About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and the energy they bring. I especially enjoy getting out for walks, and having a dog as a companion makes that time even better. It’s honestly one of my favorite ways to spend a day. I’m fairly new to the world of dog walking and sitting, most of my experience coming in the last 4 years. I may be newer, but that doesn’t mean I lack the necessary experience. I’ve worked with different temperaments and ages, from high-energy dogs to older ones that need a slower, more gentle pace. I’m comfortable following routines, including walks, feeding schedules, and any specific care instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and I want you to feel like you’re leaving your dog with someone who has as much love to give as you do. I am working part-time, I’m currently doing evening bartending shifts, so I will be available nearly all hours of the early day and 3-4 days a week I will be available in the evenings as well, usually varies what days:) Providing a safe and comfortable environment is always my top priority. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and low-stress. I’m attentive during walks, mindful of surroundings, and careful to follow any instructions around feeding, medications, or behaviour. At the same time, I make sure each pet gets the kind of care and attention that suits them best. Whether that’s a slower, relaxed pace for a senior dog or more active walks and playtime for a high-energy pup, I adjust to what keeps them happy and comfortable. My goal is to create a balanced environment where your pet feels secure, well cared for, and genuinely enjoys their time while you’re away. About: I have almost always had a pet throughout my life. Cats mainly but in more recent years I have been caring for both dogs and cats both through private house sitting (friends & family) and through the Trusted Housesitters app (Happy to share my reviews from there). I work remotely so I am often in the home a lot so that animals will get a lot of attention! Lots of cuddles and play time! I am very active so I love taking dogs for walks and hikes (depending on what the dog likes and is able to do). I am not super strong though, so I will say that if you have a large dog that isn't leash trained please don't request me (I've had an incident with a larger dog that wasn't great on leash and I just wasn't strong enough to control her). As a previous long time pet owner I know how tough it can be to put trust in another person to love your animals as much as you do. I like to ensure I'm giving the pet as much attention, love and care as their owners would. And also provide reassurance and lots of updates to the pet owners while they are away. I am self employed and work remotely so my schedule is very flexible to accommodate pet care. If I am house sitting, the pets get extra attention as I can give them attention while working and on my breaks. :) I travel and house sit full time so I am only able to take care of your pet at your home. When I am not traveling I generally am in the Comox Valley but I have a vehicle so I'm able to pet sit around Vancouver Island. I will take great care of your pets, home, and plants if needed! You'll return home to a nice clean home.
