“Paige is awesome :) she sent us daily updates and pics/vids of our dog and cat and was very easy to reach. Our German Shepherd and cat were happy and tired when we got home!”

“Isabella was fantastic. We had never used Rover before, so didn't know what to expect. We feel very lucky to have had Isabella house and dog sit for us. The dog was happy and tired - she even took the dog for a long hike - and our house was immaculate when we arrived home. She is a star!”

“Rebecca and Nick are fantastic pet and house sitters. They took care of our two dogs, our two cats and 6 chickens, while house sitting for us when we were on vacation. They took great care of pets and sent us frequent updates and pictures, which is always so nice to receive. They took great care of our house as well and everything was clean and tidy when we got home. They were flexible in timing and location for the original meet and greet, and even made time to do a thorough walk around the house with us, twice. I highly recommend these pet and house sitters and I look forward to hiring them again.”

“Vicky did a fantastic job with our dog. His first time away from us and I’m quite sure he didn’t notice we were gone! Vicky sent pictures and updates, which definitely gave us peace of mind. We will certainly ask her again.”

“Michelle and Beau spent another week in our home caring for our 2 St Bernards, and we were again SO impressed. Our oldest had some gastrointestinal issues come up just as we were leaving, but we were able to maintain frequent communication to work through it together. We worked out plans for a potential vet visit (which ended up not being needed in the end) and my husband and I felt completely comfortable trusting their judgements when it came to deciding how to proceed. Our girls were definitely spoiled with love and we wouldn't hesitate to book with Michelle and Beau again.”

“Rianne was my first experience with rover and I would definitely be using her when I'm away again! I got daily updates and pictures of my pups. They had a great time and got along famously with her dog :) would reccomend to anyone needing an in home sitter !”

About: Hello, I’ve taken care of animals my entire life including barnyard folk! From cats to dogs to bunnies to horses, all are welcome! No reptiles please. I work 7:30-4 Monday to Friday. Flexible outside of those hours. Happy to stop twice a day if taking care at your place. Happy to walk in all weather except minus degrees! I currently do not have any pets in my home, but am beginning the process of being a certified foster home for CR PAWS to do my part.

About: Growing up with 4 dogs at one time made me an excellent care taker. Now that we have our own home, we want all the puppies to enjoy their time like mine did growing up! We are super outdoorsy and love to take the dogs on walks after work and weekends. We have jobs that we’re able to work from home most of the time or are able to at least drop in for potty breaks every few hours and make sure the dogs are happy! We have a fenced yard and deck that my own dog loves to hangout all day in. We have a crate available if needed as well. Please note we have recently moved into a home that we will not be able to take dogs in at the time while we build our new home in Black Creek. We will accept clients again in our home once that is complete and in the mean time would be happy to house sit, drop in or walk your pets. :) The best thing about us is there’s two of us! We both work full time but are very flexible with being able to work from home or step out of the office to let the dogs out. We have a fully fenced yard that Tucker would be very eager to share with. Tucker loves meeting friends but has a great sense of knowing when one another needs a rest. We are also able to crate if needed.

About: After 14 years of caring for my yellow lab Jack, I fell in love with dogs. Due to Jack crossing the rainbow bridge recently; I'm looking to get my "dog fix" while helping other members of the community! About me...I'm a fairly active person, I love to go on runs and challenging hikes. However, I easily adapt for the dog's needs. Just a chill walk by the lake? Totally cool. Running the trails of the Alberni Inlet Trail? Count me in. Don't have time to walk your dog after a long day at work? I'll be there! I'm hoping you value your pet's safety, wellbeing and happiness as much as I do, because your dog deserves it all. Looking forward to hear from you soon! Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine as I work from home full-time in Campbell River, allowing me to be flexible and available throughout the day. While I have an additional job on some weekday evenings, I can easily work around it to meet your pet’s needs. With enough notice, I’ll do my best to accommodate any schedule or special requests! In my home, it’s a relaxed environment with an indoor cat who mostly keeps to herself, ensuring visiting pets have a peaceful stay. When caring for pets at your home, I always prioritize their comfort and well-being, and I make sure to leave your space clean and tidy. My goal is to make sure pets feel at home, whether they’re with me or in their own familiar surroundings.

“We just had Jana stay at our house and look after our dog, Jett, for 10 days. She sent photos of him daily so we could see the fun they were up to! Came home to a happy dog and a clean house! Would highly recommend! However, I get first dibs!”

“Rebecca is awesome! All our neighbours commented on how often they saw Rebecca out for walks with the dogs during the day and how friendly and engaging she was. The house was very clean on our return. We highly recommend Rebecca.”

About: I am a young professional who isn’t able to have dogs in my apartment but would love to help you with yours! I can offer full service house sitting, whether you have pets or not. I will also ensure that while your pets are in my care all their needs are met and they get all the attention and love they will need while you are away. I will check in with you as often as you need and am flexible to make changes to what you and your animals need. I have grown up with dogs my entire life, different breeds and ages! I will do whatever is needed to make sure you feel safe and comfortable leaving your animals with me. I look forward to meeting them!

“Matthew and his wife Emma-Kate were a joy to meet. He unfortunately had to go away for work but she was available and did an incredible job looking after our special needs dog. Emma-Kate understood our routine immediately, was respectful of our boundaries and communicated with us through our trip which eased our minds. It’s clear that they both have a strong love for animals. They have a calm, understanding energy and I highly recommend them for your pet and your home. 12/10 for Matthew and Emma-Kate!”

“Colleen is an amazing dog sitter who looked after our pup, Clover, so well. We hope she will come back and look after her again. An added bonus was coming home to a house that has never been so clean! Thank you so much. It was great to go away and not worry about Clover at all, and we loved the photo updates!”

About: As an experienced dog owner and trainer, I bring a deep understanding of canine behaviour and individual needs. My volunteer work with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program at the hospital reflects my commitment to nurturing dogs and creating positive environments. Whether it’s training a playful puppy, providing gentle care for seniors, or tailoring activities to your dog’s unique personality, I offer expertise and compassion that set me apart. Your dog’s happiness, safety, and well-being are my top priorities! I work from home so I am flexible to care for your pet. My own dog gets lots of exercise but I am also flexible if it is a senior dog or puppy, thus needing less exercise. I live on a beautiful rural property. I have over 30 acres of property to roam with your pooch and many natural areas and beaches near by. I can crate your dog if needed. I can do both high activity or low activity dogs, mine loves both.

“Gammy did a great job with our two cats and two dogs! Very professional and experienced and a good communicator. Our pets were happy and well taken care of - a big component for our peace of mind while travelling!”

About: My experience with pet care spans back to my childhood with two dogs. Pets tend to like me as I have gentle energy. Friends and family count on me to care for their fur babies while they vacation or even in one case for a lengthy hospital stay. I am comfortable with commands and recall techniques as well as medications and special needs. I am currently on the East Coast of Canada (February 2025) but plan to be on the West Coast from March or April through the summer. My routine is very flexible as I am in school completing an online degree. I am available for pet sitting in the Greater Vancouver Area, Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. I am very cautious in pet owner’s homes. Making sure to close gates, not leave food unattended and mindful of other hazards. I am very clean and considerate.

About: My pet care experience comes from caring for my own dog, so sitting is a new experience for me. I am currently unemployed though so I have a lot of time to take care of the dogs of others :) Right now I'm unemployed so I'm able to walk or sit dogs 24/7/365 at least until I get a job. If my availability changes I will update my profile accordingly. I am a very kind and gentle dude so I'm looking forward to meeting other's fur-babies! At the moment my dog is staying with my ex so I don't have any tailored amenities but will follow any owner's instructions to a T.

“Bailey looked after my two pugs for the weekend. It was our first time meeting him. Bailey was incredibly patient, kind and empathetic especially with one of my pugs who is a rescue, was badly abused in the past and is afraid of and mistrusting of people other than her family. She barks a lot at anyone who comes in the house and is not reliably housetrained. She’s pretty high maintenance and has very high anxiety and trust issues. My other pug is sweet and well adjusted but very bossy and demanding and emotional. Bailey managed to make more progress with my anxious pug than most people make in months, and kept me updated on how they were doing. I knew they were in the most caring, competent hands and didn’t worry about them at all when I was away. I hope he’s willing to come back again because we would love to have him take care of the puglets again!”

8. Kiana & Mitchell G.
“Kiana was so kind. She cared for my teacup yorkie while I was away for a few weeks. She sent photo updates everyday which made me miss my pup a little less. You could really tell when talking to her that she cares for your dog just as she cares for hers. I recommend Kiana to everyone and will definitely be having her watch my dog during my next coming trips.”

9. Yasmine B.
“Yasmine used to look after my goldfish sparky when i was away at work but now unfortunately he has passed on to a better world. I question what she did with sparky while sitting. One day i came home and he had a mustache drawn on to his face. When I questioned Yasmine she denied drawing the mustache and claimed he was rubbing his face on the rocks and thats probably what it was. I stopped using Yasmine as a pet sitter when I came home one day and there was a siamese fighting fish in the tank and sparky was gone. She said she found him dead and replaced him to make me feel better but i then found she had a youtube channel where she posted videos of fish fights to the death. There was 5 videos... so i had 5 different sparkys and she would replace them after there death... I now own the fish that has killed my 5 sparkys and Yasmine has been fired.”

And any animal I've ever seen her with is being petted and adored and pampered. She is very responsible. And an animal lover. She would be an asset to any pet caregiving needs. All the best.”

18. Hubert L.
