“Joanna and Mark stayed for one week in our home and cared for our high energy/anxious dog and laid back cat. They exceeded all expectations! Both are incredibly kind, caring and responsible people. Their #1 priority was the wellbeing of our pets, and they strived to make sure they were happy and healthy. Our dog and cat quickly fell in love with Joanna and Mark. They provided morning and evening updates along with photos to help put our minds at ease while we were on vacation. Our home was treated with respect, and we returned to a sparkling clean house! We highly recommend them, and look forward to having them stay again in the future.”

“Seika arrived right on time as agreed and was friendly and was great with our dog. She communicated throughout the dog sit and took our dog for some bathroom breaks and short walks as agreed to beforehand. We would recommend her for your dog sit!”

About: Hello, I'm Leah and I've been fortunate to live for 20 years on Tla-o-qui-aht territory. I got to share over 14 of those beautiful years with my faithful companion, Daisy. We lost our beloved girl to old age early this year. So we are for the time being a family with no dog. So, I'm offering dog care and walking to locals and visitors to Tofino. We live in a house with a big yard, near the field and trails in town. We have a memory foam dog bed with a washable cover and we can accommodate one dog at a time for overnight stays at our house. I have a flexible schedule as I work from home. I can offer dog care any time of day, let me know about your needs. I will keep your pet on a leash while we get to know each other. I will discuss the amount and types of treats you're OK with. I'm happy to listen to your unique circumstances and customize care.
“Keely was amazing. We were scrambling to find someone to watch our dog and Keely took our booking request the same day to bail us out. Great communication and very punctual. I’d book Keely again for sure!”

“Milena was amazing, as soon as she arrived I felt so comfortable that I chose her to mind Bruno , Her knowledge , attention to detail and just passion about dogs was perfect! Bruno took a liking to her instantly which he usually is nervous around new people . And even when she was leaving he was visually upset which shows they had such a good time together, l She kept me updated with what they were doing along with plenty of pictures to reassure me that Bruno was in good , safe hands which was very much appreciated , I would highly recommend letting milena mind your dog, and I will certainly be using her again next time we are in the area”

“We booked last minuted because we hadn't thought about what our dog would do when we were on our bear tour. Staying at the Crystal Cove, Carol's other job was here so she was able to meet Ruby before we decided. I knew right away that she would be a good fit because she Ruby was happy to meet her. Our dog was super tired from a long day and she gave her lots of cuddles. It was great that she sent us photos so we wouldn't worry. Never left our dog with anyone before. Would defintiley book again with more plannning next time we come to town. Thanks Carol, Virginia”

“Sarah was very communicative and considerate with the needs of our dogs. She was also really accommodating when it came to meeting us beforehand a couple of times (both to make sure she was comfortable and the dogs). She left our apartment in the same condition in which we left it, the dogs were calm and comfortable upon our return. We are so grateful to Sarah for taking amazing care of our Dogs, and would absolutely have her stay with us again! Thank you!!!”

Ucluelet pet parents share their Rover experiences
Brenda and Aksel were absolutely amazing! From first contact to organize and plan a surprise getaway, get to know you/puppy call, updates throughout the day, and debrief when we got back. Clearly comfortable and caring with dogs (and puppies!), we were so comfortable and confident in our first Rover sitters ever. Thank you again for all of your care and love for our pup. We came home to a very happy puppy who was obviously well cared for and had all of her needs met (and more).

I cannot recommend Milena enough. I was in Tofino for a conference and didn’t want to leave my active pup, Monty, at home, but it also wasn’t fair to leave him in a hotel room all day while I was stuck in sessions. Milena was truly a lifesaver. She went above and beyond, driving all the way from Ucluelet to Tofino early in the morning to pick Monty up so I didn’t have to juggle conference logistics. On the evening we ran late, she even dropped him back off so I would not have to navigate the unfamiliar windy roads in the dark. That level of thoughtfulness and care meant the world to me. As a local, she knew all the best spots where Monty could safely enjoy being off leash even though his recall is far from perfect. She sent me many pictures and videos throughout the day, and it was clear Monty was having the time of his life. Her own dog, Cleo, was such a friendly companion and gave Monty the perfect playmate. By the end of each day, Monty was happily exhausted which was exactly what I needed after long and tiring conference days myself. I am so grateful for Milena’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for dogs. She made it possible for me to fully enjoy my time in Tofino, knowing my pup was not only cared for but also having his own adventure. If you are looking for a dog walker or sitter who treats your dog like family, look no further. Milena is truly exceptional.
