About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

About: I love dogs and animals and miss having them in my life. I grew up in Calgary with a border collie named Bowser and we went on many adventures such as hiking and exploring. I have looked after friends pets and have begun volunteering with MARS wildlife rescue and would like to be more involved in the community here in the Valley. I am able to walk pets at least twice a day or come and look after your pet at their home. I am a responsible individual who takes pride in being on time and detail oriented with strong active listening skills. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I am currently working online in a masters program so I am home full time and can look after any of your pets needs anytime. I have an unfenced yard with a big property to let your pet play. There is also the beach close by and lots of trails to go running on.

About: I’ve taken care of Animals my entire life. We’ve had dogs and cats, goats and chickens. Rabbits and hamsters. We have a very flexible schedule. We are very nurturing and just love animals I have a Very flexible schedule. So fitting in pet care into my daily and weekly routine, can be made a top priority. I can work around your schedule. I have a fenced yard in our home. So lots of outside time. Daily walks or multiple times a day. I can trim nails if needed. Or bathing and grooming. I can administer medication if needed. About: I have owned and cared for animals my entire life. I have owned my own dogs for the last 17 years. My dogs have always been family members to me and are included in everything I do. I have experience administering medications, supplements and dealing with senior pooches in the past. I have cared for many family, friends and acquaintances pets over the years, including multiple at one time. I currently am at home and available 7 days per week. My husband works full time and is off on weekends. I love to go on daily walks (often multiple) and am always up for weekend adventures at the lake, beach or in the forest with whatever furry friends I have tagging along. I have a fully fenced 1 acre property located in the Alberni Valley, about 15 minutes drive from town. I love walking the many nature trails in our area with my dog. Aside from a daily walk or two, weather dependant, you will typically find us outside on the property, gardening or just relaxing. I understand the importance of meeting the specific needs of certain dog breeds, both physical and mental, as I have a Border Collie who requires a fair amount of stimulation (if ya know, ya know). My home is spacious and well set up for doggies to enjoy both outside and indoors. No couch is off limits for the pups! My girl Millie is very well socialized and loves meeting new doggies of all shapes and sizes. Her many doggie friends will tell you she is very calm and well mannered. I do have free range chickens on our property, but haven’t had any issues with proper introduction and supervision, even with dogs who have never been around them before. I would care for your pup as if it were my own and ensure they had nothing but the best time during their stay! They may not even want to leave!

I work from home so am free to take care of your pups all day long. Late pick up and early drop offs are welcome by request. Boarding rates apply to 8am drop-off and 8am pick the following day (24 hours) $100 Daycare rates apply to 8am drop off and 6pm pick up (10 hours) $63 Additional hours for early drop-off (before 8am) and late pick-up (after 6pm) is $12/ hour Please note: The 20% Rover fee for hosts is included in these rates. Rover charges guests an additional 11% at check out. Dogs stay comfortably in my home, couch time included! They’ll have fresh water and meals (provided by their owner) throughout their stay. Treats and poop bags are always on hand. Pups can enjoy a home-like environment with qualified supervision. The front yard is fully fenced for play time and potty breaks.

About: I started taking care of dogs when I was 12, helping with walks and training for my own dog in Italy, where I’m from. Being around dogs has always been a part of my life. Over the years, I also dog sat for friends and family, caring for different breeds and keeping up with their usual routines. After moving to Canada, I felt like something was missing and that’s when I decided to get my own dog here. That experience taught me even more about responsibility and the joy of having a dog in your life. I’m comfortable with daily walks, basic training, feeding schedules, and making sure each dog feels relaxed and well cared for. I’m responsible, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I have a very flexible work schedule and am available for walks every day from 4 to 8 PM, as well as early morning and lunchtime walks. I also have more time on weekends, making it easy to fit in longer walks or extra playtime. I’m very respectful of each owner’s training style and home rules. At my place, I have a 2-year-old, 15-pound Havapoo who loves to play and will happily keep your pup company.
