About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since high school or for about 8 years now! I’m very comfortable around all breeds of dogs and have experience with both smaller and larger breeds, and older and younger pups too! Let me know if you’d like any references from my previous pet families and I’d love to send some contacts over to you :) I currently work a full time 9am-4pm job but I can be available to check in and hangout with your pets early morning before work or after work as needed (or both!) I also usually have 2 days off each week during which time I can be available for most of the day to come hang out with your pets or take them on my adventures with me (whatever your more comfortable with)! About: Hello, I'm Leah and I've been fortunate to live for 20 years on Tla-o-qui-aht territory. I got to share over 14 of those beautiful years with my faithful companion, Daisy. We lost our beloved girl to old age early this year. So we are for the time being a family with no dog. So, I'm offering dog care and walking to locals and visitors to Tofino. We live in a house with a big yard, near the field and trails in town. We have a memory foam dog bed with a washable cover and we can accommodate one dog at a time for overnight stays at our house. I have a flexible schedule as I work from home. I can offer dog care any time of day, let me know about your needs. I will keep your pet on a leash while we get to know each other. I will discuss the amount and types of treats you're OK with. I'm happy to listen to your unique circumstances and customize care.

I am available mornings before 9:30am, evenings after 4pm and I have weekends off. We love all furry breeds! I am a self employed carpenter/dogtrainer filling my time with taking my 4-legged friends to the beach or trails with me, there's lots to explore for you and your dog! After taking your dog on a little adventure we keep them tucked on their bed or the couch wherever they feel comfortable, we do have a medium crate at the house available if needed too

“We booked last minuted because we hadn't thought about what our dog would do when we were on our bear tour. Staying at the Crystal Cove, Carol's other job was here so she was able to meet Ruby before we decided. I knew right away that she would be a good fit because she Ruby was happy to meet her. Our dog was super tired from a long day and she gave her lots of cuddles. It was great that she sent us photos so we wouldn't worry. Never left our dog with anyone before. She was also really accommodating when it came to meeting us beforehand a couple of times (both to make sure she was comfortable and the dogs). She left our apartment in the same condition in which we left it, the dogs were calm and comfortable upon our return.
