“Madi is such a great dog sitter for our dog, Doug! She's been doing walks and drop ins for us for the last 6 months or so and is always professional and lovely (lots of tail wags). Thank you always Madi!”

“Erica was great with Barkley again today!! He loves it when she visits! Erica even went above and beyond by taking extra precaution to make sure Barkley didn't get too rough with his cat brother who has an injured leg!! Thanks again Erica!! ❤️”

I’ve looked after pets for years, including my family cat in Australia and many dogs and cats for friends and family. As someone who lives an active, outdoor lifestyle, I’m perfect for energetic dogs who need proper exercise, runs, and playtime. I’m equally happy keeping things calm and sticking to routine for more relaxed pets or independent cats. About: I love dogs and animals and miss having them in my life. I grew up in Calgary with a border collie named Bowser and we went on many adventures such as hiking and exploring. I have looked after friends pets and have begun volunteering with MARS wildlife rescue and would like to be more involved in the community here in the Valley. I am able to walk pets at least twice a day or come and look after your pet at their home. I am a responsible individual who takes pride in being on time and detail oriented with strong active listening skills. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I work as a boat captain so I am out during the day but I love getting out early for walks and adventuring after work. I am in a pet friendly apartment and have a bike that I take on the trails close by. I also have a vehicle I can take to go further afield for adventures
“Thomas went above and beyond for our two cats while we were away for a week. While some sitters feed and leave, I love that Thomas took the time every visit to play with and snuggle our kitties. He took great care of our home as well. One of our cats needed medication administered, and Thomas was able to handle her additional needs very well. Would highly recommend him to take care of your fur babies.”

About: Hi! My name is Kelsey, an Aussie animal lover who has recently relocated to Campbell River. I have my own dog back in Australia—my best mate—which has given me a strong understanding of daily care, companionship, and responsibility. In addition, I have provided pet-sitting services for family and friends, caring for multiple dogs and cats for periods ranging from a few days to several months, and have been entrusted through a referral to care for a dog outside my personal network. My experience includes drop-in visits, in-home sitting, walking, feeding, playtime, administering medication, and ensuring pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m here to make tails wag and hearts happy ☺️🐾 As a recent Canadian resident, I am not currently working and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate time and attention to caring for pets. I offer in-home pet care services exclusively. By caring for pets in their own homes, I maintain their familiar routines and environment, helping them feel secure and comfortable. Every pet receives attentive and personalised care.
About: I've owned and looked after dogs since I was under 10 years old. Recently fostered a reactive dog and have helped out in dog shelters in the past. I currently have a mini dachund that has a very fun personality. I'd love to take your furry friend out for a walk or drop in visits or doggy day care (must be good with other dogs as I have a mini dachund) I work full time, so I keep my schedule up to date. Love to spend time outdoors walking or running (my dog goes on almost all adventures with me) but we also enjoy our downtime snuggling up watching a good show or movie. I own a pet friendly condo that has a small fenced patio and access to community gardens. My dog gets 2 long walks a day and multiple short outings to do potty. Will cater to each dogs individual needs.
About: I have cared for dogs since I was 13 years old. I have experience with puppies and adult dogs. I enjoy spending time with dogs. I will care for your dogs as though they were my own. I have experience administering medication and will ensure your pet’s needs are met.
“My girl Teaka had a great time with Bailey. You could tell when i picked her up how they interacted together & she gave him kisses before we left. I had a full day of errands around Abbotsford / Chilliwack and coming far out of town it was difficult for me to syncronize everything but Bailey was so accomodating & it made my day much smoother. I would happily leave Teaka with Bailey again.”

About: I have taken care of animals as small as cats and Shih Tzus all the way up to Irish Wolfhounds and horses! No animal is too big or small! (Excluding boarding since I can’t exactly bring a horse into my apartment haha) I am currently working part time so I can likely find time to fit in the pup. I am quite flexible and the animals come first! At my home the puppers would have 2-3 walks per day and potty breaks every 2-4 hours depending on the pup! I have multiple great trails within walking distance and a plethora more within a short drive!

Madison was amazing with our cat while we were away for two weeks. She took such great care of him and sent regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We especially appreciated her flexibility in helping us out on short notice. Knowing Maverick was happy and well cared for made our trip so much less stressful. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
