About: Walking just isn’t the same without a smiley goof by your side. Life time of experience walking and enjoying the companionship of pups. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand the care that goes into them. I have also volunteered at the local animal shelter here in Tofino as their dog walker. Available to work in mornings or evenings, and occasional afternoons if the time permits, depending on the length of walks I may be able to fit it into my breaks at work as well! About: Hello, I'm Leah and I've been fortunate to live for 20 years on Tla-o-qui-aht territory. I got to share over 14 of those beautiful years with my faithful companion, Daisy. We lost our beloved girl to old age early this year. So, we are for the time being a family with no dog. I'm offering dog care and walking to locals and visitors to Tofino. We live in a house with a big yard, near the field and trails in town. We have a memory foam dog bed with a washable cover and we can accommodate one dog at a time for overnight stays at our house. Staying at the Crystal Cove, Carol's other job was here so she was able to meet Ruby before we decided. I knew right away that she would be a good fit because she Ruby was happy to meet her. I cannot recommend Milena enough. I was in Tofino for a conference and didn’t want to leave my active pup, Monty, at home, but it also wasn’t fair to leave him in a hotel room all day while I was stuck in sessions. Milena was truly a lifesaver. She went above and beyond, driving all the way from Ucluelet to Tofino early in the morning to pick Monty up so I didn’t have to juggle conference logistics. On the evening we ran late, she even dropped him back off so I would not have to navigate the unfamiliar windy roads in the dark. That level of thoughtfulness and care meant the world to me. As a local, she knew all the best spots where Monty could safely enjoy being off leash even though his recall is far from perfect. She sent me many pictures and videos throughout the day, and it was clear Monty was having the time of his life. Her own dog, Cleo, was such a friendly companion and gave Monty the perfect playmate. By the end of each day, Monty was happily exhausted which was exactly what I needed after long and tiring conference days myself. I am so grateful for Milena’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for dogs. She made it possible for me to fully enjoy my time in Tofino, knowing my pup was not only cared for but also having his own adventure.
