Pet Sitting Ucluelet

About: Aksel and I are a married couple living in Ucluelet. Over the years, we have taken care of many pets both in town and abroad. The pets we have looked after include rescues with varying needs, large dog breeds, a 3 month old puppy, indoor and outdoor cats, and senior pets that required daily medication. We have both grown up with dogs, and have taken care of them from puppyhood until senior status. We also have experience with chickens, peacocks, goats, hamsters, birds, and fish. While mostly interested in walks and drop-in visits these days, we are open to house-sits if it is the right fit. Since most of our reviews have taken place on a different pet-sitting platform, we have included some of those in the form of screenshots in our pictures. Please take a look there to see more of the feedback we have received from pet owners. I (Brenda) am a photographer and filmmaker. Aksel runs his own tutoring company and also teaches surf lessons. We are both planning to pursue a degree in clinical counselling later this year. The dream is to stay in Ukee long-term and contribute to this wonderful community! Both Aksel and myself (Brenda) currently have fairly open schedules. We have availability most weekdays before 1 pm and after 5 pm. We are available on weekends also. While house-sitting in others' homes, we make sure to maintain clear and consistent communication with the pet owners. We like to have a video call or in-person meeting before the house-sit begins as a way to build trust and gather all the necessary information. During our sits, we send regular updates with pictures and videos. Throughout the 10 house-sits we have completed so far, we have easily adapted to the pets' routines (walks, meals, and overall play/cuddle time). We understand that it must be a little confusing/stressful for pets to be separated from their owners, and so do our best to keep their daily structure going while giving them lots of love!

About: I work remotely, therefore i’m able to give a lot of attention, belly rubs, exercise and lots of love to pets :) I have owned pets my entire life, dogs, rabbits, birds, and a hedgehog! I have lots of experience with puppies, senior dogs and reactive dogs. I work remote so I always have lots of time to give attention, belly rubs and lots of love! I love spending lots of time outdoors so as many walks as needed is more than okay with me! I follow instructions throughly and make sure all pets are always well monitored from wherever they are. I keep a close eye on all pets at all times!

About: I've had dogs in my life for the last twenty years and absolutely loved being a dog mom. Recently our family dog crossed the rainbow bridge and we are looking to connect with other dogs. We love animals and look forward to cuddling yours. I will treat your pet like one of our own - lots of snuggles, walks and treats! I work from home as a freelance contractor. I have plenty of time during the day and on weekends to spend with your pet. Walks rain or shine! We have an animal friendly home and yard. Dogs will be kept on leash while out on walks. Please pack any favourite toys or treats so we can make sure your pet is comfortable.

About: My partner and I have experience taking care of large dogs, senior and puppies, that require lots of activity and attention. I also have experience taking care of cats in the same household, and cats on their own. I love taking care of both cats and dogs. I currently work Mon-Fri 8-4:30, but available on lunch to take the dog out for a walk or let the cat in/out. I am up early so enjoy a morning walk which works well with dogs to give them some activity first thing in the morning. I follow instructions given to me by clients very carefully, and take them seriously. I clean up after the pets and make sure they are comfortable in the home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since high school or for about 8 years now! I’m very comfortable around all breeds of dogs and have experience with both smaller and larger breeds, and older and younger pups too! Let me know if you’d like any references from my previous pet families and I’d love to send some contacts over to you :) I currently work a full time 9am-4pm job but I can be available to check in and hangout with your pets early morning before work or after work as needed (or both!) I also usually have 2 days off each week during which time I can be available for most of the day to come hang out with your pets or take them on my adventures with me (whatever your more comfortable with)! Pet care is a huge responsibility and I take it seriously, that means caring for your space as well! I always treat people’s homes with respect and trust and I have a long list of references that can back me up!

About: Hello, I'm Leah and I've been fortunate to live for 20 years on Tla-o-qui-aht territory. I got to share over 14 of those beautiful years with my faithful companion, Daisy. We lost our beloved girl to old age early this year. So, we are for the time being a family with no dog. I'm offering dog care and walking to locals and visitors to Tofino. We live in a house with a big yard, near the field and trails in town. We have a memory foam dog bed with a washable cover and we can accommodate one dog at a time for overnight stays at our house.
