During their four day stay, Allie messaged me updates and pictures which was great as I then knew everything was going well. One of our dogs is reactive towards other stranger dogs so it can be daunting to leave her in the care of other people, but due to Allie’s notes and going over our reactive dogs triggers, there were no issues during the stay and our dogs were really well cared for. I highly recommend Allie’s services, and will absolutely be booking with Allie in the future!”

About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

I'd love to take your furry friend out for a walk or drop in visits or doggy day care (must be good with other dogs as I have a mini dachund) I work full time, so I keep my schedule up to date. Love to spend time outdoors walking or running (my dog goes on almost all adventures with me) but we also enjoy our downtime snuggling up watching a good show or movie. Boarding rates apply to 8am drop-off and 8am pick the following day (24 hours) $100 Daycare rates apply to 8am drop off and 6pm pick up (10 hours) $63 Additional hours for early drop-off (before 8am) and late pick-up (after 6pm) is $12/ hour Please note: The 20% Rover fee for hosts is included in these rates. Rover charges guests an additional 11% at check out. Dogs stay comfortably in my home, couch time included! They’ll have fresh water and meals (provided by their owner) throughout their stay. Treats and poop bags are always on hand. Pups can enjoy a home-like environment with qualified supervision. The front yard is fully fenced for play time and potty breaks.
