House Sitting Hilliers

About: Lived on a farm, took care of a variety of pets from a young age. Cats, dogs, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. Previous rescue foster for dogs from puppy to senior care through BARS Animal rescue in Alberta. Have my own 6 year old rescue cat Puss Puss whom I recently built a catio for. Just finished doing 13 years in Healthcare, 8 of which were in EMS. Now semi-retired looking for opportunities to care for your fur babies :) Pretty open at the moment. Have reliable transportation to Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs Errington and Nanaimo. Can do mornings, afternoons, early evenings and weekends. For sitting, walks, car rides you name it. My beloved Puss Puss in an indoor kitty, however I built a catio for her so she can safely go outside. I won't be able to board pets, but will happily come to your home if you're going on vacation or need daily feeding and play time with your pets.

About: I have previously lived with 4 large dogs! And loved every minute of it. During this time I helped raise two puppies and took all 4 for frequent walks. I am available on Saturday and Sunday full time. Otherwise for week days I am available from the morning until 4 pm as I work evenings. I am an expert at building relationships with other peoples dogs! I love to play with them, take for walks or even just cuddle with them on the sofa I am also willing to do whatever necessary to keep them safe

“At first we were nervous to let someone we don't know stay at our home, but Kylee arranged to meet us a few days earlier to introduce herself, which put all of the uncertainty aside. She is friendly, courteous, and I had no doubt she would take good care of Josie, Jenny and Thandi...and of course our home. To look after 3 dogs, one still a pup, is a tall order, but Kylee was a real trooper and did an amazing job! She communicated well and kept up us up to speed with how they were doing during our trip. Thank you for leaving the house clean and tidy. We will certainly make use of your services again :-)”

About: I grew up with dogs and had them in my life since I was 8 years old. The world is just a better place with animals in it. I am just getting my business of the ground and have time during the week to look after your furry family members. My hours are flexible and if I have to pick my kids up from school, dance etc, I can always take your furry friend with me, my girls love animals. We have a big fenced backyard at our house and I also love to go out on hikes, the dog parc or the lake or ocean if your dogs like to swim or paddle board.

The only reason I didnt give 5 out of 5 was rhat my shy rescue proved a little too stubborn about not going for walks and I wished Leah had asked more questions about that...but as this was our first housesit and spending time with these 2 big dogs. LEAH was awesome.”

About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. I’ll be available for pet care before and after class, and all day on weekends. :) As someone who has worked with pets of all kinds with varying medical and physical needs you can rest assured that I will have both the skills and knowledge to give your pet the absolute best care!
