About: I work remotely, therefore i’m able to give a lot of attention, belly rubs, exercise and lots of love to pets :) I have owned pets my entire life, dogs, rabbits, birds, and a hedgehog! I have lots of experience with puppies, senior dogs and reactive dogs. I work remote so I always have lots of time to give attention, belly rubs and lots of love! I love spending lots of time outdoors so as many walks as needed is more than okay with me! I follow instructions throughly and make sure all pets are always well monitored from wherever they are. I keep a close eye on all pets at all times!

About: Aksel and I are a married couple living in Ucluelet. Over the years, we have taken care of many pets both in town and abroad. The pets we have looked after include rescues with varying needs, large dog breeds, a 3 month old puppy, indoor and outdoor cats, and senior pets that required daily medication. We have both grown up with dogs, and have taken care of them from puppyhood until senior status. We also have experience with chickens, peacocks, goats, hamsters, birds, and fish. While mostly interested in walks and drop-in visits these days, we are open to house-sits if it is the right fit. Since most of our reviews have taken place on a different pet-sitting platform, we have included some of those in the form of screenshots in our pictures. Please take a look there to see more of the feedback we have received from pet owners. I (Brenda) am a photographer and filmmaker. Aksel runs his own tutoring company and also teaches surf lessons. We are both planning to pursue a degree in clinical counselling later this year. The dream is to stay in Ukee long-term and contribute to this wonderful community! Both Aksel and myself (Brenda) currently have fairly open schedules. We have availability most weekdays before 1 pm and after 5 pm. We are available on weekends also. While house-sitting in others' homes, we make sure to maintain clear and consistent communication with the pet owners. We like to have a video call or in-person meeting before the house-sit begins as a way to build trust and gather all the necessary information. During our sits, we send regular updates with pictures and videos. Throughout the 10 house-sits we have completed so far, we have easily adapted to the pets' routines (walks, meals, and overall play/cuddle time). We understand that it must be a little confusing/stressful for pets to be separated from their owners, and so do our best to keep their daily structure going while giving them lots of love!

About: My partner and I have experience taking care of large dogs, senior and puppies, that require lots of activity and attention. I also have experience taking care of cats in the same household, and cats on their own. I love taking care of both cats and dogs. I currently work Mon-Fri 8-4:30, but available on lunch to take the dog out for a walk or let the cat in/out. I am up early so enjoy a morning walk which works well with dogs to give them some activity first thing in the morning. I follow instructions given to me by clients very carefully, and take them seriously. I clean up after the pets and make sure they are comfortable in the home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since high school or for about 8 years now! I’m very comfortable around all breeds of dogs and have experience with both smaller and larger breeds, and older and younger pups too! Let me know if you’d like any references from my previous pet families and I’d love to send some contacts over to you :) I currently work a full time 9am-4pm job but I can be available to check in and hangout with your pets early morning before work or after work as needed (or both!) I also usually have 2 days off each week during which time I can be available for most of the day to come hang out with your pets or take them on my adventures with me (whatever your more comfortable with)! Pet care is a huge responsibility and I take it seriously, that means caring for your space as well! I always treat people’s homes with respect and trust and I have a long list of references that can back me up!

About: Hello, I'm Leah and I've been fortunate to live for 20 years on Tla-o-qui-aht territory. I got to share over 14 of those beautiful years with my faithful companion, Daisy. We lost our beloved girl to old age early this year. So, we are for the time being a family with no dog. I'm offering dog care and walking to locals and visitors to Tofino. We live in a house with a big yard, near the field and trails in town. We have a memory foam dog bed with a washable cover and we can accommodate one dog at a time for overnight stays at our house. I have a flexible schedule as I work from home. I can offer dog care any time of day, let me know about your needs. I will keep your pet on a leash while we get to know each other. I will discuss the amount and types of treats you're OK with. I'm happy to listen to your unique circumstances and customize care.

About: Spring and summer bookings are starting to fill up, and I’m excited to welcome both new and returning clients this season. If you’re hoping to book walks, drop-ins, daycare, overnight stays, or house sitting, I recommend reaching out at least a week in advance whenever possible. I’ll always do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when I can, but booking ahead gives you the best chance of availability. I offer premium, personalized dog care in Tofino, (and can travel to Ucluelet when possible) for people who want more than the basics. My approach blends adventure, structure, and calm companionship so your dog feels genuinely well cared for while you’re away. Services 🐾 Dog Walking: My walks are unhurried and thoughtful, with enough time for pickup, transportation, and a full outing so your dog can actually enjoy themselves rather than being rushed through a quick lap. ☀️ Doggy Day Care (in my home): A full day of personalized care with beach or trail adventures, enrichment, downtime, and plenty of attention. 🏡 House Sitting (overnight in your home): A calm, attentive presence for both your dog and your home, with walks, cuddles, routine care, and thoughtful updates. ✨ Drop-In Visits: Ideal for half-day care, companionship, potty breaks, enrichment, and one-on-one attention while you’re out. 🐾 Boarding (overnight in my home): A cozy home-away-from-home experience with movement, rest, and individualized care. Puppy care, extended care, transport, and online training consultations are also available. For current pricing, please refer to the Rover booking page, where rates and service details are shown directly. Note: Some dogs are a great fit for shared adventures with my dog Cleo, while others do best with one-on-one care and more personal space. I’m happy to offer either depending on your dog’s temperament, comfort level, and what will help them feel most successful. About me: I’m Mila - a dedicated dog caretaker, holistic nutrition student, and experienced animal person with over 10 years of hands-on care. I’ve worked with dogs of many different ages, temperaments, and needs, including seniors, shy or nervous dogs, and high-energy dogs who need a little extra patience and understanding. Clients often tell me their dogs warm up to me quickly, appreciate the thoughtful updates, and return home happy and settled. I care deeply about creating a safe, enjoyable experience for your dog and real peace of mind for you. Caring for dogs is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I build my days around walks, outdoor time, feeding, rest, enrichment, and calm companionship, so dogs in my care are included in a steady, thoughtful routine rather than squeezed into a busy schedule. Mornings often begin with a long walk or adventure, followed by downtime, meals, and quiet settling time. Midday and afternoons can include another walk, enrichment, play, or relaxed companionship depending on each dog’s needs and energy level. I aim for a healthy balance of activity, structure, and rest so dogs feel happy, safe, and well cared for throughout the day I offer a calm, attentive, safety-first approach in both my home and my clients’ homes. My home is small but cozy, clean, and set up to help dogs relax and settle after walks and adventures. While I don’t have a large yard, I make up for that with plenty of outdoor time, structured walks, enrichment, and supervision. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I tailor care to each dog’s personality, comfort level, and routine. Some dogs are a great fit for shared adventures with my dog Cleo, while others do best with one-on-one care and more space. I’m careful about introductions and always want dogs set up for calm, successful experiences. In a client’s home, I respect the dog’s normal routine as much as possible so they feel secure and comfortable while you’re away.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ucluelet choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
