day from 4 to 8 PM, as well as early morning and lunchtime walks. I also have more time on weekends, making it easy to fit in longer walks or extra playtime. I’m very respectful of each owner’s training style and home rules. At my place, I have a 2-year-old, 15-pound Havapoo who loves to play and will happily keep your pup company.
