“Susan was great with my fur baby. I was in and out of service a good portion of the weekend, but every now and then I would get updates on how my Pooch was doing with photos. In addition, she had the service of pickup and drop off, which was extremely helpful for me as I was tied up helping with the wedding. Previously, my only option had been taking Sitka to a boarding kennel. Every time it would be about a week of her coming down from all the stress and anxiety of being around all the barking misbehaved dogs. Typically would come back with some kind of stomach indigestion. The important thing, is that she needs medication twice a day, and with the boarding kennel I really wondered how consistent the medication administration was. I can see why Susan has five star reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to contact her again. Thank you again for taking care of my fur baby. -Ty”

They suggested a meet and greet walk before hand so that they (including their dog Luca) and our dog could meet and play in a neutral area before dropping Trouble off at their home. Kelly sent us daily updates including photos and videos of how Trouble was doing (which she had settled in minutes of us dropping her off!) They went on multiple hikes/adventures and ensured that she got plenty of exercise and love. The two pups (our dog and theirs) got along so well we were worried Trouble wouldn’t want to leave lol! About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We now live in Cumberland and love taking care of your dogs whenever we can. We live on a 0.3acre greatly fenced property and love having extra friends around to take on adventures or play fetch and be cozy at home. Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian works from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.
About: I have been a dog owner for over 15 years! Many of my friends and family members have me watch their pets when they are away, especially since my dog Bucky and I are always out and about. About: I have taken care of animals as small as cats and Shih Tzus all the way up to Irish Wolfhounds and horses! No animal is too big or small! (Excluding boarding since I can’t exactly bring a horse into my apartment haha) I am currently working part time so I can likely find time to fit in the pup. I am quite flexible and the animals come first! At my home the puppers would have 2-3 walks per day and potty breaks every 2-4 hours depending on the pup!
