We did a couple of meet and greets and dog walks prior to the house sitting so that my dog could get to know her. She did a great job of working at my dog’s pace to get comfortable with her presence. She didn’t push her past her comfort zone and made every effort for my dog to be comfortable while I was away. About: I’ve had pets all through out my life. I am very accommodating and have the most patience when it comes to animals. I love training, and am very familiar with the puppy phase, i’m a pro at midnight potty breaks. If your pet has any routines or weird quirks they enjoy, I love to provide! I currently volunteer at a local shelter and am starting a part time position in April, so I am very available right now, and will be flexible working around my schedule when the time comes. I love positive reinforcement, I don’t believe any animal being submissive or fearful is the goal, respect goes both ways. I have cared for family and friend’s animals while they’re away, and have house-sat for locals who had multiple dogs, cats and chickens! I work at the hospital, typically 8-4pm on weekdays (the odd weekend also), so my visits are largely available for evenings, but am also open to mornings or lunch-time depending on how far away you are. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Kolbi and Andrew—they took such incredible care of our senior dachshund, Glen, while we were away. At 15 years old he needs a little extra patience and love, and they gave him both in abundance, keeping us updated and making sure he felt comfortable and cared for. The biggest testament, though, was when Kolbi left—Glen stood at the door watching after her, already missing them! It’s rare to find people who connect so deeply with your pet, and we’re so grateful for the peace of mind they gave us. Highly recommend!
