About: I have almost always had a pet throughout my life. Cats mainly but in more recent years I have been caring for both dogs and cats both through private house sitting (friends & family) and through the Trusted Housesitters app (Happy to share my reviews from there). I work remotely so I am often in the home a lot so that animals will get a lot of attention! Lots of cuddles and play time! I am very active so I love taking dogs for walks and hikes (depending on what the dog likes and is able to do). I am not super strong though, so I will say that if you have a large dog that isn't leash trained please don't request me (I've had an incident with a larger dog that wasn't great on leash and I just wasn't strong enough to control her). As a previous long time pet owner I know how tough it can be to put trust in another person to love your animals as much as you do. I like to ensure I'm giving the pet as much attention, love and care as their owners would. And also provide reassurance and lots of updates to the pet owners while they are away. I am self employed and work remotely so my schedule is very flexible to accommodate pet care. If I am house sitting, the pets get extra attention as I can give them attention while working and on my breaks. :) I travel and house sit full time so I am only able to take care of your pet at your home. When I am not traveling I generally am in the Comox Valley but I have a vehicle so I'm able to pet sit around Vancouver Island. I will take great care of your pets, home, and plants if needed! You'll return home to a nice clean home.

She followed our pets' routine, kept in communication with us while we were away, and we came home to a happy and relaxed dog and cat. Our cat requires daily meds which were administered with no problems. The house was well looked after and their sheets and towels were washed when we got home. Our dog was well exercised with long walks including a trip to the beach, and he was sorry to see them go. About: I started taking care of dogs when I was 12, helping with walks and training for my own dog in Italy, where I’m from. Being around dogs has always been a part of my life. Over the years, I also dog sat for friends and family, caring for different breeds and keeping up with their usual routines. After moving to Canada, I felt like something was missing and that’s when I decided to get my own dog here. That experience taught me even more about responsibility and the joy of having a dog in your life. I’m comfortable with daily walks, basic training, feeding schedules, and making sure each dog feels relaxed and well cared for. I’m responsible, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I have a very flexible work schedule and am available for walks every day from 4 to 8 PM, as well as early morning and lunchtime walks. I also have more time on weekends, making it easy to fit in longer walks or extra playtime. I’m very respectful of each owner’s training style and home rules. At my place, I have a 2-year-old, 15-pound Havapoo who loves to play and will happily keep your pup company.

“Sarah was very communicative and considerate with the needs of our dogs. She was also really accommodating when it came to meeting us beforehand a couple of times (both to make sure she was comfortable and the dogs). She left our apartment in the same condition in which we left it, the dogs were calm and comfortable upon our return.
